Ketanji Brown Jackson bizarrely compares African Americans to disabled people not being able to enter buildings: “They don’t have equal access to the voting system. They’re disabled.”

  2. And yet in many urban areas, black voters who live there can simply walk a few blocks to vote. They don’t need a car. They don’t need a driver’s license, and if they forget to walk in and vote, someone else is likely to vote on their behalf. That is incredible access.

By comparison, out in fly over rural America, voters have to have access to a car, meaning a drivers license, and then spend money on gas, and sometimes drive a significant number of miles to reach the county seat where they go in to vote. And if they don’t make it, nobody is going to fill it out for them.

    Who has easier access?

JUST IN: New York Attorney General Letitia James signed a 2020 “second home rider” mortgage document certifying her Virginia property as a personal residence to snag a sweetheart 3% interest rate, saving her nearly $19,000, but prosecutors now charge it was a sham rental scheme occupied rent-free by her grandniece, exposing James to federal bank fraud and false statement indictments that carry a potential 60-year prison sentence.

  15. Maybe not; Jays have tied it up in the 3rd.

If it makes you feel any better, LA county moved ten points rightward while Seattle and King county are irreparably Blue.

  20. John Fetterman brings the Kennedy Center to complete silence as he delivers this emotional message on stage: “I know and I love people who voted for President Trump. They are NOT fascists, they’re NOT Nazis, they’re NOT trying to destroy the Constitution.” “I REFUSE to call people Nazis or fascists. I would never compare anybody — anybody to Hitler.”

  21. Predictit has SCOTUS striking down Trump’s tariffs 60-40 chance.

I have mixed feelings about this.

I adamantly oppose the tariffs and would love to see them sh-tcanned, but at the same time I think commercial/trade policies belong to the executive branch.

Ideally the US should be the beacon/advocate for free enterprise, free markets, free trade in the world without SCOTUS intervention.

  22. Fetterman is right, and it’s his colleagues who are fomenting all the violence. Just like someone who hollers FIRE in a crowded theater is responsible for the deaths of those trampled, someone who hollers HITLER! is culpable for the deaths caused by those who believe them and go right out to shoot and kill Hitler.

  23. I saw that Trump may attend the SCOTUS oral argument. As an attorney, I recommend that he not do it. Both can be true.
