Lip leader Nicola Hickling told the Daily Mail that Trump started the conversation by warmly asking the Tesla billionaire, “How are you doing?” as they sat down next to each other.
“So Elon, I’ve heard you wanted to chat,” Trump then apparently said before adding, “Let’s try and work out how to get back on track.”
When Musk nodded his head, Hickling noted Trump supposedly added: “I’ve missed you.”
If in death Kirk can engineer a reconciliation between Trump and Elon it would be a great boon for conservatives.
Republicans need Elon’s financial/logistical support, and Elon needs the government’s support for a lot of his ventures.
“When Elon Musk and President Donald Trump’s feud reached a fever pitch, Charlie Kirk desperately wanted the two to put their fight to bed and make up.
“I know both these guys … I am hopeful, optimistic and will do everything I possibly can to try and bring this back together,” Kirk told Megyn Kelly in June, adding that he expected them to make up.”
So Jason can’t say how I am supposed to react to Kirk’s death. Got it.”
This is true, I don’t.
But I can say your demeaning comments and belittling of his accomplishments and dishonest accusations of “cult”, “reverence”, and “disciples” against those willing to acknowledge them certainly wasn’t the right way.
“What we saw at Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale, Ariz., on Sunday was huge in so many ways. First, there was the sheer size of it. “Five O’Clock Somewhere” producer Jim flew in from Rhode Island for the memorial. He arrived at the stadium around 5:40 a.m., and the lines were already insane. He sent me several pictures from the early hours of the day and — I kid you not — it looked like people gathering for a rock festival. All of this was going on four or five hours before the event was scheduled to start.
President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance headed the list of luminaries in attendance. The guest list looked like something one would see at a funeral for a beloved head of state who had died after a long, storied career.
It was so much more than that, though. The impact of Kirk’s assassination on the future of activism could be immeasurable. TPUSA has gotten tens of thousands of requests to start new chapters or get involved. As Matt wrote in a VIP, the Dems are sweating this. Many of the people whom I have talked to recently keep expressing sentiments along the lines of “I hope the Republicans don’t screw this up.”
Here’s why I don’t think that will happen.
Although Charlie Kirk ran in some lofty GOP circles, he was smart enough to make sure that the movement he built had its headquarters 2,000 miles away from Washington, D.C. It’s almost impossible to overstate how important that is. It’s a huge, highly-functional grassroots organization that isn’t in danger of being polluted by a bunch of backstabbing Beltway social climbers. The distance from that toxicity bodes well for TPUSA.”
Isn’t it possible Bitter to simply respect and give credit to someone for their accomplishments, disciplined temperament, ability to remain humble and authentic without being type-casted as a “cultist?” For me Charlie Kirk was a unique individual who wanted to make a difference in the world, without becoming a superficial celebrity in the process. However, with a campaign based on a law and order, family based medicine orientation, plus a greater backing by Christians, I hope his chances to beat Waltz will positively change. There are a lot of things going on in the world/nation that ten years ago I would have never thought would be happening.
“Now legal experts have warned that it could also be a costly decision – because the new country would ask for eye-watering damages in compensation for land ‘taken from the Palestinian people’ when Britain relinquished control of the region after the Second World War.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has a long history of threatening to sue Britain, is demanding ‘reparations in accordance with international law’ based on the value of the land which was under British rule between 1917 and 1948.
Some international law experts have described £2 trillion, roughly the size of Britain’s total economy, as a ‘good place to start”

