WHO made the decision to TAKE OUT food and energy costs from the calculation that creates the Consumer Price Index, or the inflation rate?

    WHY did they do that?

    WHEN did they do that?

What sense did it make to take out two major components of American households spending that make up probably 20% of household spending–FOOD and HOME HEATING FUEL/ELECTRICITY/GASOLINE–from the calculation that determines the “inflation rate?”

COULD the U.S. absorb all persons who want to come to the U.S. right now–without any hard to our economy, tax structure, government costs, cultural unifying values like common language, believe in a representative democracy, rule of law, etc. etc.?

–Should the U.S. SCREEN those who want to come into the U.S. and DENY entry to those who have infectious diseases, criminals, sociopaths, psychopaths, mental incompetent, those who wish to do harm and destroy the U.S., those who are members of groups that have been declared terrorist groups, etc.?

–To do the screening, do you agree we must have the cooperation from the country from which the immigrants are coming from to have THAT government let us know what they know about those persons wanting to come to the U.S.?

–If some other country’s government is in turmoil, undergoing a big civil war, has a corrupt government who will take bribes from anyone in their country to give them a glowing positive report, etc. should we temporarily ban anyone from those countries coming here until there is a government in place there that can and will provide us with honest info?

If YOU got a visa from another country to be their guest and go to college there, or to work there, do you feel you have a right to get involved with street demonstrations and protests and takeovers of college and university buildings about some internal social issue in that country? If you DID participate in these protests (violent or peaceful), do you feel the country that granted you the visa to come to their country has the right to cancel your visa and kick you out?

    Interesting…

“The effective Israeli strikes on Iranian air defenses and military airports “will degrade Iran’s ability to restrict Israeli operations in its airspace,” the Institute for the Study of War, a conflict studies think tank in Washington, DC, said on Sunday.

Weapons analysts have identified Israeli fighter jets armed with Joint Direct Attack Munitions. JDAMs, which are made by the US defense contractor Boeing, are dumb bombs fitted with relatively cheap guidance kits that turn them into precision-guided munitions. These weapons are not considered stand-off weapons.

Analysts have also spotted Israeli aircraft armed with SPICE bombs. Like JDAMs, guidance kits that turn dumb bombs into precision weapons. They are made by the local defense firm Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.

Open-source intelligence accounts have noted the use of JDAMs and SPICE — which stands for Smart, Precise Impact, Cost-Effective — bombs in the airstrikes across Iran, including around Tehran. Israel’s ability to fire these munitions suggests it is less concerned about defenses and does not necessarily have to employ its more expensive missiles for high-value targets. It has more options.”

Trump’s advice to “evacuate Tehran” seems like clever psy-cops to me.

No one is going to deliberately attack Tehran’s civilians, but any mass exit will cause problems for Iran’s military, eat up a lot of fuel reserves, and generally cause chaos and possibly enhance anti-government feelings.
