Walt – Having met you and your wife, I think you are blessed to have each other.
I used to think it was terrible for anybody to have avoided military service during the Vietnam War. With time, I try to not judge. I tried to join the military 5 times but the vicious anti-diabetic policy prevented it.

I put in a bet on the Brazilian club Fluminense just because the odds are so good (20 to 1) to win the Cllub World Cup.
In the Gold Cup final Mexico is a very slight favorite. They usually have a stronger team than the US but the US has dominated since 2020.

CNN’s Dana Bash identifies two possible causes for the Texas flooding tragedy in questions to Dem Rep Castro: Climate change and the Trump administration.

CNN’s narrative about the Texas floods is to point fingers at the ‘cuts’ done already to NOAA by the Trump Administration that could have warned people of this disaster. They point to the fact that in February 880 employees were terminated that “could jeopardize public safety by affecting the accuracy and timeliness of weather forecasts, particular for severe weather events like hurricanes and tornadoes”.
Look for this to take hold this week in the MSM.

Zzzzzzzzz I was told at HHR that God saved Trump’s life because Trump had a higher purpose to serve. If people accept that, they also have to accept God saw no higher purpose to be served by those killed in the flood.
I believe Trump survived being killed because he happened to turn his head. No divine intervention. Believe what you want.

Anyone in the media who tries to claim that there was not enough warning should be sued and/or fired.
If I could find a way to show all the alerts I received for potential flash floods on my phone, and both my sons phone…even my mom called me to ask if she was going to be ok.
No one in their right mind could predict that the river would rise that fast, and that high at midnight when all the campers were asleep. AND, the cabins are a good walk away from the river. We had to walk across a giant field, the mess hall area, basketball court and pickleball courts to get to the banks of the river. This is just irresponsible, horrible, hate baiting tripe.
BTW one of my best friends just happen to grab her daughter on Thursday morning from the Camp. I didn’t even know she was still there, I thought she got out last week. She’s been sending her daughters there for 13 years.
The tragedy is real, the pain is real down here, and the friggin left is exploiting it for their own gain.

They needed to play like they did after Mexico pulled ahead, but it was too late.
This team needs a lot of work if it is going to be competitive in the 2026 World Cup.

The best US players were not there, but we didn’t play very well with the team we had. I also do not like Pochettino’s managing. Only one sub before the 83rd minute. Same thing in the previous matches. And he kept playing the striker Agyemang even though it is clear he is not National team worthy. He is big but has limited soccer skill and poor balance.
