  8. President Donald Trump‘s approval rating rebounded as his tariff sparked terror has subsided and he concludes a successful trip to the Middle East.

DailyMail.com’s Trump tracking poll, conducted with J.L. Partners, shows his approval rating now at 50 percent.

It is up five points from 45 percent result at the end of his first 100 days over two weeks ago, his lowest point in his second term to date.

Trump’s approval numbers improved in most political demographics, but the president still struggles to win over some more pessimistic Independents.

Among voters 18-29, his approval rating has jumped six points from the previous poll, which demonstrated support from young people falling precipitously by double digits.

His support among men has jumped to 58 percent, up seven points and his support ticked up among women by two points to 42 percent.

The poll was conducted May 13–14 among a sample of 1,003 registered voters with a 3.1 percent margin of error

  23. The following story describes the overreach and brutality of the FBI following the aftermath of J6. No where in my lifetime have people, except before the Civil Rights Movement, been treated with such arbitrary harshness.

”Chris Kuehne is a 22-year veteran who received numerous medals and awards, including the Purple Heart, a Navy Commendation Medal with Valor, and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Valor for actions in combat.

On January 6, 2021, Chris went inside the Capitol but did not cause any harm or damage – in fact he cleaned trash off the floor, helped to stop theft of government property, asked people to leave the building, and went up to Capitol Police Officers to ask how he could help. Chris was also set-up by an FBI operative that day. Chris committed no violence and did nothing wrong.

One month later, in the early morning of February 11, 2021 Chris, his four-year-old child, and his wife Annette, who was pregnant at the time were awakened to sirens, cell phone rings, and bursts of colorful lights reflecting through our windows.

Annette later went public about the raid, “The FBI instructed Chris to come outside immediately. Our 4-year-old was awakened from the chaos, and I picked him up and ran downstairs to open the front door. Our house, street and neighboring streets were completely surrounded by armed FBI and law enforcement. It was a scene that we see so many times in the movies, but now it was here at my house! There were three large armored tactical vehicles parked on my front, side and back yard, and police vehicles that extended throughout the entire community. I open the door, and for a second, I didn’t realize that there were about twenty FBI SWAT Team members with semi-automatic rifles pointed at my son and I. We were covered by the bright red lasers pointed at our faces, chests, and various points on our bodies.”

Nobody is grandstanding. The BBB is a business-as-usual bloated congressional appropriation. It contains almost nothing of the cuts that the Doge work showed should be made.

The Republican reps have, as usual, stuffed the appropriation bill with perks and favors for their constituents. Where is the elimination of the Education department, the reduction in fraud in Social Security and other government payments? Where is the permanent reduction in the size and scope of government?

Why has the GOP raised the SALT tax-credit limit? This is just a giveaway to high income tax payers, especially those in blue states.

The time to cut spending is when appropriations bills are put together and passed. The Republicans in the committees have failed.

janzam still making excuses for violent rioters who attacked police officers, destroyed public property and stole private and public property.

These people were not “patriots”, they were criminals engaging in criminal activity who deserved to go to jail for it.

No amount of “orchestration”, “entrapment”, blah blah blah changes that. The fact people were overcharged, oversentenced and many were abused by agenda driven prosecutors and judges does not change that.

If you are “invited” to commit crimes and you commit crimes, you are still a criminal.

Every violent and criminal J6 rioter know exactly what they were doing and knew exactly they should be responsible for their own actions.

These people should have been charged with trespassing and subject to fines, not prison.
