Inflation HAS come down from its highs, it was coming down even when Biden was still in office.
But lower inflation doesn’t mean lower prices, it MEANS PRICES RISE MORE SLOWLY. To lower prices, you need to have more supply than demand (FLA2025 hardest hit).
People are unhappy with the high prices caused by Biden’s policies. These prices have stopped rising but they are still high. So the unhappiness now gets directed at Trump, not Biden.
Unfair? Yes, but tariffs don’t help. Trump is backing down on a lot of tariffs, especially on food, which should have an impact, albeit slowly.

Better late than never, but Trump should never have imposed tariffs on food when the Dems are intent on capitalizing on grocery prices.

Sorry I have not been here earlier. Our day to do Meals on Wheels, then lunch then errands, then prepare for Bible study, then Bible Study from 6 to 7 p.m.
I DID have time on the road to listen to some more CNN.
They are spending LOTS of time on the vote to release the Epstein files.They were talking about it on the way to lunch. And still talking about it an hour or so later.
Big talking points:
–this was definitely a big loss for Trump.
–there are a lot of people that will be covered in this blast zone. (they mentioned blast zone a number of times)
–this is the beginning of the Rs in Congress splitting off from Trump. The Rs in Congress want to get reelected so they know they will have to step away from Trump
–Trump from here on out is a lame duck (will have less and less power and influence).
