Here is what happened.
Paxton is still a weak, unpopular, baggage ridden candidate who is not able to unite even Republicans against a creepy commie weirdo like Talarico.
Labor Day did nothing to change that.

I think Paxton will pull it out in the end. The above pollster last had it Talarico +2. Now they say +1, and the evidence suggests Talarico is at his high water mark. Cornyn would be way up. Too bad we had to waste money on this one.

Because our “Churchill” and ever-“popular” “leader of the Ukrainian resistance” could lose to either of them, according to all existing polling, especially commissioned by his own camp.
So Zelensky continues to publicly insist that elections cannot be held during wartime.
He simply fears losing power.
Because for him, losing office could mean losing everything — influence, money, the standing ovations from his Western brothers and sisters in crime, and, perhaps most inconveniently, the presidential immunity from having his “genius leadership” examined without the flattering lighting.

DW, Ukraine has long had a reputation of government corruption. Zelenskyy’s anti-corruption campaign message and promise to end it was why he was elected with over 70% of the vote. However, he did little about it, with early NYT reports of government officials participating in siphoning off funding meant for the war effort and its people. So, yes, initially he was seen as an ethical reformer. Now, however, he has grown into a Putin- like dictator who most of the Ukrainian people fear and hate. I think some here are so consumed by their Putin hatred, they are either unable to see or maybe admit that Zelenskyy has evolved into someone no different from the Russian tyrant they consider evil.

so lets take Haiti. A corrupt country if there ever was one. Its a cesspool. So if a hostile neighbor decided to invade and take it over, killing men, women, and children, then Haiti deserves it because they had corruption in their government.
