The problem we have in politics is the word is far more complex, as are issues. Same with U.S. issues. Way more complex. Same with problems on the State level.
Many voters just walk away from voting on these complex issues. People think loke a mud puddle. Shallow and muddy. Their beliefs and values are shallow, weakly held, and very maleable due to “the circumstances,” If they have to study the issues and all aspects it hurts their heads. So many just tune out politics all together.
So if you are a member of a fringe whackjob group, find elections where ther are a while bunch of “normal” (I know there are really no normal) democrats to split the “normal” vote and get your 15% to all get out to. Ite for crazy and crazy wins the primary.

If your tags are expired, or have no insurance or no drivers license or if it is revoked or suspended, you will get fined.

If police say they are detaining you, let them put cuffs on you. If you resist, fight, run, spit, etc. You will go to jail. You now catch felony charges…not just a fine, but jail time.
if you have no insurance or tags expired, you will be told by police to exit the car. If you cause problems, they will detain you and cuff you. If they cuff you, they will have to out you in the back of their cruiser. They must at this time search you. No, they do not need a warrant to do that. If they find drugs or illegal guns or whatever on you you will be charged for that.
They will not allow you friend or your grandma or any stranger to drive your unlicensed and uninsured vehicle home for you. They WILL, by law, call for the vehicle to be towed. YOU have to pay for the tow charge.
BY LAW, the police MUST now inventory all contents within your vehicle. YES, they can do that without a warrant. They do this to protect YOU from YOUR belongings being stolen by some unscrupulous person who might be involved with the tow company. If during the inventory they find stolen property, illegal guns, drugs, dead bodies rhino horns, etc. you will catch those charges.
When the police place you in detention, NO they do not have to read you your rights at that time nor allow you one phone call.
If you fight and resist law enforcement you will get force put on you, you may get your ass tasked (hopefilly) or possibly shot (unfortunately result in your stupidity),

I got paid the most of all band members since I was one of 2 who drove, and it was my electric guitar our lead guitarist played which was hooked up to my big a$$ed amplifier. My keyboard and the lead guitar and most microphones were hooked into the big amp. Base player had his own amp. Sax player needed no amp. Plus I owned the microphones and Mike stands the lead singer and other vocalists used.

I feel bad for Lindell but he has only himself to blame. He was a rags to riches story, a drug addict without a dollar to his name that built the pillow company to where it was selling over $100 million a year and Lindell was worth over $300 million, maybe even $500 million. Then he squandered it all away in conspiracy theories and now has lost everything and is millions in debt. He made a lot of lawyer rich(er) in the process.

I have 4 CDs maturing this week and got notices for each in the mail recently. These CDs earn about 4 or 5% interest.
It USED to be that when your CDS matured, they would automatically roll over at whatever the going rate that was being offered at that time. THAT might be a higher or lower rateof interest.
NOW, when it matures, it automatically rolls over at 1% interest. ONE PERCENT.
Unless you go in and inquire about what rates are being offered and then pick the one with best interest rate. Might be a 7 month CD, or 12 month, or 18 month or whatever. It USED to be the shorter term paid the least interest and the 24 month or whatever rate was highest.
But it is reversed today. The 7 month CD has the highest rate of interest at 3.5%.. lower % if any longer term of maturity.

Now i know that alcohol was involved that evening 50 some years ago. But as far as I can recollect I have only asked two women to marry me. My college flame and my current wife.
I AM sure this incident involved my (now) wife Mary. But a slight doubt has begun creeping in that maybe that might have been an episode with my old college flame. But old flame and I had never hung around much with my frat brothers and spiuses and girl friends…we were with a different crowd.
I am 100% sure I never talked engagement or marriage with anyone other than those 2 gals.
Has my wife forgotten this poignant moment?
OR is she right about embellishment and I have fabricated all the events of thst night?
Was it a vivid dream I had thst somehow had cemented itself as a true event?
Is there a 3rd woman who I at some time asked to marry me and now I have blocked all memory of her existence including her name? (not bloody likely)

ADDENDUM
I even remember how it was not a real marriage proposal as I had no engagement ring to physically offer her then, etc. In a way it was an unplanned “test” vote like the Senate often does these days to see it there is good possibility that there are enough votes to pass some bill later.
I remember Faye was fairly well inebriated and premature in announcing our “official engagement”, how the sudden attention focused on her by everyone seemed (to me) to cause Mary some discomfort and I rose to ease her discomfort and explain things, and that we were not “officially” getting engaged that partular night and how everyone was still very happy we were heading in the marriage direction.
My wife can remember none of that happening. Yet I remember all kinds of details and exactly where certain people were sitting and standing.

I was surprised Hong didn’t get more votes from the late night Milwaukee dump. Crowley had left the race for a few weeks so I thought the mail in vote would favor her.
But in the end, it favored some of the other candidates in the race rather than Hong.
Crowley and Hong combined didn’t even get 80% of the vote.
