  3. I am back to say Trump is failing our country and the conservative movement.. As I predicted.

How and why…Trump believes the government is the answer to all our problems.

What’s the latest on the Department of Education? Not much.

Now Dismantling DOGE … which has been hampered from the beginning by Scott Bessent… is the ultimate betrayal of the deconstruction of the administrative state. Congress hardly codified any savings…it’s a disgrace. This is the final straw for me.

A plan for extending of Obamacare for two more years, 2K government handouts…Trumps BS about the price of groceries…, 50 year mortgages…etc…

    Epstein file stonewalling.

    It’s quite a betrayal.

The GOP is going to get their ass kicked in 2026 mid terms.

  4. DOGE was the most popular domestic policy in the history of polling. Trump nurfed it!

The swamp and most importantly… the Woke Commie NGOs won.

They just caught the Somalia fraud in mn.

They also just canceled large contracts.

  8. That is the cover story… there has only been one small slice of cuts voted on by congress months ago. It’s just BS from Trumps people…only people that track closely this would know better.

  10. Tina…Canceling contracts doesn’t stop the national budget impact spent by congress in future fiscal years…LOL.

DOGE has turned into another swamp illusion.

Don’t you see Trump has to BS is way to maintain the image of MAGA?

He had to change the tariffs on certain food items last week after saying for months his BS of the price of groceries were way down. They were not.

I read that the woke Philadelphia Enchanting Flower Bedders (future name) lost to the woke (future name) Dallas Inclusive Cheerleaders.

I hear there were 36 “roughing the passer calls”. 45 “unnecessary roughness” calls, 108 pass interference calls, 59 players were sent to cute little blue tents for concussion protocols or assorted boo-boos and all players scoring had to genuflect at the “If you ain’t a Marxist, you ain’t sh-t” and “It takes the government to take care of all of us” messages in the end zones.

    The BBB, for one.

Saved the taxpayers from a 4.8 trillion tax increase.

Made the Trump tax cuts permanent.

    No taxes on tips/overtime

Full expensing for certain capital investments

    Border security

    Permanent opportunity zones

No tax on SS for most recipients.

Of course, I am sure JeffP thinks Kamala would have done all those things plus drain the swamp.

  14. Trumps solution to progress in his second term is nuking the filibuster. I think the Woke Commie Dems thought the same thing. Regardless of who pulls the plug it will destroy what little is left of our Republic form of governance. Straight democracy will lead to tyranny as the 51% will dominate the 49%. I guess MAGA hopes they are always the 51%? Pipe dreams.

  22. The National Taxpayers Union Foundation used IRS data to calculate how many taxpayers are moving into and out of states each year.

What it found was stunning. California is losing taxpayers at a rate of one every 1 minute 44 seconds – the fastest of any state in the nation. That amounts to billions in lost tax revenue every year.

Florida, in contrast, is gaining taxpayers at a rate of one every 2 minutes 9 seconds.”

No sure this is significant. 40 taxpayers an hour is like a thousand a day or 365 thousand a year.

Now if those are top 1% people then yes, it could impact the tax base significantly.

Trump is squandering a mandate that might never come again. The accountability that DOGE brought was the most popular initiative in the history of polling. The tax cuts were a no brainer and security at the borders should be the standard. So I don’t count that as anything special…just expected due diligence.

  29. Baris and RMG have picked that up, and much of the decline has been driven by the America First crowd (along with Trump’s youth voters) going apesh*t over the necessary bombing of Iran. These people apparently cannot afford understand that Trump can secure peace abroad AND deal with domestic issues, they want him laserlike focused on Epstein even though there is only so much Trump can do on that (and I do concede that he hasn’t handled the messaging well)

But otherwise, the voters souring on him are not realistic about most of this stuff. They won’t be happy unless they see half of Congress and Wall Street cuffed and perp-walked for banging underage girls.

  30. GF – Another issue is that there no Trump ideology or agenda beyond Trump. He adjusts positions constantly. The MAGA faction will vote for him every 4 years but that is over now. He will not be running in 2028 (despite the absurd fantasy of his zealots). He has shown little interest in supporting candidates who are not him. Trump was a once in a lifetime phenomenon but there is no heir to it.

  31. Trump hasn’t even completed 25% of his 4-year second term in office, and yet he has been actively involved in chalking up accomplishments both domestically and internationally. While his ultimate mandate from the people revolved around America First concerns, managing this country encompasses global issues as well as cleaning up after Biden’s ruinous domestic policies. Basically, it takes time and patience for results to manifest themselves to satisfy an impatient public and circumvent an oppositional party stonewalling everything Trump wants to do, including approving his nominees. Baris and Rasmussen remarks and polling only demonstrate how difficult it is to appease people navigate thru the traps, misinformation, lies of the Dems/ media – all the while making great progress at a pace to achieve all the magical thinking asks and wants..

This makes no sense. Lawmakers did not tell the military to defy the president. Troops are briefed about the laws of war, including that they must not follow manifestly illegal orders. Restating the law is not violating the law.

    @OriginalRoddick

David, if you have committed pedophilia against multiple children, the children you molested and their parents have every right to take you to court. I’m not saying you committed pedophilia, I’m just saying if you have or intend to molest children in the future, then those children and their families have every right to see that you go to jail for your crimes. Again, I mean, I’m not saying, I’m just saying, is all. See how innocent my statement is and totally not meant to provoke any kind of reaction is?”

  35. This is a very good article explaining our current financial situation and what the republicans need to focus on like a laser. It’s well worth a good 10 minutes for a read –

    Excerpt –

This mathematical valley explains the rage we see in the American electorate, specifically the animosity the “working poor” (the middle class) feel toward the “actual poor” and immigrants.

Economists and politicians look at this anger and call it racism, or lack of empathy. They are missing the mechanism.

Altruism is a function of surplus. It is easy to be charitable when you have excess capacity. It is impossible to be charitable when you are fighting for the last bruised banana.

The family earning $65,000—the family that just lost their subsidies and is paying $32,000 for daycare and $12,000 for healthcare deductibles—is hyper-aware of the family earning $30,000 and getting subsidized food, rent, childcare, and healthcare.

They see the neighbor at the grocery store using an EBT card while they put items back on the shelf. They see the immigrant family receiving emergency housing support while they face eviction.

They are not seeing “poverty.” They are seeing people getting for free the exact things that they are working 60 hours a week to barely afford. And even worse, even if THEY don’t see these things first hand… they are being shown them.

The anger isn’t about the goods. It’s about the breach of contract. The American Deal was that Effort ~ Security. Effort brought your Hope strike closer. But because the real poverty line is $140,000, effort no longer yields security or progress; it brings risk, exhaustion, and debt.

When you are drowning, and you see the lifeguard throw a life vest to the person treading water next to you—a person who isn’t swimming as hard as you are—you don’t feel happiness for them. You feel a homicidal rage at the lifeguard.

We have created a system where the only way to survive is to be destitute enough to qualify for aid, or rich enough to ignore the cost. Everyone in the middle is being cannibalized. The rich know this… and they are increasingly opting out of the shared spaces:
