Interesting poll out of Michigan done by Data for Progress, a Democrat polling firm, and it was done for the El-Sayed campaign, apparently to show how El-Sayed is the stronger candidate against Rogers (R). I guess that might be true, but the larger message is that the best a Democrat Polling firm could is show a one point lead to El Sayed. Clearly Michigan is the best GOP chance for a flip, with NH being the next best chance.
MICHIGAN POLL – Senate for Working Families Party (pro-El Sayed)
🟦 Abdul El-Sayed: 47%

🟥 Mike Rogers: 46%
🟦 Haley Stevens: 45%

El-Sayed: 34-39 (-5)
Rogers: 36-44 (-8)
Stevens: 28-40 (-12)

Norway vs. England about to start.
England is the better team but I have a bet on Norway to stun the world and win the WC.

England is the better team, I said goodbye to my potential $1700 winnings.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th seeded teams made it to the semifinals.
Argentina and Switzerland playing for the last spot.

Makes sense. Around here you meet a lot of people with the same last name as the town names. I met someone with the last name Strine who was from Strinestown.

Mac Allister, probably the shortest guy on the Argentine team, scores a header, the Swiss defense fell asleep.

Argentines playing with black armbands in honor of Jayden Adams, who played all three games for South Africa in the WC and died yesterday.
So far I see food poisoning and suicide as the causes, or maybe it is both.

France and Argentina are favored to play for the cup.
But any of the final 4 could win this.

He was scheduled to be on TV today so it must have been something very sudden.

Switzerland upset their player got a red card for simulating a foul, normally a yellow card offense.
But the ref’s hands were tied, he had given the Argentine player a yellow card. When the replay showed the Argentine never touched the Swiss player, the rule is the card then has to be given to the faker, it can’t be “revoked”. Since he already had a yellow card from an earlier play, and two yellows equals a red, he had to be sent off.
Moral of story: as an attacker, don’t commit stupid fouls and get a yellow card, and after that, don’t fake fouls to get the opposing player in trouble.
