    AI Overview

Based on reports from February 28, 2026, following retaliatory strikes by Iran, damage within Israel has been described as localized rather than widespread, with

no major casualties reported so far

Key details regarding the damage in Israel:

    • Impact Sites: Iranian missiles or falling debris from interceptions resulted in impacts in northern Israel and around Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh.
    • Structural Damage: A nine-story building in northern Israel was hit by debris, causing structural damage. Images showed damage to residential buildings, including shattered windows and debris.
    • Casualties: No deaths have been reported, though one man in northern Israel sustained minor injuries from shrapnel. Some individuals were injured while seeking shelter.
    • Defense Performance: Israel’s multi-layered defense systems (including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow) successfully intercepted the majority of incoming fire.
    • Scale of Attack: Reports indicate this was a smaller, more targeted barrage compared to previous conflicts, with roughly 30-35 ballistic missiles launched at Israel in this initial wave.

GUILTY: A Los Angeles federal jury just returned guilty verdicts against two defendants for stalking an ICE deportation officer.

Cynthia Raygoza, 38, of Riverside, and Ashleigh Brown, 38, of Aurora, Colorado, were found guilty today of stalking.

On August 28, 2025, Raygoza and Brown followed the victim from a federal building in downtown Los Angeles to his home.

The defendants livestreamed their pursuit on their Instagram accounts, provided directions as they followed the victim home, and encouraged viewers to share the livestream.

Upon arriving at the victim’s residence, the defendants shouted to bystanders while livestreaming that their “neighbor is ICE,” “la migra lives here,” and “ICE lives on your street and you should know.” They also shouted racial slurs at the victim’s wife. The victim’s children witnessed the incident.

Raygoza and Brown each face up to five years in federal prison at their June 8 sentencing hearing.”

  28. I was going to answer each of Paul’s questions from yesterday, but jason beat me to it and no doubt did a better job. But here was going to be my reply:

“So what do you call someone who attacks our elections?”

A Democrat. Over and over. I vividly recall when I was a young adult just getting started, in Wisconsin. Election day morning, we got up to discover that in the night, Democrats had slashed all the tires of the GOP GOTV vans in the Milwaukee area. Right then I knew what we were up against.

“Who tries to delegitimize our elections? “

Democrats. Hillary in 2016 as jason noted.

    “Who f*cks with our elections?”

DEMOCRATS. Over and over and over. Ballot harvesting, more votes counted in urban precincts than there were registered voters, the stuff found in Georgia from 2020. The slashed tires I mentioned above…could go on and on.

    “Who lies about our elections?”

    DEMOCRATS!

“Who sows distrust in our elections?”

    DEMOCRATS!

    “Who incites violence & chaos…?”

DEMOCRATS incite violence so much that a leftist shot up Steve Scalise and nearly killed him. A leftist nearly killed Trump. Another tried and didn’t get the shot off. A leftist couldn’t defeat Kirk in an honest and friendly debate, so he assassinated him.

“Who threatens to use the military to keep people from participating in our elections?”

NOBODY, but DEMOCRATS have used intimidation tactics like the Black Panthers that stood outside polling places threatening people.

“Who tries to nationalize/take over our elections?”

NOBODY, though Democrats would love to take over elections through lack of any voter id, and mailing ballots out in such quantity that anyone can pick them up and fill them out and stuff unguarded drop boxes with them.

“Who refuses to accept the results of our elections?”

    Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“Who commits crimes trying to overthrow our elections?”

DEMOCRATS! Ballot harvesting, and all the fraud and corruption like Al Franken’s theft of a senate seat.

“What do you call someone who does all of that? Our enemy. America’s enemy.”

AGREED! Democrats are our enemy, America’s enemy.

Saturday morning, during Ramadan, also Shabbat during the day. That’s when Israel took the opportunity, dropped 30 bombs on the compound. The US simultaneously struck military targets.” The US ALONE carried out nearly 900 strikes in 12 hours: “An incredibly high number.” “The strike had to be moved up based on intelligence, this so-called ‘target of opportunity.’ A deliberate decision accelerated the timeline, for the DAYTIME, which is extremely unusual.”

