So, Donnie, what’s left to talk about?
Clearly, Iranians have concluded Trump’s threats are nothing but bluster. And why wouldn’t they? One line crossed after another. They know they have us right where they want us.
If Trump escalates so will the oil prices. Iranian leaders know that and so does Trump.
The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed guaranteeing high oil prices. Don’t kid yourselves. If we had the military means to open the strait it would already have happened. We obviously don’t.
Economic pressure? Only works if the leadership of Iran was concerned about economic pain on their population. They clearly don’t give a rip.
What a mess.

Every two years when elections come around again, we get introduced to a flurry of new pollsters we never heard of before, and then after the elections, they are gone never to be heard from again. Not sure exactly why that is. This year: StimSight Research, Tavern Research, Grayhouse, Neighborhood research, Honan Strategy Group, and on and on.

Not so sure about that.
At the moment, it is in OUR interest to keep Iran from selling oil.

Keep the blockade of Iranian ports AND open the strait. If we have the means to do it militarily, why aren’t we? There are hundreds of tankers stranded in the Persian Gulf. What’s the problem?

Phil,
All we have to destroy in Iran is the 10 million radical Muslim. so the other 70 million peaceful Muslims can then resume control.
Then there will be peace….until the next wave of radicals get control

A group of mostly Democratic strategists and power players are rebuilding a political action committee meant to fortify election-defense infrastructure ahead of 2028 by focusing on often overlooked state offices that control election administration, litigation and certification.
The group, Democracy Defenders, which previously worked to support legal efforts and help with post-election planning in partnership with the Harris presidential campaign, tells ABC News exclusively that they’re re-launching their political arm. It plans to spend upwards of $10 to 15 million by “protecting democracy and rule of law” in races for Attorneys General, Secretaries of State and state Supreme Court in presidential battleground states– places they see critical to safeguarding against escalating threats from Trump and his allies to subvert the 2028 election.
“The goal right now is to sabotage-proof the electoral system for 2028,” former Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair and Democracy Defenders operative Ben Wikler told ABC News.”

Phil,
All we have to do is to eliminate 10 million radical muzzy Iranians. The other 70 million will then control the government and there will be peace.

Paxton will win. It’s just a matter of how much. I’d be surprised if it was 12 points. I’m thinking it could be as high as 7 or 8 though.

Phil, so with you now thinking Paxton will win does that do anything to change your earlier Cornyn vote?

Ken Paxton says he is pulling negative ads against John Cornyn, and he will focus on the general election.
Harris campaign criticized for taking too much for granted: over-focus on suburbs/college-educated voters, neglecting rural areas, and relying on “not Trump” rather than affirmative messaging or clear self-definition.”

I could have told them that for less than they paid for the autopsy.

I have learned where to see all the spam or pending folders. Word press has some built in constraints and we have setup a spam filter protection against someone who posts dozens of links in one post. That is why some of Walt’s have been previously stopped. I will do a better job of managing what’s in there and release/remove as appropriate.
neglecting rural areas”
It really wasn’t neglect.
Her campaign made the assumption she could win with an overwhelming vote by suburban liberal women plus blacks, Hispanics, and LBTQ+.
In the end, she overestimated her appeal to all those groups, especially Hispanic and black men.
It was a conscious choice. “Neglect” implies that it was an oversight.
The one group that the Dems made gains with were seniors, because scare tactics like “Trump is doing away with SS and Medicare” work.
The GOP needs an effective counter to this both in 2026 and 2028 because this is a negative attack that wors.

I think it’s wise for Paxton to concentrate on the GE, instead of sparing with Cornyn through negative ads. For one thing he can save some needed resources, as I doubt he will be getting much financial help from the senate establishment.

There is still time for the baggage handler to self destruct before the primary.
One can always hope.
I think there are Cornyn voters who won’t vote for Paxton in the GE.
But I am sure Janzam is fine with that since she said the “base” wouldn’t voter for Cornyn.

Zzzzzz…
Even if that was true, the Senate is an independent branch of government, and it is not there “for Trump”.
It is there for their constituents and the USA.

“15 individuals have been indicted for over $90 million in an alleged massive healthcare fraud scheme in Minnesota, after a sweeping FBI investigation with
@TheJusticeDept and our Interagency Partners. These charges involve the two LARGEST Medicaid fraud cases ever charged in this district and first-of-their kind charges involving 7 additional Medicaid programs. As alleged, the defendants defrauded Minnesota public healthcare resources for tens of millions, targeting programs such as Housing Stabilization Services, Child Care, Medicaid programs, Individualized Home Supports (IHS), and more. In one case, defendants even developed a scheme worth over $40 million to target the Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) – an autism healthcare program – paying kickbacks to parents who fraudulently used autism centers to diagnose children with autism regardless of medical necessity, and billing for services not actually provided. This not only defrauded taxpayers, but robbed valuable resources from families truly in need.”
