I have been saying since the beginning that Putin didn’t sacrifice a hundred thousand Russians plus several hundred thousand wounded, lose hundreds of billions in equipment, and become an international pariah (well, not in the eyes of the HHR Putinista Brigade) just to control Crimea the part of the Donbas he already had.
This was a war of annexation and conquest, plan B for the failed decapitation of the Ukrainian government and installation of a puppet regime which was plan A.
And it is just one part of the general strategy to create a Greater Russia/new USSR.

wife already upset with me today.
She KNEW I had to go pick up the guy at the Rescue Mission at 10 a.m. today. After running him around here and there, I stopped by grocery store to pick up creamer. I called wife at 10:40 to tell here where I was and ask if we need anything else at the store.
She is upset that when I left the house at 9:45 I did not track her down somewhere where she was working in the back yard to tell her I was leaving.

I guess I am supposed to wake her at 5:30 a.m. from her deep sleep on S,M, T, W when I leave to take our son to his job? She already knows the night before that this is what I will do on those days.
BTW, now that the ins. Co has agreed (after 3 months) to pay for damages, body shop says it will be three weeks and they will have son’s car repaired.

Has no savings account. Usually spends more money than he makes a week. He still owes me for last week ($30 room and board; $50 for car insurance; $40 cost to have his drivers license renewed). AND he owes me for this week ($30+$50).
He got a ride home from work yesterday evening and tells me that he stopped by to look about renting one of the apartments in a complex not far from his work (our home is 8 miles away from his work).
We have son pay us $30/month to cover his room and board here. We spend far more than that on groceries, etc. than that. Plus we put his phone on our acct. and that alone costs $30/mo.
How on God’s green earth does he think he cannot get an apartment when he has NO $1,100 security deposit, NO $1,100 for the first months rent, NO $80/mo for electricity, Lord knows what other utilities, NO furniture. And will not have his car back until 3 weeks… ?

–I watch HOURS of videos on FB about people being pulled over for speeding, etc. and refuse to hand over drivers license , etc. because they are “sovereign citizens” who are exempt from all laws and all lawful orders It all ends the same way with them getting taxed, dragged from the car and going to jail, car impounded, with much more charges and cost to them than just speeding.
–One of the above videos was of a 20-something sober white woman who bought a coach seat on an airplane, but moved into the first class section when boarding because there were empty seats there. Would not go back to her coach seat. DElayed takeoff, forced plane to be emptied. still refused to leave the plane, dragged off…
–some people think blocking highways because you do not like Trump is valid and makes sense.
–some people think that if they shoot 3 or 4 people it will change the entire U.S. foreign policy.
–some people believe that they should elect people to office who will give them free everything
–Some people think if we just love everybody in every county, then everything will be hunky dory.
–Some people think that having open borders does not cost American citizens and taxpayers and society anything.
–some people believe they can go to school, and not do any work and still get a passing grade.
WTF is wrong with people’s brains?
I understand how when people are drunk or hopped up on drugs that their thinking is seriously impaired and reality distorted. But what about all the people above that think these things who are stone cold sober and not under the continual influences of illegal substances?

Now that the tariff regime looks to have stabilized (and they are just now going into effect across the board), we can start to see the impact on prices that economics predicts. Here is a blurb that came out today:
“The ISM non-manufacturing purchasing managers’ index fell to 50.1 in July, below the 51.2 that had been expected by economists polled by Dow Jones ahead of the survey, and below the 50.8 reading in June.
The prices paid index within the service survey rose, however, by 2.4 points to 69.9. New export orders fell 3.2 points to 47.9, imports tumbled 5.8 points to 45.9 and the employment index slipped further into a contraction, falling 0.8 point to 46.4.”
In other words, tariffs are beginning to crush import/export businesses. I expect this downward trend in the ISM non-manufacturing index to continue through the fall.

Considering that nobody except Walt is still alive from 1776 or 1787, I don’t see a need to prohibit anybody not born in America from becoming President. Nobody born as an American citizen did anything to earn that citizenship. Nobody. I have no issue amending the Constitution to allow naturalized citizens who actually earned their citizenship from being President. Discuss.
