First. We’ll see what Trump does. He does like to pardon. Not as much as Biden. Yet.

The fact Trump can’t pardon a state crime does not mean he won’t try.

If asked about it, Trump should just say he can’t pardon a state crime. Of course, he won’t just say that.

She sorta danced around that…said that tribal members of this tribe who live in NH can ad do vote…but U. S. PROBABLY would not allow thise like her living in Canada to vote in U.S. elections.
I will mention this to Nick Shirley….

The tribe (Mi’kmaq) also derives considerable income from rental income from businesses who build retail and northern commercial entrrprises here on their formerly caled reservation land. Canada did away with reservations like it used to be back prior to the 1960s. Last reservation was done away with in 1989 (?) in far western Canada.
Tribal members who live here pay no taxes, pay no rent, do pay for all utilites at their home
The tribal council provides for housing, education, health care, elderly and youth expenses.

During the interview, Reddington also spoke about his client, calling Clancy “intelligent,” “hardworking” and an “incredible person.”
“I do feel a very strong bond with Lindsay because of the type of person she is,” he said, noting that he has previously said Clancy is like a daughter to him.”
Such a wonderful person.

A 911 remembrance memorial going on at the Ellipse in DC today. The speeches are poignant, reminding one of the tragedy that occurred that day. I think it will possibly be more fitting than the one Mamdani attends on Friday – a ceremony which I think the current mayor should respectfully recuse himself from at the request from some of the 911 families.

If we weren’t a woke banana republic this woman would be taken out and hung in a public square after being given a fair trial.
Since this is woke MA they probably won’t retry the case and will give her a free pass.
Might as well declare open season on little kids from murderous parents.
“As a Massachusetts jury deliberated in the Lindsay Clancy trial, prosecutors in Illinois say a mother described by witnesses as recently being “very invested” in the case allegedly murdered her 2-year-old son and tried to take her own life, according to a petition to deny pre-trial release obtained by ABC Chicago station WLS.
According to a court document, Corie Walsh was “actively discussing” the Clancy case on text messages up to three-and-a-half hours before the child was discovered.”

I am finding it more difficult to empathetically follow Lindsey Clancy as more details emerge around the deaths of her children. While I am sympathetic about her postpartum experience , I just can’t exonerate her from the painful end she decided to impose on her children. It almost seems the 3 children, coldly killed by someone they trusted, has become secondary to the plight of their mother being judged for her actions.

“I had not realized that catholic graveyards were discriminatory.”
I don’t think it was always purely discriminatory. At least from the Catholic POV (doctrinal), the faithful must be buried on consecrated ground (or at least, it used to be that way, not sure if there have been changes since that big brouhaha back in 1965, but I think it’s current).

Since the start of 2026, the Swedish coalition government, which took power in 2022 on a pledge to cut immigration and crime, has been offering those with residency permits from outside the European Union up to 350,000 Swedish crowns ($37,000) if they leave the country.
The scheme is being closely watched abroad, and strongly supported by the Sweden Democrats, a far-right party that is outside the government but backs it in parliament.”
Damm, those rich socialist countries sure know how to live.

not sure which one she did in first, but imagine the horror of the 5 year old or 3 year old realizing what was happening and being next in line.
In at least one of the Nazi death camps, they purposely gassed the men first so the women and children waiting knew what was coming to them next.

Yep, Clancy became the victim and the children became props for her victimhood.

Although the woke MSM (except maybe some faction at Fox) is 100% behind the “insanity” BS, surprisingly most of the public has not bought into it.
I have not seen one online poll, many local newspapers have them, where a strong majority doesn’t vote for guilty.
And even the largest sample (45,000) on the Smercomish site, where at least 80% of the audience is composed of flaming liberals like him, the vote was 55% for guilty.

As a parent of a five year old who is my world, the whole trial is a topic I am trying to avoid. That said, and please correct me if I was mislead, but I did read that one of the children tried to escape, but she easily overhauled the child, and brought them back to finish the job. It’s all awful, but that’s the facet that hit me the hardest.

Kevin Reddington, who became a darling of the pink-shirted brigade of women that showed up outside the Plymouth, MA, courthouse every day to cheer and weep for Clancy, was interviewed on Tuesday’s episode of “Good Morning America,” telling host George Stephanopoulos that his client is a “wonderful, wonderful person.”
“Just a wonderful neighbor, friend, wife, mother,” Reddington continued. “I do feel a very strong bond with Lindsay.”

I thought the Clancy trial ended in a mistrial by her peers. It will probably be relitigated in another trial. Apparently, there are some here that have started to relitigate the trial ahead of the prosecution’s decision to press forward.
Yes, what Lindsay Clancy did was horrific, vicious and savage. It was the clearest case of insanity I’ve seen in American jurisprudence for a while.
And, no, I don’t care what her attorney says.
I, for one, believe the majority of the jury, according to her attorney, got it right.
Prediction. Jason will cut and paste my comment and add his two cents to it.

Note what missing from Reddington’s description of Clancy as a great mother, a great wife, a great friend, a great worker, etc.
Yeah “crazy”.
She was not crazy when she was a great mother, wife, friend, worker.
She was only crazy when she planned and executed the murder of her kids.
She is fine again now, thank you.

“I, for one, believe the majority of the jury”
Zzzzzz…
The jury does not diagnose insanity. Only professionals can do that, like the professionals who treated her and stated she was not insane or psychotic. A verdict not guilty by reason of insanity means that the jury unanimously decided that the prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. That didn’t happen in this case, we don’t know what the vote was, Reddington himself says as much, that his 11-1 number was mere speculation. So whether it was 11-1 or 6-6, it makes not difference, there was no unanimous verdict.
The jury was probably influenced by the theatrics that went on, where as Bitter points out, hopefully will not be allowed in a retrial. It was also not sequestered, so the jury was bombarded by the pro-Clancy media and demonstrators. It was also 75% women, probably more prone to sympathize with Clancy and the blame on society narrative.
It was the clearest case of insanity “
As lawyers like to say, “assumes facts not in evidence”.
