Apparently WordPress has a built in AI tool to detect spam, and it automatically puts what it thinks is spam into the spam folder. Apparently AI is upset with Walt because it keeps putting his comments into spam. I am going to see if I can find a way to fix it.
Cleared browser, erased history (which for a guy as old as me takes a while) rebooted the machine (actually I hit the laptop repeatedly with a shoe instead if a boot).

Because if Cornyn suddenly looks vulnerable in Texas, then Thune’s entire power structure is also vulnerable.
He doesn’t believe the filibuster should be ended and the Democrats given a blank check to implement a one party state. I fully agree with him that ending the filibuster is political suicide.
Trump is making a mistake if he thinks he can bully Thune.
What will piss me off will be the lack of funds from the R Senatorial Election Campaign that Paxton will NOT get in the Fall Campaign. It’s a given that will be the case. Thune and company would rather the leftist weirdo get the Texas seat. Pretty sad but more evidence of the party hierarchy not giving a damn. Been watching lots of Facebook videos of court cases involving sovereign citizens whack jobs. Incredible that they claim they do not live under federal and state law, do not have to have drivers licence, insurance, etc., claim the state court system has no. jurisdiction. Yesterday i hoimed my wife and some of my wife’s Sister ACTS group to go volunteer at the regional VA hospital/ center to assist getting wheelchair bound veterans out of their rooms and I to viewing areas close to the front of the hospital so they could see the motorcycle riders (used to be called Rolling Thunder) drive by the front of the hospital. Then the riders cane into the VA hospital to talk with the veterans. Great event.
Most of the 50 riders were veterans themselves. Oldest rider was over 90 years old, youngest driver just turned 18. There also was a 15 year old girl who was riding with her grandfather behind him on his bike.
They stated out in CA and after Gere were going to Shanksville PA and to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in D.C.
We sang country roads while waiting for the bikers to arrive. I got teared up with so many thoughts in my mi d of these wheelchair bound guys, their service to the country, the so g, the little flaga each vet was provided to hold.

David Trone (who I detest) is running ads slamming fellow D candidates in his race and accusing them of not being leftwing enough. But gov. Wes Moore, Raskin and Stenny Hoyer have ads up and are all supporting some black woman candidate in that race. Can’t remember her name but she speaks with a foreign accent.
One of the other D candidates is running anti Trone ads saying he had contributed many tens of thousands of dollars to right wing members if congress!!!!
MD 6 last 2 cycles have been very close losses for the R candidates.
I am watching this race….

I watched a show on the Battle of the Bulge yesterday. Something like 19,000 Americans died in just that one battle.
Somehow there is a perception that life was cheap only in antiquity or maybe even during Napoleonic or Civil War times but the truth is even “advanced” societies like the US and Germany as late as WWII, 80 years ago, found it acceptable to lose tens of thousands of troops over a single objective.
Much is made of the 13 American dead in this conflict, but in Vietnam we were still “comfortable” with 300 dead a week.
If the Iranians managed to sink a US warship it would be like the end of the world. In WWII, Britain lost an astonishing 313 major warships including 5 carriers, 3 battleships, 28 cruisers, 132 destroyers and 77 subs.
Germany lost over 750 submarines during the war. German soldiers dead? 5.4 million.
