I have read news articles from Maine, NY, Washington D.C. and other states where there were corrupt scandals of illegals paying thousands under the table to DMV workers to either get CDL licenses, or illegals using body cameras when they took the written tests and someone outside was viewing the camera and telling them what answers to write. Saw another video of how the police stopped a tt truck to check its log. Found it delivered a load from NYC to TX. THEN THEY STAYED IN THAT TX CITY FOR 3 DAYS before starting return trip to NYC. They were running empty on return. Police said it costs thousands for you to drive from TX to NY, Why did you stay for 3 days in TX before starting back to NY? you are losing thousands by just sitting and getting paid for nothing for 3 days? (Usually truckers get on websites to dispatchers who tell them where they can find a return load.) They could not tell the officers what exactly they had delivered from NYC to TX. When they inspected the CAB of the truck they found 75 POUNDS of bricks of cocaine. Both drivers were foreigners. One spoke almost no English. The police brought in an officer who was fluent in Spanish.

In the Capitol building in WV, in my office, I could not even put a nail or screw in the wall to hang a picture. I would first have to send off a request to do so, and then an architectural review committee (not any of the legislators) would have to approve it, and a maintenance/grounds employee would have to be sent up to do the actual work.
I am amazed that apparently it is so easy for a president to order major changes in a government building like the white house.
Obama did it in 2010. Something like $280 MM in taxpayer money to make major renovations to the white house.

It’s not that easy, but Trump has followed all the regulations. Demolishing part of this building which has no historical significance is not violating anything.
The new building (the ballroom itself) had to be approved and conform to a bunch of standards.
The American public gets a new $250 million ballroom that can host 650 people instead of the 250 now. From the plans, it will be stunning.
