Woman Denied Bond After Allegedly Ordering a Lyft, Then Stabbing Her Driver 11 Times Before Stealing His Car”
Naziyha Lanay Weatherall, 22, is charged with attempted murder, carjacking resulting in bodily injury, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
A man was driving for Lyft in Greenville County on April 22, when he got a ride request at an apartment complex.
Authorities said Weatherall approached the man’s vehicle, stabbed him in the head, and then stole the vehicle.
“The victim was simply just trying to do his job and was stabbed 11 times,”
But of course she is not responsible for her actions.
Here we go:
Weatherall’s defense attorney claimed she was experiencing a “mental health crisis” at the time of the alleged incident, per Fox Carolina.
He further claimed that she had been previously diagnosed with schizophrenia and was experiencing delusions that made her believe she was in extreme danger, per the outlet.
He claimed that Weatherall had ordered the Lyft that day to travel to a police station and seek protection from the perceived threats against her.”
I guess she just wanted to drive herself to the police station (no, she didn’t drive there).

I can attest to the fact that here in Texas Paxton has no money and no campaign at present. Baris has said for the last four months that Cornyn was a loser in the GE because the base wouldn’t turn out for Cornyn, but would for Paxton. I disagree and think Baris got it exactly backwards. Paxton lacks appeal to indies because of baggage.. He has baggage that Cornyn does not. Cornyn may not have fired up the base but would have more than made up for it with $$ and a much better appeal to indies. This campaign should have been a Republican slam dunk vs a woke radical.

Phil, living in Texas you certainly have a front row seat to the politics there. However, I continue to feel the senate race will be determined the final 2 months more than to the current lead-up to it. Talarico has been online lately pleading for more donations, even though he appears flush with them at the moment. Trump plans to ramp up donations from his PAC, as does Musk, which may be why Talarico is eying a barrage of opposition research on him being funded and transmitted to voters by these late entry money sources. In the meantime, I think Cornyn and Thune are losing Republican respect for their sour grapes behavior towards the candidate voters chose to be in the GE.

I made no promises Bitter. I gave support to Paxton because he supported worthwhile policies his opponent stayed away from because of being too risky to get behind. Saying a Plaintiff has standing is not a decision on the merits. The experts at HHR would freak to learn that you can lose a Motion on the Pleadings or a Motion for Summary Judgment or a Motion to Dismiss but still win on the merits.

However, most of the court cases involving the 60 plus 2020 law suits were squashed by the courts because of “lack of standing.” Consequently, none of the evidence was ever heard by the courts, even though it was interpreted and reported by the press that Trump lost all those court cases. So, standing appears to have the ability to successfully eliminate both frivolous and legitimate law suits.

in WW Ii the government did huge number of IQ tests and found that the avg IQ of lawyers and teachers were both about the same, and that people in thise two occupation groups were among the top 4 or 5 groups in IQ in the nation.

60 years ago, most of the teachers graduating from college were in the top 1/3 of the high school graduating class and top 1/3 of college graduating class.
4 of top 10 in my HS graduating class went on to get teaching degrees.
3 of the top 20 in my wife’s HS graduating class went on to get teaching degrees.

Most teachers graduating from colleges in the last 10 years were in the BOTTOM 1/3 of their HS class academically.

I had 5 first cousins on fathers side of family. All in top 10% of their graduating classes in Arlington,VA and in WV from 1956 – 1965.
I (hs class 1964) went on to get a teaching degree, but my sister (hs class of 1957) and brother (1961) went on to graduate from college but did not get teaching degrees.
3 of those 5 first cousins went on to get teaching degrees. One other married a teacher/principal. The other became a truck driver and orchardist.
The 3 who did get teaching degrees were all from Arlington,VA. Their mom (my aunt) was a teacher and their dad was a lawyer.
Another 2nd cousin of mine got his teaching degree and eventually became a principal.
