Historic gaslighting pollster Marist University is back for more, saying its a Dem Tsunami.

They have Talarico up 50/44, and Abbott losing 49/46. The good news is Paxton’s gap is only trailing Abbott’s by 3 in the poll.

But the polls are all over the place. Co/Efficient has the CT Governor race with the Dem up only 48/41.

Siena University (no friend of Republicans) has Hochul up only 50/41 in NY.

CNN’s generic ballot is Dem +8, which is the same as their prior poll suggesting there is not really a sudden shift like some of the others are claiming.

And Quantus just dropped a NC polling showing Cooper in NC under 50 but leading 48/43 over Whatley.

    I looked at the dress. At first glance it looked ok, was not too short, but then I saw it was sleeveless.

    I think if she wore any kind of jacket over it then it would be fine.

    While not grossly inappropriate, I think its akin to a male lawyer taking off his coat and wearing a short sleeve shirt in the courtroom.

    I will defer to Bitter and his wife on courtroom etiquette.

    At the llama owner’s convention it would not have raised any eyebrows.

    just not sure what to make of all these disparate polls.

    Another Governor poll just dropped…yougov, showing the Republican Jackson up 3 over Bottoms in GA.

    Georgia, New York and Connecticut make up a decent sized sample of the overall population of the country, and the three governor polls just released for these states do not suggest any sort of coming blue tsunami. Not unless there is massive ticket splitting going on.

    Years ago, I was in court where the AC was not working in August. The Judge said men could remove their jackets. None of us did since the Judge was still wearing a robe and nobody wanted to be the first to take the jacket off.

    Here in the populous Eastern Panhandle (in the 55 counties, the 3 counties HERE elect 12 of the 100 .embers of the WV Hoise of Delegates….

    The D candidates for local WV legislative seats are C level candidates who are often retreads who ran before and were defeated for legislative seats and/or county commission seats.

    About 5% of WV population is AA and about 8 or 9 % of this area’s population is AA, but we have a bunch of D candidates who are AA. Foe legialative seats and county commissioner. They seems to be community activists who are good talkers but really do not know the ins and outs of the state issues.

    Main D talking points are affordability, transparency opposition to data centers, accountability…

    We now have two of the 5 elected Berkeley county school board members who are AA. The one just elected is a true nut case, poop stirrer who has a big presence on Facebook. She stirs controverct where there is none or has facts that are not facts.

    Falsely claims racism is rampant and her and her supporters throw the race card a lot.was strongly supported bt the teschers union.

    She got the most votes for the 3 seats up for reelection in May. She is an absolute idiot. Ran and lost big for mayor of Martinsburg last cycle.

    People like her because “she is a fighter and not afraid to speak her mind.” Sound familiar?

    ALL legislative seats in this area are held bt Rs. I expect some of the Ds to win some seats here, because our R incumbents are pretty pitiful.

    Would not be surprised if the Rs lose 2 or 3 legislative seats here in November.. .

    The local D candidates are wisely staying away from the D national platform on most of the national issues. Trying to localize the election and focus on affordability, transparency, and opposition to data centers.

    Rs not doing a very good job in listing all the positive things the Rs have done recently, including ending state income tax in SS income, WV state 100% rebate on property tax paid on vehicles, good local and state economy and job creation, good efforts of combating drug addiction and rehabilitation, etc.

    My goofball far right R delegate focuses on “life, liberty and property” as he votes no on practically every piece of legislation during the session. He has accomplished zero of his campaign promises from 2 years ago and none of his bills move becsuse he is a nut. Two years ago, the House Speaker campaigned for his R opponent (who ran a bad campaign) in the primary because he knew the guy was a nut.

    But the guy who won and holds the seat was a former pro gun lobbyist and is big on guns….

    The WV Republicans are also struggling to overcome their idiotic move by the WV State Party executive committee voting narrowly this year to bad independent voters from voting in R primaries.

    it used to be the Ds banned the Indys and the Rs benefited from that. Now the Rs are making the sa.e mistake.

    Plus the nutwings have formed the Constitution Party and are pitting up candidates.

    Plus one R former delegate and former county commissioner here ran on the primary for a State Senate on this area and lost to the incumbent R.

    So he is doing a write in campaign for that senate seat which already has a D and a R candidate. He is on the WV state Republican Executive Committee and the bylaws say if you do that, then you cannot be on the State Executive Committee so they kicked him off.

    Now he Is at war with the Executive Committee and claims they illegally threw him off the Executive Committee.

    Neighboring County Jefferson has all 5 elected county commissioners as Rs. They fight like cats and dogs over everything.

    LAST YEAR, two R women commissions did not get their way on something so they refused to attend any commission meetings and they could not meet because no quorum. Suit was filed to remove both and it was successful.

    My favorite part of the lesbian bar story is that the bar did not prohibit people coming to the bar based on their ability to pay or being unhoused (homeless). I don’t know about you but I am always looking to go to bars where the patrons might be homeless and I have to wear a mask. Seems more like a homeless shelter bar.
