WTF does “Virginia voters” mean?
2021 exits had the gender split at 52/48 M/F. This poll has it at 53/47. There’s two points right off the bat. Then the internal modifier, then lack of a LV screen. I think Sears is behind, but I don’t buy nine points.

At least in my past whenever the candidate who would have been the “first” of any kind of characteristic happened to be on the losing, and Democrat side of the ballot, I have always been lectured that we just weren’t ready for the first of that kind.
So that should swing both ways. Virginians were just not ready for the first black female governor.
