What the Indiana state senators didn’t seem to realize (or maybe they did and just didn’t give a shit) is that we are in a war to save our constitutional Republic. Democrats badly want all three branches of government so they can pack the Supreme Court, kill the filibuster, add four more permanent Democratic senators, and open the borders. Once that is done it’s game over. USA becomes California and you have one party rule as far as the eye can see. When one side goes all in redistricting (California, Virginia anyone?) you damned sure better not play nice. It’s what the other side is counting on and Pence and his elk in Indiana just don’t get the stakes….or as I said before, just don’t care.

RFK, Jr. and I both only have law degrees. Here are my conclusions.
Autism – Older men impregnating older women with older eggs as first time parents get older. Also, the definition of the spectrum caused more things to be diagnosed.
Obesity – Not vaccine related. Eating to much causes it. Europeans don’t have as many demographic groups inclined to obesity. Are there any fat Danes or Finns?
Mental illness – Not caused by vaccines. More likely due to more people willing to seek help. I was probably always depressed but not diagnosed.

WV election news.
Primaries are over and several R members of WV House have lost their primaries–including House finance chair–due to disagreements with R governor Morissey who spend large amounts of money I’m the prary to get then defeated. Other Rs targeted by Gov Morissey survived his primary money onslaught.
On the Senate side, there was one that moved this way and one who moved that way, so no change there in Rs that were on Morissey ‘s “team.”
The Ds only have one of the 34 Senate seats, so that is not in Jeopardy of flipping.
in the House the Ds only have 9 of 100 seats. NO flipping danger there either.
Senate was God awful thispast session. House was better, but hampered by tribalism within the huge R majority. There are 6 Liberty Caucus legislators who are are worth next to nothing and vote against st everything because …LIBERTY! The nutjob R representing district where I live is the leader of the Liberty nutjobs in the House.
LAST session Gov and Legislature fought a lot, accomplishing little.

FOR THE NOV. ELECTION, the big issues will be
1) Morissey, who is not popular and has had fights with the legislature last session. But gov. race is not on the ballot this year. The WV Ds will still no doubt excoroliate Morissey in their ads, like the national Ds will beat on Trump, even though he us not on the ballot.
2) data centers– where a bill passed overwhelmingly last session allowing them to be built and little local control, and sweeping most of the revenue away from cointy to the state. Public is pretty much up in arms and opposed to data centers in WVanywhere. But R legislators and R Morissey created and passed the data center bill.
3) New High voltage power transmission lines being proposed. Three of them running through @ 1/2 of the 55 counties .
Lots of opposition to building them. This is energizing Dems in WV as they see an opportunity….
4) Public education continues to flounder. Soaring Special Ed costs is a big financial drain on all theb55 County school sustems. Declining enrollment statewide. Test scores still low. HOPE scharships has allowed over 25,000 students (and ever growing) to get $4,500 a year and leave the public schools and go to charter schools or homeschooling. Plus closing of schools or consolidating due to decline in public K-12 classrooms is another issue.
5) Southern WV (where the big Coal fields were) remains economically depressed. A ni.ber of Ds switched parties to become Rs and the Ds with now an R in front of their name have won various state elections for WV auditor and some seats in WV legiaiture. But they are R lite.

HOW WILL ALL THIS IMPACT NOV. ELECTION?
I predict the Dems might pick up 3 to 6 seats in the House and 0 in the Senate. Not real clear about the quality of their candidates throughout the state. They could pick up 10 or 12 in a perfect storm and double their numbers and still remain inconsequential.
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito is on the ballot for probably her last time (due to her age), and last 6 year term.. Lots say she is not conservative enough. So the next R candidate for the U.S. Senate will probably be some far right lunatic.
The D candidates elected in the May primary for U.S. Senate and House are pretty much goofballs, so all Rs should be reelected handily.

I do not know WHY there is a huge spike in autism among young people. I do know we have a gazillion .ore autism kids in school now as compared to 30-40 years ago.
SAME with number of students who have big mental problems in schools now as co.pared to a few decades ago.
FOR Autusm, something genetic, or something environmental ?
MY best guess is environmentally caused.
That could be 10,000 things…possibilities…
But I do not think it had anything to do with open or closed border, racism, sex ism, global wat.ing or Trump being president

I think the increase in autism does have an environmental component (which includes vaccines, not necessarily something specific in them, just that they somehow interfere with normal development because of the changes they bring to the child’s system).
Therere is also the age factor of the parents and the damage the parents themselves might have suffered from environmental causes.
And finally, the better detection and testing and spectrum identification also increases the number of cases.

