I still think the electorate is largely un-pollable. Looking at ME-2, a tossup race where the GOP has a decent pickup opportunity. University of NH dropped a poll over a week ago where they had the Dem up 6. That Dem just released an internal poll saying he is up only 2, which means its a tossup and the Republican may well be in the lead. But clearly being 4 points to the left of a released internal poll doesn’t speak well of UNH.

Unfortunately, there are probably a lot of traitors in government jobs now because colleges are turning out hundreds of thousands of indoctrinated graduates every year.
“Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, 51, a resident of Richland, Washington, was arrested this morning and charged with attempting to provide material support or resources to the Houthis, a designated foreign terrorist organization.
[…]
According to court records, Ellaboudy, who was a Department of Energy employee, came to the attention of the FBI after they received information that he had purchased precursor chemicals, components, and other materials commonly used in the construction of homemade explosive devices. In addition to the precursor chemicals, the investigation revealed Ellaboudy had also purchased parts used for the construction of drones and remotely operated aerial systems.”

Colin Kaepernick’s Wife Surprised By How He’s Handled Losing $150 Million”
Zzzzz…
He didn’t “lose 150 million”
He was 3 years removed from his SB appearance and not playing well.
He probably could have gotten a 2 year $10 million contract, and got more from his big settlement with the NFL.
The article also says he is still “ready for a comeback if the knock on the door comes”.
I don’t think so. When they needed a has been QB they picked Phillip Rivers.

Two thoughts.
FIRST, you all know I love to spend lots if time watching videos of police interactions with persons who have committed traffic violations, assault, shoplifting, various misdemeanor and felony I fractions.
For instance, the person who committed the violation/crime is absolutely guilty of driving without seatbelt on, speeding, suspended license for 3 years, having no insurance, and has outstanding warrants. Yet they will beca.e irate and insist thet they DID have their seatbelt on and the cops are just being guilty of harassment or racism.
The law breaker is unable to process the full reality. Refuses to get out of car, fights when they tell him the car will be towed, etc.
They insist they k ow their rights, which they don’t.
WHY IS THAT?
*******
Secondly, the criminal who has violated all sorts of laws, lies to the lolice, gives the. False name, and fights, bites, kicks and spits on police officers and threatens to kill then a d their family…..AND ARE WEARING WITHER A CEOSS TATTOO OR WEARING A CROSS NEACKLACE.
They are no more Christian in their years of actions and behavior than the man I’m the moon.

What was Nixon’s “crime” exactly?
Nixon’s impeachment was a political, not a legal act.
Nixon was not involved in the original crime, the Watergate burglary.
He tried to protect people around him who were involved, had he immediately fired everyone and burned the tapes before subpoena was issued nothing would have happened.
He was backstabbed by James Dean, a moron that still appears on TV to shill for Democrats and by “deep throat”.
The MSM indicted Nixon and the pompous asses in the Senate went along with it.
Nixon was narcissistic and arrogant, but in my view the greatest statesman of the 20th century as President.
I still haven’t read one thing that convinces me he actually committed and “high crimes and misdemeanors”

Additionally what has happened to morality standards in science, workplace, business and industry, education K-12, Higher Ed, polling industry, movies music and entertainment industry, non-profits, news media,…even organized churches like the United Methodist Church and others…
Anyone see any of the above that have INCREASED morality as compared to 40 years ago?

BL, I suppose I could obtain a letter of marque and reprisal to take some pressure off of the Navy, but I should note that Art I, Sec. 8, Clause 13 stipulates that Congress is empowered to “provide and maintain” a Navy, meaning that the Navyw as envisioned as the only standing force in the minds of the Framers, whereas the preceding Article (12), empowers Congress, verbatim, “To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years.” Big distinction, standing armies were seen as a potential threat that could destabilize the nation (as they had done elsewhere), and thus the power to “raise” an army when necessary clearly implied that said army was to be temporary.

BL, my own cruiser from Hawaii, Lake Erie, was decomissioned in San Diego last Friday. I got the chance to walk the decks once more (hadn’t been onboard for any reason in at least a dozen years), it was eerie to find no noise at all, no pumps running, no fans, just a warm to hot ship inside with most of the electornic guts ripped out (all classified materials removed). My own radar was almost totally gutted save for some transformers and high volltage power supplies. My old CO was the guest speaker, he is a retired Admiral now. He informed me that the radar bits are being refurbished and will see new life over at Aegis ashore in eastern Europe, so that’s a relief. Rumor has it that the hull will be saved for the time being pending a decision on modernization with the new radars I work on now; she was amongst the last three CGs, and was completed in 1993, so she still has some life left in her.
The cruisers left at Philly are the ancients, particularly those with the “twin armed bandit” Mk26 missile launcher (it’s the one that sticks up out of the deck, two rails to launch simultanaeously) compared the Mk41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) which consists of 8 x 8 silo modules (total of 61 tubes, three reserved for a strikedown crane). Each has its merits (the 26 can fire a bird straigh out at lower angles against a clsoe in target whereas the 41 has a pop up delay before the missile heels over and hooks onto a track), but the 41 can empty the launchers in less than a minute if the fecal material hit the proverbial fan. Anyhow, even if they had had the latest and greatest radar and weapons systems, those are all gutted, too, awaiting final disposition (most likely to be sunk as targets).

IN VA 6 CD
the R, Ben Cline, should win that in a cakewalk. I travel this area in the I 81 corridor south of Winchester. Heavy conservative R.
*****
In WV US Senate, R incumbent Shwlley Moore Capito should win easily. She has raised $6.5MM and her opponent has raised $50,000.
I predict this will ne Capito’s last race. She is about my age.
in the CD in my part of thr state, Incumbent R Riley Moore should win 2/3 of the vote. His opponent is an Iranian born nut… Ace Parci. I think he ran unsuccessfully for Congress previously when he lived in VA.
******
this 3 county eastern panhandle of WV…
It used to be (when I first was elected in 2002) more Ds state legislators from this area than Rs. By the time I retired in 2016, all legislative seats except 1 were held by Rs. The one D soon switched to R and is now WV Senate finance chair. He was the one I beat in 2010, then he won in 2012 and I won in 2014. I chose to term limit myself after 12 years of elective service. Then he narrowly won the open seat in 2016 when the R just stopped campaigning a month before the election…and then the D winner switched from D to R shortly after he won reelection in 2018 and was on ballot as a D.
********
10 of the 100 WV State house of Delegates seats are in these 3 counties.
*******
I predict that the Ds may pick up 2 or 3 of these local legislative seats. I hope one of the D pickups is the far right nutjob libertarian acting R who is sadly the delegate representing the district I live in.
#########
Issues here: two proposed high voltage transmission lines thru here, data centers here and elsewhere, lots of local dissatisfaction with k-12 education system in Berkekey and Jefferson counties, high gasoline prices,…
….PLUS… R Gov. Morissey recent announcement that WV had gotten Feds to agree to add WV as one of 4 possible states to be considered for locating a nuclear energy campus to deal with all aspects of nuclear energy including disposal of nuke fuels.
Public opposition firestorm hit and Morissey quickly did a 180 and said we are pulling out of being considered for spent nuke fuel disposal site.
Morissey was a good and effective WV Attorney Gereral. He is stupid as governor and makes many unforced errors and puckscfights where he should not have– just like Trump. Morissey’s star is plummeting. 4 or 5 of his cabinet secretaries has left his administration in the last 5 months or so.
I do NOT think he will win primary for reelection as governor in 2028. I do NOT think he could win if he ran for US SENATE for the Sen. Justice slot… I think Morissey actions will help Ds gain some legislative seats statewide this cycle.
