“According to a 1991 Los Angeles Times report, Reiner and Michele purchased the home from Norman Lear, the legendary producer behind “All in the Family,” the sitcom that launched Reiner to fame as Michael “Meathead” Stivic.

Lear had owned the property since 1972 and initially listed it for $6.5 million. The sale ultimately closed for $4.75 million, the Times reported.

The New England–style residence spans roughly 10,000 square feet and includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two staff quarters, and sits on just under an acre of land.

The property was described as featuring a swimming pool, pool pavilion, and landscaped gardens. A tennis court on a lot across the street was also reportedly included in the sale”

Evidently Reiner did not accept his son’s lifestyle and took a “tough love” approach, which probably got him killed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you….thank you….I know many …thank you….many did not, you know, expect this, but I am back. I am sooo back. Ha ha ha…*snort*…ha ha ha…[uncontrolled cackling for 10 seconds]. I am back because I back have your back as I did back four years ago when uh the election, uh, we really won if you, uh, think about how the unburdened voters wanted me so badly and I never let them down. It is time for us to do what we have been doing in 2024. And that time is every day. But the uh, hate and the voters, the voters were so filled with hate, you know the voters of garbage–the garbage voters, unburdened by what has been, brought their hate and violence to the polls to take away the election results away from what the voters really wanted and really voted for if you think about it. I now can imagine what can be, but really wasn’t in 2024, but now unburdened by that result, we look forward to what will be and how we leverage the level playing field once again to achieve what must be done yesterday, today, and also tomorrow. Do any of you want me to sign your copy of my book?

  18. sure jason, here is how the left views bank robbers, which is really an insensitive term. Really they are just your neighbors.

Your innocent neighbors just stumble through a door, and it just happened to be a bank. Then without warning a gun suddenly pops out from beneath your neighbor’s coat leading the tellers to conclude the gun is demanding money, so they give it. The confused neighbor receives the money hoping all the time the evil gun doesn’t just go off like they often do. Sounds like innocence and the gun is the problem.

    Like

  19. The left might also view bank robberies as necessary to ensure equitable distribution of money.

It is not fair banks have all this money and some people don’t have much, so it is only right for people to “rob” (insensitive term, the right words should be “share”) the money.

  53. Ok, I watched network nightly news tonight for the first time in maybe 20 years.

To be honest, it wasn’t as bad as I thought.

Yes, the segment on Rob Reiner made him look like the second coming of Jesus Christ, but did not mention his politics.

The segment on the Brown shooting did not overtly include any anti-gun propaganda and did not have interviews with any politicians calling for gun control. It was mildly critical of the RI authorities for having the wrong guy arrested, and Brown for not having surveillance cameras.

The Australian shooting segment, to my surprise, was clear about the attack being against Jews and anti-semitic in nature. It failed to mention the killers were Islamic terrorists but it did not try to pivot to Gaza or make any excuses.

The Syria ambush segment was straight news, no spin.

The other segments were the Heisman Trophy winner, with the obligatory “his grandparents came to America in search of the American Dream” and the WA floods, pretty straightforward and no global warming references.

No anti-Trump segment, Venezuela, ICE, etc.

    All in all, surprising watchable.

Will watch again in maybe 20 years.

  74. Everyone knows there was never probable cause for the raid.

The documents were not being “hidden”, the Archives knew about them and Trump did not deny having them. He even agreed to store some of them with added protection as mandated by the Archives. And despite the “national security” hype by the MSM, these docs were not valuable to our enemies, it was stuff Trump wanted to keep for souveniers or for his memoirs or maybe even because he thought they might exonerate him from the lawfare against him. If he had wanted to, it could declassified all of it on his last day in office (he claimed he did, btw).

He was disputing his right to have them and the appropriate measure was for the Archives to get a court order to force Trump to return them. The raid was a clown show staged photo-op and the subsequent charges ridiculous overreach.

I can’t think of anyone here who ever expressed a view that this circus act was legitimate.