The fed govt requires states to provide educational services for special Ed students. The total reimbursement from the feds to cover the cost of what they require is about 30% of the total actual cost. The other @ 70% of costs are born by the state and county.
One blind student I had in my class ..parents did not want to send her to live 90 miles away at the WV school for the deaf and blind where the state provided special services for them. So she attended where I taught. She was a junior. Very nice and intelligent Black gal–an A student. This was about 1979 or 1980. They had special Ed teachers who provided her assistance she needed in each of her 6 classes.
Among other cost required of Berkeley county schools was a $75,000 book reading machine.
Another kid confined to a wheelchair all his life wanted to be in drama class as an elective class he chose. There were steps leading up to the stage in the auditorium and to get him on stage a $75,000 small elevator had to be purchased and installed . The school was built in 1975, but there was no ramp to access the stage then. There is a ramp now thru a back way that goes up to rooms behind the stage
I guess he could have signed up for dance class too, and we would have had to accommodate him somehow there as well.
Practically every year at our high school , we had several SEVERELY physically AND mentally handicapped students in wheelchairs all their life. And they could never advance beyond a 4 or 5 year old mentality. Pretty much nonverbal unless they were screaming at 150 decibel. They had to have provided for them a bus aide to get them on and off the bus, plus their own full time individual classroom aide, plus a separate full time to take them to the bathroom during the day. The classroom was taught by a special Ed teacher. The teacher had three of these student all day.
The teacher talked to them a lot and joked with them a lot. They had rest time. The kids liked him. He showed a lot of movies and played music for them during class He also spent hours bouncing a big inflated beach ball on the floor gently to the kids and their job was to try to catch it, which they were able to do maybe 1 out 5 or so times and then die try to bounce it on the ground to the teacher. The teacher did not actually teach them any Eng, social studies,Mary, science. The kids would work matching shapes, or colors.
God bless these kids and their parents. They are people. But I have never been convinced that the huge annual amount of education dollars was warranted.
And the teacher was getting paid about the same salary as me teaching 130 or more in AP classes, honors classes, and regular classes. And he had 3 classroom aides all day and I had none in 33 years. And he did not have to average 130+ student grades every 6 weeks, grade any homework, construct/type/run off tests, read and grade tests and essays, and grade notebooks, and type up and run off worksheets, lead classroom discussions, deal with makeup work for absent students, writing daily lesson plans, breaking up fights, etc. etc., and his parent/teacher night was less hectic than mine…

Walt – I understand what you are saying but I think it is crucial to provide education to all students. Obviously, it was not done properly or well in your experience.
My sister was born in 1958 and suffered a brain injury at birth. There was no effort to create a program for her and children like her until my mom pushed for it. My sister can read and write and used to volunteer with old people. She can even play the piano by ear but can’t read music and never had a lesson.

You didn’t read what I wrote.
I don’t think the vaccines in themselves cause autism, but it is possible that the combination of a lot more vaccines given in a short period interfere somehow with normal system development.
So testing individual vaccines and determining that they don’t cause autism would not automatically eliminate that possibility.
Something is causing the spike in autism. There are many things (environmentally) that are different from when autism rates are lower, and vaccine protocol is just one of them.

The self contained class of severely handicapped was in one of the 4 high schools in my county. Thr other 3 high schools has a class pretty ust like the one at my school. 4 high schools with about 1,000 to 1,300 students each. Total of 12 to 14 kids who were severely handicapped in the 4 high schools Total student population is 20,000.
Today’s total budget (all sources) for Berkeley county schools $320 million dollars. In addition to the 60 severely physically and mentally handicapped spec. Ed students, there are about
The county education system would spend about $1 million a YEAR TOTAL for the 14 severely handicapped in the 4 high schools. There will be another 60 severely handicapped kids in grades K thru 8.
There will be another 5,000 of the 20,000 kids who meet the criteria for being classified as special Ed.

I think “profound” might be the right term for the lowest. I mistakenly last night typed “Severe” and indicated that was the lowest category. I think the lowest level of ability is actually “profound.”
There are other categories between “profound” and “mild” besides severe.
I had one spec. Ed kid in my class in a wheelchair, severely physically handicapped, but smart as a whip. He was also of the HS academic team. He graduated from college and is a teacher today.

Last night, I was facing the row of bedroom windows and was awakened by a huge flash of light that lur the whole sky.
In a few seconds, I heard the VEEY Loud clap of thunder that was not just one loud boom, but the boom continued to rumble for ABOUT A MUNUTE ad the sound continued to fade away slowly until it could no longer be heard.
This happened 3 more times in a 15 minute span. One of the booms lasted about a minute and a half!!!
I was beginning to wonder if these were air bursts of nuclear weapons, but I glanced at my electric clock/radio and we still had electric power.
I am very close to 79 years old and I have NEVER experienced that before. Last night this happened FOUR times within 15 minutes.
It was eerie.
