I don’t really see “war with Iran” as a protracted struggle.
If the US bombs the nuclear site, Iran can retaliate against US bases and ships, but with limited firepower now that the Israelis have destroyed a large portion of their military capability. There will be some casualties.
Then the US will probably bomb what remains of Iran’s military.
I don’t see how it becomes an “endless war” beyond that. Iran has no allies to speak of to support any long term conflict with the US.

duh…that’s what they tried to do during COVID. Trump wanted a stimmy bill so the economy didn’t die, and Pelosi was holding it hostage. She didn’t want any stimulus until after the election.
She eventually agreed to do a “bipartisan” bill after Trump agreed to put provisions into it allowing mail in voting so that Boden could get 81 million votes instead of Obama’s 69 million. Also the tea party in 2010 prevented Obama from passing any stimmy so the democrats wanted revenge for this. What they really want is an economic melt down and do economic hostage taking.

PURSUIT/RETAIL THEFT ARRESTS:
On June 18, 2025, at 7:09 PM, Berkeley County Sheriff Deputies (Deputy Miller, Deputy Keller and Sergeant Ritchie) were dispatched to a report of a Shoplifting that just occurred at 436 Retail Commons Parkway, further identified as Target. Berkeley Dispatch advised Loss Prevention was on the line stating a blue Nissan Rogue with Florida registration was leaving the store with a large amount of merchandise. Further suspect information was provided that two Hispanic males and two Hispanic females were involved. The vehicle was last seen heading towards the exit.
While responding, Deputy Keller observed the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Retail Commons Parkway and Apple Harvest Drive heading eastbound towards Interstate 81. As the vehicle entered Interstate 81 northbound, Deputy Keller attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop, and Deputy Keller pursued the vehicle. The vehicle continued northbound and then exited at the King Street Exit. The vehicle then continued to flee through parking lots, onto Viking Way, and came to a stop in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn. All four suspects then fled on foot.
Units began canvasing the area, and the driver and one of the females were located. The driver was identified as Aleges Merabal. The passenger was identified as Hillarys Rodriguez. Both suspects were from Florida. The vehicle was later found to be a rental car with Enterprise. Both suspects were placed under arrest.
Upon looking into the vehicle, Deputies observed the trunk was full of Target merchandise. Deputies conducted a vehicle search and recovered a large amount of Cosmetic and Beauty products, clothing, and general merchandise all from Target. The items were then transported back to Target and turned over to Loss Prevention.
It was later learned that the suspects had been a part of a Retail Theft Ring that included the theft of retail merchandise at numerous other locations in Virginia and North Carolina which all took place within the past 48 hours. The value of the recovered stolen property totaled $26,472.17.
The suspects are being charged with the following:

One Count of Bringing Stolen Goods into the State

When you look at the biggest bunker bomb the US has the specs for the depth it can penetrate is less than 200 feet. The Iranian facility is estimated to be 300 feet underground. The only way it might go deeper is to use 2 such bombs each hitting exactly at the same point. Consequently, it’s a risky venture, and has lots of potential to fail in its mission to completely destroy this underground facility. A counter strike by Iran is almost assured should the US take the gamble and supply the bomb. Supposedly Israel has only taken out about a third of Iran’s missiles, with most of their high powered ones yet to be used. Putting all this together I think the US should not get involved with the bombing, and instead supply other help in the form of intelligence etc.

Bitter, Israel has said it has a Plan B, should the US decline getting involved with bombing the installation. They apparently have a plan involving sending in their own men to take out the centrifuges. That would be risky as well. However, others, including Gordon Chang are wondering if Israel isn’t really capable of doing the job themselves, and are only asking the US because they want to hook them into another war siding with Israel. No one knows for sure what the odds really are for either side. However, while most don’t want Iran to have a nuclear weapon, most also don’t want the U.S. to engage in war with Iran. This is going to be a hard decision for Trump to make.

Actually there is a technique called burrowing….the U.S. would likely use a technique called burrowing, in which a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber would “drop several MOPs in succession, one after the other.”
Dropping smart bombs at the same point is not that challenging. Also you might not have to reach the site itself, if you detonate above it and cause a collapse you destroy the facility just the same. Even the shock waves can destroy a lot of the equipment.
What is really risky is allowing Iran to have nukes. Nothing else is as risky.