They have a granddaughter that several years ago (5 or 10 years ago) has declared she is a male. Changed her name to a boy’s name. Moved to the west coast…

NOW, they have another granddaughter (12 years old) who has decided she is trans. The girl had a big dilemma because she cannot decide what male name to choose to require everyone to call her. (or call “him” [who is really a her]).

Twelve years old. Even though born a female, she is SURE she is a male.

And people worry about an outbreak of the flu…

    Like

  68. In my circles (church, family and community), I have known quite a few young people who are trans. However, almost all of them are females who have decided they are male or non-binary. My own daughter being one of them.

I have wondered if one small factor is the particular challenges that society puts on young women. And they feel that life would be easier as a male.

    Like

  69. Paul,

I would say society today makes it much easier to be a female than a male.

    ***************

Females are a protected minority class (even though they are actually the majority) for things such as hiring, or getting into the military or being a police officer or fireman since there are lesser requirements for physical strength to qualify.

Concerning abortion, the female is the one who makes the decision whether to end her pregnancy–not the guy who provided the sperm.

Females are more likely to be believed if they make charges of sexual harassment (whether the accusations are true or not).

Females are better at multi-tasking than are men.

Women are far more likely to get custody of the kids in divorce cases. And until recent years, it was the divorced woman who also got the monthly alimony check

Most guys are less likely to hit a woman than to hit a man (if both equally were offenders of the person who might slug one of them).

Women exhibit more compassion than do men, on average.

Women tend to have higher grades in school than do men. (and one could make the argument women are smarter).

Women on average are better than men in reading and being verbal and women enjoy reading and read more than men do

More women are graduating from college today than are men.

The life expectancy for women is longer–in part because women do a better job of taking care of themselves.

Women tend to view themselves more positively than do men and rate themselves more happy and content with their lot than do men.

Women consistently rank higher than men is conscientiousness, openness, extroversion, agreeableness.

Women can use their looks, their womanly wiles, or whatever to gain more opportunities from men than the other way around.

Women have a higher degree of motherly instinct than men have regarding a fatherly instinct and women are less likely to abandon their son/daughter than are men.

Women (rather than the man) will get to choose how a household is run, what is going to be on the menu for supper, how the house and furniture will be arranged, what colors the wall will be, how this and that will be done at home…

Back when I was a teenager, adult females were far more likely to NOT go to jail when pulled over for a traffic violation and police discovered they were intoxicated. Males who were drunk were more likely to spend the night in jail than were females. I DO think this female advantage had changed now due to more strict DUI laws.

    Like

  70. and despite possible objections about it by the courts as to not being equal, FEMALES develop and mature earlier than boys do.

Plus I think it is still true that more males than females end up in jail or prison and the % of prison population that is female is lower than % who are males.

    Like

  71. 70 years ago, most 10 or 12 year old boys best ten or so friends were all other boys.

And most 10 year old girls’ had lots of best friends who were all other girls.

But 70 years ago, that did not then mean that every boy and every girl were trans.

Today…somehow…the fact that if you are a 10 or 12 year old boy and really like to hang out with other boys, or if you are a 120 or 12 year old girl and really like the company of other girls this is an alarm bell that you MUST be trans….

    Like

  72. retlaw, You make good points. I was not intending to make any argument.

I was just wondering why so many young women that I’ve known at church and in community decided they’d prefer to be male. And it ties into you experience with two grand daughters of your friends.

I also realize that it might just be my own world where there are a lot more “trans men” (females who want to be male) than “trans women”. And not be reflective of the wider world.

Then came the break. Intelligence picked up a rare Saturday morning gathering of Iran’s top leadership at a central Tehran compound, with Khamenei confirmed in attendance. The window was real and it was tight. The intelligence was passed to Israel. Plans shifted. Instead of a nighttime strike under cover of darkness, the U.S. and Israel recalibrated for a daylight hit to maximize the opportunity. The compound was struck. Also, If you are a male and declare yourself a woman you can go into women’s locker room,s and see lots of women in various stages of undress.
