correct, but you can’t underestimate the effect of Mueller, Comey, and Wray on hiring in this organization for the past 30 years. Everyone hired was under them and merely changing current leadership still leaves you with a bureaucracy of concentrated PC shite. They purged all the existing by the book law enforcement types and brought in a lot of DEI hires as well as left of center candidates that had no problem with politicized law enforcement. It’s going to take at least 8 years of new management hiring to bring in people less left of center and more competent, mission oriented. I’ve had some experience turning around an organization or 2 and believe me it’s not easy and definitely a long term project to effectively and permanently change the culture. I’m actually quite impressed with what Kash and Bondi have done with the FBI and DOJ so far, popular opinion to the contrary notwithstanding. We definitely need a JD presidency to complete the job.

Agreed. Multi-colored lights on indoor trees are a must, and you need a lot of them, and three-dimensionally applied to the tree. At least 300 or 400 on a six foot tree, more for taller trees.

Took the guy at the rescue mission out hither and yon this morning. Then we had a luncheon in Shepherdstown with old college friends (now living in Beryville, VA). Power was out here at our home before we left for 12:30 lunch. Came back, still out.
Was still out when we left to go to a Christmas bluegrass and country show (near Shepherdstown). Kept getting text messages from power company that the power would be restored at 5:30…then 6:30….then 8:30…called home to son and he said power still out…then the last text from power company was they estimated power would be back up at 11:30.
Between those text messages I also get emails from power company saying my electric is now back on, and in the email there is a link to click on to respond and say yes it is on or no it is not on. I try to respond to tell them it is NOT on, but their response I(AI, I am sure) says they cannot understand what my response it…
Our gas fireplace does not work if the power is out. So when that happens (has happened twice in last few years) I have to take some panel off and flip some switch somewhere so it will switch over to battery power so I can start it. I can never remember all the steps, so I figure I will have to put the head lamp on and go find the directions and then do what needs to happen to make it work.
We get home about 10 p.m. and ANOTHER CHRISTMAS MIRACLE ! Our power is ON!
Thank you, Jesus.

Brown shooter from Portugal facts being reported by Jessie:
Shooter originally came her on student visa in 2001.
Went back to Portugal not long after he dropped out/quit or whatever.
Reentered U.S. in 2017 due to being selected to return on a diversity lottery visa program.
Had off shore bank accounts….
Had credit cards not in his name….
Had addresses (where he claimed he lived) in Miami, Las Vegas and Boston. (possibly fake) They went to the one address in Boston and whoever lived there did not know the shooter and said never heard of him. HMMM.
For 6 weeks or so had been casing Brown U…accd to surveillance video at various homes near Brown U….
ALSO..from another source (Brown U student) who says that that building at Brown U was ALWAYS unlocked.
ALSO from police sources…at the storage unit he had a bullet proof vest and TWO automatic pistols. Which raises issues of how an immigrant gets/buys two pistols and a bullet proof best.
I have read a couple posts/re[ports that said he was a member of the aloha snack bar religion, but no official confirmation of that from anyone.

Actually, he arrived in 2001 as a student. He only got a green card in 2017.
Seems like he was a brilliant guy, the type of immigrant you would want. Until you didn’t.
“Decades before this week’s manhunt through New England ended with the discovery of his body in a storage facility, Claudio Manuel Neves Valente had been an academic powerhouse in his home country of Portugal. Enrolled at one of the country’s most prestigious engineering schools, Neves Valente graduated at the top of his class, seemingly poised for a bright future.
Both Neves Valente and Loureiro, the MIT professor, attended the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, according to the school, which said that they were enrolled from 1995 to 2000 in the undergraduate program in technological physics engineering. Rogério Colaço, the president of Instituto Superior Técnico, told the Portuguese newspaper Expresso that Neves Valente graduated with a final average grade of 19 out of 20 — an exceptionally high score, particularly given how rigorous the university is.
Even before starting college, Neves Valente had made a strong impression academically. He represented Portugal at the 1995 International Physics Olympiad for secondary school students, in Canberra, Australia, a news clip from the science publication Gazeta da Física shows.”

Nope-a-dope.
He arrived in U.S. on student visa to attend Brown U. and then LEFT the U.S in 2003 and returned to Portugal.
THEN, he won the immigration lottery program for diversity (20MM applied) and about
80,000(?) were handed out in 2017 and he got one of those and reentered U.S. in 2017.
So…did he bring the two 9mm pistols with him when he re-entered in 2017? Buy them in FL where he live (supposedly) and worked (?) for 8 years?
Are there any restriction of gun ownership for people who are legal immigrants (or granted visas to come here to school or work) and who are not yet U.S. citizens?
What work did he do? I am sure he filed F.I.T. / IRS 1040…?

