Miles Taylor: What Trump just did is 10 times as bad as Obama giving pallets of cash to Iran!

@ScottJenningsKY: Do you think the Ayatollah prefers his life under Obama, or under Trump?

Miles Taylor: Uh, the Ayatollah is dead.

    @ScottJenningsKY: There you go!

Oil today is elevated, but still far below Biden-era peaks.

    Brent: $95/barrel WTI: $87/barrel

Under Biden, after Russia invaded Ukraine: โ€ข Brent hit $139 โ€ข WTI hit $133

Today remains roughly $40+ below those highs.

  12. Bitter, any idea how our Phillies look for this year? Remember I couldn’t think of strong enough way to express my displeasure that the Mets failed to fire their manager, and then they dumped Alonso and Nimmo. So I am compelled to root for the Phillies this year.

  20. Bitter,

Hope and pray that this hospital stay becomes the end of your problems in a good way.

The bo from Hedgesville WV (my hometown) who also played baseball at WVU is now a starter in the outfield for his team in MLB. Guardians?

He got a double the other day. He is left handed, but hit a pitch to left field and it bounced over the fence.

Another WVU guy is starting for another team in the infield I think..J.J. Weatherholtz?

Fence repair guy has been contacted, hired, and date secured for fence repair.

Goofball called today to check on two dates in early April to drive him around somewhere.

    Bible study was tonight.

    Bridge is tomorrow.

WHAT do YOU ALL think was the “GIFT” or “valuable PRIZE” that Trump says that someone he is talking to in Iran gave to the U.S.?

    WHAT COULD IT BE?

  22. Will be interesting to watch what happens in WV primaries.

FIRST, the R party has now closed the primary to only allow register Rs to vote. For decades, the Rs allowed Indys to vote in R primaries and the Ds did not. Now it is reversed.

SECOND, In the WV Senate there is a big rift between factions. The two groups have rounded up primary opponents to try to get ride of each other

THIRD, the big issue regarding proposed data centers here in the eastern panhandle and in various other regions of WV could turn out to bite the Rs in the butt as the governor and legislature did legislation to freeze out local control over the INS and outs of the data centers, AND the sizeable tax revenue–which BEFORE the legislation would all have stayed in the county where the data centers were located–but NOW 70% of the tax revenue will go to Charleston to be distributed for power grid upgrades, income tax reduction fund, and 1-% shared among all 55 counties based on population.

People here in the eastern panhandle are livid with the R governor, the R super majority legislature, the R local legislators (all Rs), and the 5 R county commissioners.

On a related note, Loudoun county VA has 300 data centers. They bring in hundred of millions to the county in revenue. Loudoun has the lowest tax rate of all the counties in the DC area because of the big revenue it gets from the data centers. In Loudoun, the data centers are now paying about a million dollars an acre for the land to build new ones there.

The one data center here in Berkeley Co. would bring add about $10 MM in annual revenue to the county government (current budget is $55MM) and about $40MM annually to the county school system (current budget about $250 MM)