“Republican leaders in Pennsylvania say the Spartacus-like sentiment also describes what they sense is happening on college campuses across the commonwealth since Kirk’s senseless murder.
Thousands of young conservatives are stepping forward — not to take Kirk’s place, they say, but to pick up his mantle of spreading Christian conservative values through open dialog and civil debate.
His story, chronicling the visceral reaction to Kirk’s killing across Pennsylvania college campuses and the longer-term implications this holds for Keystone State politics, was reported through a collaboration between PennLive and RealClear PA.
The group says it’s received more than 62,000 requests nationwide “from high school and college students looking to start new chapters or to get involved with an existing one.” The organization offered no details as to where the inquiries are coming from, nor how many will lead to new chapters.
Still, Trevor Taylor, chair of the Adams County Young Republicans and a GOP committee member, is certain the force multiplier effect of Kirk’s assassination is playing out in Pennsylvania, and across the country.
“Instead of one large torch carried by Charlie Kirk, you’re going to see smaller torches carried by many. This is doubling and tripling the efforts,” said Taylor, who at 31 is the same age as Kirk.
In Pennsylvania, this movement holds the potential to be a political game-changer, he added.
“I’ve had a dozen phone calls to see what I can do, what’s the next step,” Taylor said. “Other like-minded individuals are having those conversations. I’m getting phone calls from lesser-involved members, ‘What can we do?’ I think you are going to see a new, refined conservative political apparatus.”
In Pennsylvania, that apparatus — largely driven by Generation Z that was already trending right — could propel the electorally critical Keystone State from purple to pink to red in coming years, Taylor said.
“Right now, we are a pink state,” he said. “We still have more registered Democrats than Republicans. But that margin is less than 50,000 voters. This is really going to help narrow that gap”
“In 2024, the U.N. budgeted $372 million in cash assistance to support an estimated 624,000 migrants journeying into the United States. Think of that. The U.N. is supporting people that are illegally coming into the United States, and then we have to get them out!”
“The U.N. also provided food, shelter, transportation, and debit cards to illegal aliens. Can you believe that? On the way to infiltrate our southern border. Millions of people came through that southern border. Just a year ago, millions and millions of people were pouring in, 25 million altogether over the four years of the incompetent Biden administration.”
Contrast that against the nation of Jordan. They have received hundreds of thousands of refugees into their country. These are broken and displaced families that were victims of Muslim against Muslim violence. Widows, orphans, singles, maimed and hurt. But even though Jordan is a Muslim nation, they won’t allow these migrants to become Jordanians, or even integrate them with their nation, but instead they are all herded into a massive tent city in the desert where the UN feeds and cares for them.
If Jordan won’t accept and welcome legitimate immigrants into their culture, why do we have to accept illegal immigrants into ours?
Kirk inspired many people in life and death. That is great. I am not joining or donating to Turning Point because I don’t join organizations or donate to anything other than charities for pediatric cancer. Deal with it.
And to be accurate what I said was that I thought if TPUSA really wants to keep expanding it should be less “Jesus heavy” as I put.
It was not a criticism of religion or faith, I actually admire those that have tremendous faith, I wish I had as much, it must provide great comfort in troubled times.
I saw Bitter’s link yesterday about the rapture happening today. I don’t believe anyone can predict when that will happen. Hold on, there is a loud trumpet sound outside. What in the world? I see a bright lig
Hello All. Wanted to weigh in on Kirk. I had absolutely no idea who he was before his death, and I consider myself to be pretty informed. My boys, 9 and 11, absolutely knew who he was and were in shock. They finally said “he is the prove me wrong guy.” That is how I realize who he was. I still didn’t anticipate this kind of reaction, with basically a state funeral attended by somewhere between 70-90K people.
I have to give him respect for what he created and the lives he touched. I don’t know enough about his positions, or what he said in his debates to comment, but, I can see this as a watershed moment for conservatives. Look at them coming out all over the country, including and especially on College campuses.
The fact that most of my sons friends also knew him, and are “conservative” in their politics at their age…IN AUSTIN, again speaks to what he accomplished, and where we are heading.
Nexstar Media Group is the largest local television broadcasting group in the U.S., with more than 200 owned or partner stations that serve 220 million people in 116 U.S. markets.
Last month, Nexstar announced a deal to acquire broadcast media company Tegna for $6.2 billion, which Nexstar said will help ensure the viability of local news and programming.

Republican Jack Ciattarelli held a single-point lead over Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill in a new internal poll of the New Jersey gubernatorial race.t
Ok, it is an internal poll, but don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
Jason, FWIW, the firm that conducted that internal was also the most accurate pollster in 2021; they had Jack down 3 in the end, and that is what he lost by.
Sherrill had a bad debate showing, let’s just hope that more and more people see the video of her flailing about that stage.
Tina, the best part is that the bulk of them were self-removals. Who would have thought that simply creating an environment where they could not benefit off the backs of the American taxpayers would have compelled so many freeloaders to leave?

Uk wants to recognize a Palestinian state?
Get ready for the ram.

Picking gay people for VP takes longer than other people?
“Maddow presses Harris on Buttigieg: to say that he couldn’t be on the ticket effectively because he was gay. It’s hard to hear.

“The U.N. also provided food, shelter, transportation, and debit cards to illegal aliens.

Jason, FWIW, the firm that conducted that internal was also the most accurate pollster in 2021; they had Jack down 3 in the end, and that is what he lost by.
