“Terrifying doorbell camera video showed how a wide-eyed masked teenager dressed like a clown appeared to go door-to-door before being arrested in connection with an elderly neighbor’s murder.
The Illinois State Police said officers had responded to an intersection in East St Louis on Monday shortly after 10pm after reports of a body in the road.
A 15-year-old, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken into custody on Tuesday as part of a homicide investigation. He was later charge with first degree murder.
The victim was identified as John Wesley Allen Sr, 78, by the St Clair County Coroner, according to FirstAlert4.
Illinois State Police said Allen Sr was waiting at a bus stop when he was randomly attacked by the 15-year-old dressed in a clown outfit.”

I got into an argument with AI yesterday. I told it it had to stop calling ANY Dem outside of Fetterman a “moderate”. It asked for an example and I said Doug Jones in Alabama. It gave several instances where Jones as a Senator did not vote with the party but then was forced to admit Jones voted for all major Dem initiatives. It also admitted “moderate” was in the eye of the beholder. I was surprised it actually engages in a fair discussion and is willing to back down given when given arguments.

See, its never too late to buy and learn how to use a gun.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (WFLA) – A 91-year-old Florida man charged with murdering his disabled wife last week told investigators that he viewed the act as “keeping his promise” to never put her in a nursing home.
On Aug. 1, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a home in St. Augustine, Florida, after a man reported that his father fatally shot his mother.
According to an SJCSO arrest report, William Lippold, 91, called his 63-year-old son to his home earlier that morning, saying, “I did something bad, I need you to come over.”
The son told deputies that Lippold revealed that he had killed his wife and then tried to take his own life by suffocating himself with a plastic bag, but it didn’t work.
Lippold was the sole caretaker for his wife, who was blind and had severe Alzheimer’s. According to the arrest report, his son said that Lippold “has alluded to this outcome in the past.”
“William said he had previously promised his wife he would never put her in a nursing home, so he views this as keeping his promise to her,” the report said.
Lippold said he recently purchased the gun and learned to use it at a gun range. A neighbor reported hearing a suspected gunshot at around 11 p.m. the night before Lippold’s arrest.
“As deputies were securing the scene, William spontaneously made the statement, ‘It’s not complicated, I shot my wife,’” the arrest report said.
Lippold’s wife was found dead on a bed in the primary bedroom, with “apparent blood around her body, a firearm, a shell casing, and a note.”
Lippold was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm.”

Great article on the bad polling miss in the Michigan senate race:
Key points:
Contested primaries are notoriously difficult to poll for a variety of reasons.
Nobody can poll non college educated whites
Polymarket is not predictive, its just people following the polls, and when the polls are off, they panic buy and sell.
While general election polls are a bit easier than contested primary polls, keep a degree of skepticism.
I would add to this that we are in a bit of uncharted territory here. I would not want to just default use past patterns to predict anything. Not with the Democratic Party opening embracing anti-semitism and communism.

As for me being absent this morning, college day friends who live in Berryville, VA a half an distant from where we live in WV had earlier asked my wife if we could come down there this morning and be there by 8:45 a.m. to be there with her husband Gary.
Gary is a big guy (maybe 230 pounds)–was a hs and college multiple sports team player and hs coach for decades.
Gary has advanced Parkinson Disease and has much trouble with mobility and speech.
His wife had to go to a doctor appointment in Landsdowne VA to have a cyst removed from her back and would be gone all morning. We offered to go stay with Gary and take care of things in her absence. We also treated Gary by taking him out for breakfast.
Lots of effort to get Gary in and out of the house, in and out of car, in and out of bathroom, cutting up his food, etc. He is a lot of dead weight from waist down. And his body just does not work the way his mind would like it to do.
Gary can still talk and converse, but either his mind wanders all over the place in the same sentence and the sentence wanders disjointedy over a wide range of disconnected statements and fragments, or else the words he MEANS to come out if his mouth go somewhere else and instead other disconnected sentence fragments roll out.
They are nearly ready to have constriction begin for converting a downstairs office to a bedroom, installing several new doors in now open spaces, and major renovations and enlargent of the small downstairs bathroom.
My wife told Gary he would be sleeping upstairs until the construction was done. Gary responded by saying. “Yes, but it would only be for one day. ”
(actually more like one month)

Northern VA is in desperate need of more electric power.
VA is today, of couse, a green state opposed to fossile fuels. VA has 3 big coal fired power plants that have been reduced in recent years to 20% capacity.
●●●
There are currently THREE high voltage transmission lines in the planning stages to bring more electric to NOVA. One comes from Ohio and runs through a lot of WV to go into NOVA.
TWO other planned high voltage transmission lines will start at WV power plants (powered by COAL or NatGas) just easy of Morgantown and another from the John Amos Plant in WV not far from the Ohio River thst will run through 15 WV counties on the way to NOVA.
All THREE of these new lines will come through my area and 2 will come through my COUNTY.
Opposition by residents in WV to these lines being built is huge.
All 15 County commissions in the 15 WV counties it will lass through have gone on record opposing the construction of the one proposed power line– coming from the John Amos plant (Putnam Co) in next WV county west of Huntington WV on the Ohio River.
THIS power line will traverse about 300 miles of WV and another 80 miles of VA to get to NOVA.
All the power generate at the John Amos plant and going through these new proposed lines will used and consumed IN NOVA.
#####
It would seem to make more sense for VA to run new transmission lines from their VA coal fired power plants that are only operating at 20% capacity and increase their power output in stead of building 500 mile new transmission line starting in Ohio and 380 mile line starting in very western WV, and 280 mile line starting in WV not far from Morgantown in N Cemtral WV.

