Cooper up only 4 in NC Senate race

This according to PPP-D.

Cooper 48

Whatley 44

The Democrat polling firm also suggests Whatley has a path to victory: “PPP’s newest North Carolina poll finds that Roy Cooper continues to lead Michael Whatley, 48-44, but that Whatley does have a path to victory.

Cooper’s lead is driven in part by a significant name recognition advantage. 92% of voters are familiar with him, compared to 69% who are familiar with Whatley.

Because of that dynamic Democrats are almost completely lined up behind Cooper, while a lot of Republican voters remain undecided.

That gives Whatley much more room for growth. Voters who remain on the fence supported Donald Trump by a 72 point margin in 2024. If they all voted for the same party for Senate in 2026 that they did for President in 2024, Whatley would win 51-49”

  5. Strait of America. I wish. Trump’s problem is that he called off the dogs two months ago and let Iran off the hook all in the naive notion that Iran was serious about a deal. He got played. Unfortunately, Tina, the strait isn’t open just because we say it is. Doesn’t work that way. All Iran has had to do is lob a few missiles or drones at a handful of commercial ships and the shipping shuts itself down. That’s what has happened and that is what is happening now. Nothing has changed……and for the life of me I don’t know why in the world our blockade of Iranian ports is still lifted. We threw away that leverage for absolutely nothing. Nope, the time to make hay was at the beginning and we called it off.

At least from the reports, we have now started to go after the leadership again. It took countless broken promises and being lied to for Trump to get it through his head that the new leaders weren’t any different than the leaders we took out at the beginning of the war. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss as the song goes.

He is trying to get the best deal possible. Maybe it won’t work out.

Of course, it will also lead Rs to spend more money there too.

    France vs. Spain tomorrow.

Trump wants to cut economic ties with Spain, so we don’t want them to win.

    Allez les bleus!

    England vs. Argentina

FIFA did everything the could to topple the Brits. Made them play at 7500 ft with 3 days adaptation. An Iranian referee for a playoff game with a host country. A very iffy penalty call against England. A very iffy call on a disallowed goal. And finally, made England play with 10 players for most of the second half with 80,000 hostile crowd and the altitude.

So I am going to root for England. Sorry, hermanos.
