“This morning’s NYT/Siena poll contained a pair of questions on whether voters think Harris is too liberal/progressive3 and whether Trump is too conservative. The numbers were lopsided in Trump’s favor. Only 32 percent of voters said Trump was too conservative, while 47 said Harris was too liberal. The demographics on this question are about what you might expect. Harris is faring poorly among white voters without college degrees, rural voters, and older voters: the types of voters who are plentiful in Blue Wall states like Pennsylvania.”
“Harris also blew one big opportunity to tack to the center with her selection of Tim Walz rather than Josh Shapiro: that a tiny minority of progressives objected to Shapiro was an argument in Shapiro’s favor, if anything. I think Walz was a decent enough pick on his own merits, but given an opportunity to offer a tangible signal of the direction her presidency was headed, she reverted to 2019 mode.”
Shapiro was no “tack to center”. I am not really convinced Shapiro is not ideologically as left wing as Walz. He is, however, much more careful in what he says about the issues and he avoids black and white statements of the type Walz constantly makes. Shapiro would sign any anti-gun legislation that came across his desk, no matter how radical or unconstitutional, but you won’t catch him saying he wants to confiscate guns for example.

Supposedly a million people showed up at the Eclipse for Trump’s speech on January 6th. From journals and articles written afterwards people described that event to be peaceful and polite. The Capitol building fiasco attracted some people just walking back from the Eclipse. By the time they arrived at the Capitol the barricades had been removed and people were streaming unopposed into the building. So, some just filed in behind them and have later been arrested.
In the last 3 plus years bits and pieces of this 4-hour protest have been revealed and pieced together, indicating the event was more of a distraction to avoid congressional debate over a collection of election irregularities, guaranteeing a quick, decisive confirmation of Biden as president. Pelosi was even recorded as owning the reason security was poor. Also, the damage done in the Capitol building was but a fraction (some estimates to be $2 million) to the $2 billion cost incurred during the Summer of Love lawlessness – people who Harris activately bailed out while J6ers were incarcerated without due process, bail, sometimes in isolation for years. The cost for a J6er just released from prison, for one window he did not break was levied at $12,000. There was so much injustice done to those participating in what is more clearly seen as an election filled with fraud and manipulation.
Actually it was FBI agents disguised as MAGA nuts that did most of the damage on 1/6. Shame on the real MAGA folks who got caught up in the excitement.

