The U.S. trade deficit in goods narrowed 46% to $87.6 billion in April from a record $162.3 billion in March, according to the Commerce Department’s advanced estimate released Friday.
After stockpiling consumer goods in the first quarter to avoid expected tariffs, firms essentially stopped importing goods in April.
The deficit was much narrower than the $143 billion deficit forecasted by economists according to an Econoday survey.
Falling imports will boost GDP growth in the second quarter.
This is breaking news. Check back for updates here.
The Supreme Court on Friday stayed a lower court order that blocked the Trump administration from deporting roughly 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. The decision is a near-term victory for President Donald Trump as he moves to crack down on border security and immigration priorities in his second term.
The Supreme Court decision stays, for now, a lower court ruling that halted Trump’s plans to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) protections for some migrants living in the U.S., which allows individuals to live and work in the U.S. legally if they cannot work safely in their home country due to a disaster, armed conflict or other “extraordinary and temporary conditions.”

Hey Bitter, here’s the list. Keep in mind over 40% of our imports come from China, Mexico, and Canada, where tariffs have been implemented and as of May 8, 2025, the U.S. Treasury Department reportedly collected $46.6 billion in tariff revenue for the calendar year 2025.
Implemented Tariffs:
Canada and Mexico: On March 4, 2025, tariffs of 25% on imports from Canada and Mexico were implemented, with a 10% tariff on Canadian energy, under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to address drug trafficking and national security concerns.
China: A 10% tariff on Chinese imports was imposed on February 4, 2025, which increased to 20% in March and later to 54% (and up to 125% or 245% with additional reciprocal and fentanyl-related tariffs) by April 9, 2025, though some adjustments were made.
Steel and Aluminum: On February 11, 2025, Trump reinstated a full 25% tariff on steel imports and increased aluminum tariffs to 25%, closing loopholes and exemptions from his first term.
Reciprocal Tariffs (“Liberation Day”): These were paused for most countries (except China) for 90 days starting April 9, 2025.

Jason-
In bibi’s books in the middle 90’s he outlined that he was planning regime change in for any country that supported Hezbollah or hamas. This was what Wes Clark discussed 10 days after 9/11 when he said the Bush administration was planning to invade 7 countries in 5 years as he was told.
Since then we’ve done regime change in 6 of the 7 countries but haven’t gotten to iran yet.
The Iran hoax is still on the table
also Russia was added to the list since it’s an ally of Iran. That’s why BodenObama regimen organized a Maidan coup in 2014 to overthrow a democratically elected gov….in order to turn the Ukrainians into cannon fodder for the neocons.

Evidently, private videos of Glenn Greenwald in intimate settings are circulating on the Internet.
I don’t like Greenwald, I think he is a moron.
Having said that, I feel bad for him and his family that this happened. Nobody needs to go through this kind of thing.
But frankly, if you are a public figure, especially a controversial one, do NOT record yourself in compromising situations, you run enough risk as it is of being filmed unknowingly as it is.

Bunu’s racist scumbag hero shut of graduation ceremonies at MIT.
“Jewish students stormed out of their graduation ceremony Thursday after a Massachusetts Institute of Technology commencement speaker accused the prestigious institution of supporting the erasure of “Palestine from the face of the Earth.”
Megha M. Vemuri, president of the Class of 2025, sparked a mixture of boos and cheers as she started her controversial speech praising her classmates for protesting Israel immediately after Hamas launched a deadly terrorist attack on the Jewish state on Oct. 7, 2023.
Vemuri’s contentious remarks led to her being barred from attending Friday’s undergraduate ceremony, an MIT spokesperson told Fox News Digital, noting that the speech she delivered was not the version submitted in advance to university officials.
“MIT supports free expression but stands by its decision, which was in response to the individual deliberately and repeatedly misleading Commencement organizers and leading a protest from the stage, disrupting an important Institute ceremony,” the university said in a statement.
One Israeli graduate told the outlet that all the Jewish families — “not only the Israelis” — walked out of what was supposed to be a happy occasion.
“All of our families came from far to see the ceremony and were extremely disappointed,” the disheartened grad said.”