Feel good story of the day –
The Trump administration is making sponsors pay back the money that migrants received through tax-payer funded benefits like welfare and health care.
Deputy Secretary of HHS, Jim O’Neill, is sending out demands for repayment from sponsors of migrants who have accessed taxpayer-funded benefits. Its actually a pre-existing law that was not enforced during the Biden Administration.
O’Neill said that sponsors are on the hook for the money when sponsored migrants use public benefits.
This action lines up with federal immigration law, which has required this type of accountability since the 1996 welfare reform.

Good luck with excising it.
The NFL is spending billions on their “Inspire Change” initiative.
What kind of change do you think it is? Well, capitalism to Marxism.
But people who should know better, like Bitter, rush to defend them and claim they are just interested in the “football” and that the NFL agenda does not bother them or influence them. Black national anthem? Socialist memes and ads advocating for a “new” society? Woke messages in the end zones, helmets, cleats, etc? Nahh….its about football!
The NFL has unlimited funds to promote the false “we are about football” meme while spending billions on identity politics, DEI and “social justice” (code for their real agenda, the kind of judicial “reform” advocated by the Soros DAs).
The only way to influence the NFL would be to hit them where it hurts: revenue. But unfortunately, too many people are like lemmings heading for the cliff.

Or pull off a bunch of reporters off covering stories about Hollywood people and what their favorite desserts are, or cranking out stories incessantly about there are the worst states two retire to, or the best laundry detergent to use, or which fast food is the most nutritious and put them to work on covering real and important things like the Brown U shooter.

They have about half a dozen woke end zone messages that presumably they can choose to place. I doubt any team can do away with them altogether.
But even “choose love” has nothing to do with football, same woke trash.
I suggest if the NFL wants to engage in social messaging they could start with some of these:
“Salute to service”
“Back the blue”
“Take responsibility”
“Freedom isn’t free”
Want to speak about love?
How about “Love your country” but maybe the Somalis wouldn’t take it as intended.

This is exactly what I was talking about.
“No, we avoided the Super Bowl because the NFL is no longer the politically neutral, family-friendly organizer of “America’s Game.” It’s an anti-American, “woke” institution that engages in racial discrimination with apparent immunity from the Justice Department, which seems unconcerned with enforcing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when it comes to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the team owners.
The Super Bowl has always started with the national anthem, which celebrates not only the birth of our nation but also our most important national principle: E pluribus unum, “out of many, one.” We are a nation of immigrants from many different countries and cultures, but we have consistently advanced the idea that we are one people.
Despite this, the NFL has implemented a symbol of division, the so-called Black national anthem, at the start of every Super Bowl. Now, instead of singing the one patriotic song that expresses our unification as a people, the NFL has added a song intended for only one group of Americans based on their skin color.
This racist, discriminatory move is part of the “woke” agenda pushed by the radical ideologues who have invaded so many of our institutions. They hate this nation, its culture and its history, and they think America is the source of all the world’s evil.
But that isn’t all. The audience that watches the NFL is composed of Americans from every political stripe. And we want to watch football being played without being bombarded with virtue signaling by so-called social justice warriors. In 2021, as even The New York Times acknowledged, the NFL allowed players to put “social justice” messages on their helmets.
So rather than watching our favorite teams and our favorite players take to the gridiron without regard to their politics, we have to be bombarded with their political statements—whether obnoxious, discriminatory or just plain insipid, such as “Black Lives Matter” or “Inspire Change” or “It Takes All of Us.” (And if “It Takes All of Us,” why play an anthem dedicated to only some of us?)“

His reasons:
Vance does not support free trade, capitalism and free enterprise.
Those are good reasons, and they were the reasons I did not support Vance for VP, along with his “I don’t care about Ukraine” statement.
But Rand Paul, who is anti-Israel and even more isolationist in foreign policy than Vance, is ignoring the fact the R base does not support free trade, capitalism and free enterprise either.
And like it or not, I think with Rubio declaring his support, Vance has a 90% chance of winning the nomination.
IF the Trump administration fails miserably and is very unpopular in 2027, I can see a door for DeSantis to run.
And while I prefer DeSantis to Vance, I don’t want that scenario to happen.
