Rare morning flight for me, en route to a funeral back home, so I had to change to the 0720 departure from NOLA to LAX vice afternoon as I was intending. At least I got the upgrade to 1st as it’s not that full.

The upside of MKE moving on is that the rest of the month opens for me, and I won’t have to sneak the little transistor radio in the kitchen on low volume during my wife’s birthday like I did last year.
All jokes aside, too many, even amongst the sports broadcasters, assumed that this was the same LA team as last year (same for the Brewers). Perhaps most of the players were the same, but between injuries and experience, it was two different crews overall from 2025.
That said, I’m still pulling for Cleveland; they’ve waited a LOT longer than Milwaukee, both leagues are using the DH now, so there isn’t much to differentiate them anymore.

Funeral is for my aunt’s mother, she was 101. The lady was a close friend of my grandmother and always a fixture in our family. When abuelita had her fatal stroke back in 1984, it was this woman who came to the house and helped us kids out as my father was working graveyard shifts at the time, and my mother was in Meridien, MS, on Reseve duty. Just an all round wonderful person.