At the Berkeley County Youth Fair [begun in 1905 and perhaps the oldest Youth fair in the nation) they had a new entertainment attraction. It was an outfit out of NC near Charlotte where car racing is big.
They had a 25 foot oval track set up and they had different heats of races. First 2 heads were little pigs who came out of thr trailer into thr starting gates. The all had names like “Dale Swinehart” and other real car racing Champs. They played the race starting music, gates flew open and around the track they raced while thr track announcer gave a turn by turn running narrative like happens at a horse racing venue.
The second heat was with somewhat bigger little pigs, the third race was with 5 small goats and the final race was with 5 full sized ducks.
Very entertaining. (WVians are easily entertained)
There was also a booth manned by the Constitution Party of WV with signs opposing data centers and signs to throw out Gov. Morrissey.

A. congealed and coalescence of opposition of Trump
B. 50 years of our society demonizing business and big business. C. Apathy of a big slice of people who COULD VOTE, who choose to NOT vote on primary elections
D. Failure of schools to teach realities of representative democracy, and communism, and socialism
E. The average young voter (18 to 40) having an intellect and critical thinking skills that are actult about as deep as a mud puddle and just about as clear as a muddy mud puddle.
F. I don’t think you realize the burden of caring for someone with Alzheimers is, let alone in the advanced stage.
On the other hand, the son deserve to go to hell for knowing his father was in that situation and leaving him as the only caretaker. He also knew of his father’s intention so its not like the outcome was a surprise

People complain about “affordabilty” issues and financial difficulty People have to make ends meet.
Here are some ideas:
1. refrain from taking to the streets to support or in opposition of this and that. It invariably turns violent, causes police cars and other public and private property to be set afire or otherwise damaged and destroyed, and increases overtime costs for police, incre a ses medical costs for injuries sustained. The cost associated will have to paid for by EVERYBODY.
2. Number 1 above also increases insurance costs as insurance companies have to pay out money to cover the losses. So insurance companies will raise EVERBODY’S insurance premium costs to cover these man made and sensless insurance losses.
3. Number 1 will also lead to an increase in taxes on EVERYBODY to pay for and cover replacement cost, cleanup costs, etc. And #1 above also clogs the court system and increases costs–extra and unanticipated costs that have to be paid with by new tax dollars they will have to take from EVERYBODY.
4. Stop paying $10 for a cup of coffee. Go instead to ant convenience store and get your daily coffee for $1 or $2.
5. Stop paying eleventy hundred of dollars for tattoos. Stop paying your good money to make your hair all the colors of the rainbow. None of this makes you more attractive. Save money and face reality that you cannot make yourself more physically attractive in thise ways.
6. Embrace those elected officials who favor reducing and controlling inflation. Inflation erodes the value of your and EVERYBODY’S money.

8. Turn off the TV, put the bag if Fritos away and get your fat butt out of your comfy chain. Go do things that will get your body in better shape. Your mind will then also start being in better shape now that you have stopped you steady diet of “Oprah!”, “The View”, CNN, and TV SHOWS that push acceptance and normalizing LBGTQ, socialism, and other values that really don’t help anyone. Plus as your body and mind improve, you will feel better and also be more marketable in the job market or a better and more productive employee who will now earn a higher pay.
9. Stop using illegal drugs. You waste your money ruin your body and your mind, are less productive as an employee and more likely to get fired and therefore have less income.
10. Support candidates who FAVOR secure borders and oppose 14 million illegals surging into U.S. The Dems who allowed this to happen have caused you a lot financially, as YOUR wages fall or are low (due to a huge srplus of workers) housing becomes more scarce and expensive, crime increases, YOUR taxes go up to pay for government to provide 14 million illegals’ housing, health care, food, education
11. DO NOT VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS because they FAVOR policies that lead to things that hurt EVERYBODY like

The employer has to raise the cost of his product to EVERYONE to cover the criminal theft costs so they can still make a profit.
The retail store has to increase to EVERYONE the cost of their food or clothes or whatever they sell TO EVERYONE to cover the cost of criminal theft.
When theft gets too great, the store will close down in the crime ridden area where they cannot make a profit, and will move someplace where they can.
THEN, the people–EVERYBODY–in the area of the now closed store will have additional costs of time and extra finamcial cost and expense to travel farther to buy the goods they seek.