Audio recorded has people calling out those vandalizing property. Video has Trump people picking up trash or turning upright overturned trash containers. This entire event has been mischaracterized – a tendency that is a hallmark of how the Dems roll.
#s 2,3 and 4 are true. #1 is not. While I am not doubting some of the Trumpies who got caught up in the moment did some damage. The evidence points to the fact that the initial tearing down of the barriers and window breakage were done primarily by the actors. 3 out of 4 aint bad 🙂
Gameboy – Maybe, and I think its a very small possibility, that there were actually some government actors who “tore down barriers”, it was Trump supporters who went past those barriers and broke into the Capital. Wow! Nuland basically admits that Ukraine-Russia peace deal, which was close to being finalized in spring 2022, “fell apart” because US, UK & other Western governments “advised” Zelensky government that it was not “good deal” even though even members of Ukrainian delegation… pic.twitter.com/HPsrpOzQNf
The peace deal agreement included withdrawal of Russian forces from all territory of Ukraine, with exceptions of Donbas & Crimea, whose status was to be determined at meeting of Putin & Zelensky, in exchange for neutral status & demilitarization of Ukraine.”
This was a “good” deal?
What country would think giving up its sovereign territory and “demilitarization” is a good deal.
This was not a “peace agreement”, it was total surrender and effectively a complete annexation of Ukraine. Without a military, Putin would just engineer a coup and install his own government at will.
If the US advised Ukraine against such a “good deal”, they were more than right.
But take anything this Putin stooge “professor” says, he has been lying for years about the anti-Russia revolution in 2014 and pretending the Ukrainians, which have been dying on the battlefield for 2 + years defending their country, wanted a pro-Russian govt.
This is propaganda straight out of the Kremlin, but Tina laps it up like manna from heaven
“Neutral and demilitarized” means Ukraine would be a permanent vassal state of Russia like Belarus.
The Ukrainians don’t want to be “neutral” and “demilitarized”.
They are a sovereign nation that wants to pursue whatever alliances it chooses and it has every right to defend every inch of its territory from invading forces.
Maybe Tina the Putin Stooge can explain why Ukraine should give up its sovereign territory, its right to alliances of its choosing, and its military? This should be good.
Evidence shows people streamed onto the grounds of the Capitol building after flimsy barriers had been removed by an unknown man (filmed doing so), going thru a heavy front door whose magnetic locks had been magically opened from inside the building. Most of the initial vandalism (breaking of windows) was photographed as being instigated by men in dark clothing and shouted out by Trump-garbed people to “stop.” This info is not derived from conspiracy theories but by photos taken during the protest. This was such a flagrant “set-up,” concocted to interfere with any election clarity that may have been achieved through reviewing, reading and debating the problems/election issues witnessed in the 2020 election —-> full stop.
I find it troubling, though, some of you take the single one-day event, breaching the Capitol building, by people protesting the legitimacy of an election, more “criminal” than the many weeks of burning, looting, rioting done for weeks because of the George Floyd arrest and death. How many Summer of Love people were arrested and held indefinitely without bail and due process? Zero. In contrast over 1300 J6ers have been prosecuted – some still held without bail or a trial – with misdemeanors turned into felonies to lengthen jail time, and are continuing to be hunted down by swat teams even today. What’s “spooky” is those who don’t have the backs of activists being vilified for not staying on the sidelines, and just letting a questionable election slip by without a strong protest to the contrary.
To elaborate on “demilitarization”: The largest producers of weapons, tanks and military aircraft in the old Soviet Union was Ukraine. After they were freed from Soviet subjugation they consolidated all of those elements into one company Ukronboronprom. They have a massive military operation and its long been the Kremlins goal to recapture the capacity that it has, to help feed the Russian military.
Giving up Donbass and the “defense manufacturing capabilities” of Ukraine was NOT a good deal.
Regardless, saying we will not give up our sovereign territory and defense capabilities is not permission or reason to invade a sovereign country. PERIOD.
The Russian attack on Ukraine was unjustified, immoral and illegal.
Tina, there was most likely a proposal with details similar to those noted here presented to Ukraine, but it was a bad deal, and should not have been taken.
”Two and half years of Russia’s grinding offensive have decimated many Ukrainian units. Reinforcements are few and far between, leaving some soldiers exhausted and demoralized. The situation is particularly dire among infantry units near Pokrovsk and elsewhere on the eastern front line, where Ukraine is struggling to stop Russia’s creeping advances.
CNN spoke to six commanders and officers who are or were until recently fighting or supervising units in the area. All six said desertion and insubordination are becoming a widespread problem, especially among newly recruited soldiers.”
Consensus, from the bottom-up, is that Ukraine’s foot soldiers are fatigued and not as into this war as the top-down politicians, and those profiting from the continuation of this war, are.
“Because the MINUTE it became clear in 2016 that Trump was our nominee, you turned on us, and with a vengeance. And it had nothing to do with Trump. It had everything to do with the conservative base no longer taking marching orders from the party elite. You showed us then and ever since who you really are and what you really think of us. At least Hillary was honest about it with her “deplorables” remark.”
-The true “Deadenders” are those, like Cheney, who now support Kamala Harris, after voting for Joe Biden in 2020.
I post about the current state of affairs in Ukraine after 3 years of brutal combat, unknown casualties and deaths, villages being crushed . What was understood earlier was that Russia invaded Ukraine. But, what you never address is how the military is faring now, or the people themselves, after such a long period of conflict. You either dismiss reality or just want to return to your more comfortable argument of “more war because Russia is bad.” What’s always missing, though, is empathy for those on the ground actually dealing with or dying for that war.

Another ‘tied’ poll…Pew Research
Trump 49
Harris 49

According to these polls this race, in the terms used by Dan Rather, is as tight as ‘white on rice’.

So according to Liberals, if the data says something, it should be ignored if it doesn’t align with their desired outcome. Ignore the facts. Ignore the science. Ignore everything because facts, science et al are all biased if it doesn’t agree with their dogma.

IF the race really is tied nationally, in Registered Voter polls, then its not tight. Trump wins going away.

Harvard Poll
Among Urban voters
Harris 57% (+20)
Trump 37%
Among Suburban voters
Trump 48% (+3)
Harris 45%
Among Rural Voters
Trump 59% (+25)
Harris 34%
This is much better for Trump in the suburbs than Sienna yesterday, but worse with rural voters but a lot also
That is why it is a wash.
If Trump had been ahead by 35 with rural voters like in the Sienna Poll he would have about a 3 point lead

Even worse for Harris a. it was a mostly online poll b. Same poll same period in 2020…Biden 52, Trump 42. 2016 Hillary 46, Trump 42.
OUCH!

A suburban +3% win by Kamala means a Trump landslide. 320 electoral votes landslide.
He has to just not blow it tomorrow night.

In my view, a tied national poll means Trump wins AZ, GA, PA, MI, and WI, maybe NH.

Like Hillary and Biden, Kamala is going to “waste” about 8 million votes in CA, NY and IL.
A tied national poll means Trump will make up those votes elsewhere.

It had everything to do with the conservative base no longer taking marching orders from the party elite. You showed us then and ever since who you really are and what you really think of us.
