🚨 #BREAKING: JUDGE BLOCKS part of Trump’s executive order requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration nationwide – AP
We are now at the point, over the past 24 hours, where it would take almost more than one hand to count the judicial orders blocking aspects of his agenda.
Soon Chi will admit that Trump is the entire government. Otherwise, he will have to admit that the next Democrat President can do whatever he or she wants, too.
I will let SCOTUS deal with those judges. The Cult believes only in the Law of Trump.
There was a Babylon Bee article, saying how President Trump gave up the Presidency to become a District Court judge……….can someone please explain it to Bitterlaw??
Bitter said….”So you will be supporting President AOC fully and saying nothing she does can be challenged in court. Got it.”
Hell no. As someone who does not believe in unilateral disarmament, I’d say do the same damn thing as them.
When you start whining about how the judicial process has become cheapened, look first at those who couldn’t care less when the problem began. Start with the mirror.
The Chief Justice has disastrously failed to supervise activist judges on lower courts. Not only have these judicial saboteurs created a constitutional crisis with the presidency, they have created a crisis of public confidence in the federal judiciary. Congress must act now.
Bitter, I see these judges as acting politically, not judicially. So I don’t have a problem with them testifying about it in front of Congress. I know you don’t like that, but that’s one idea.
One more political thought would focus on ex parte communications; I’ve read that this is fairly common in selecting judges for these emergencies. I would have them testify to Congress about it.
I would also hold hearings regarding the process in which cases are assigned. They’re supposed to be random, but it seems the quarter lands on heads an awful lot.
I would also return to requiring a 3 judge panel to permanently enjoin Executive action. If the President’s actions are egregious, that should be hard to do.
I’d also toss the nationwide TRO.
These things (and others I can’t remember right now) might make judges wary about being purely political.
I would fervently hope that Roberts would see and curb these abuses because it would be less divisive. I’m not as hopeful as you about that.
But, imo, you can’t have a situation where one President is allowed to illegally bring in millions of people and judges prevent the next President from deporting them. The legal system can’t deal with those numbers.
Let's elaborate. The courts have long held that either the President or a court can order removal of foreign enemies — enemies either pursuant to a declared war or a Presidential proclamation of a "predatory incursion." 50 U.S.C. s. 21 authorizes the President to issue an order… https://t.co/ZH5PrBgXyR
I am finding these incessant, non-ending judicial rebukes of Trump’s EOs and policies to be not only discouraging, but also lowers my respect for the courts in general. They no longer seem like apolitical officials whose job is to act as non-partisan referees in interpreting the constitutional authority of elected office holders. The latest rash of TROs seem to be nothing more than decisions weighted to oppose Trump, having little to do with justice, constitutional guard rails or jurists neutrality.
”The Democrats’ MO, going back at least to Obama, is to engineer (or at least take advantage of) a crisis. They then permanently lock in their political gains by using the courts to thwart the will of the people.
It’s easy to illegally let in 10 million “migrants” and lavish them with taxpayer money. It’s impossible to undo the damage when the courts insist that illegal government actions can only be undone if the new government submits to unprecedented court scrutiny and control.”

Wait, is Jason saying that he didn’t acknowledge Crimea would not be part of a peace deal? Perhaps he can explain his previous thinking and how it has “evolved”.
I am glad Chicon brought this up.
Has he answered my question yet?
Was Trump wrong?
“The United States calls on Russia to respect the principles to which it has long claimed to adhere and to end its occupation of Crimea. As democratic states seek to build a free, just and prosperous world, we must uphold our commitment to the international principle of sovereign equality and respect the territorial integrity of other states. Through its actions, Russia has acted in a manner unworthy of a great nation and has chosen to isolate itself from the international community.
Bitter and Jason were probably part of the nuclear unilateral disarmament crowd in the 70’s/80’s. They used to say the US should just lead the way by getting of all the nukes because they’re bad weapons nobody should have or use. The right would say that would be suicide; you can’t get them to give up theirs by just asking politely.
Their approach to lawfare against Trump personally and as President is to do nothing. As if that will somehow get the Left to lay down their arms next time.
Wait, is Jason saying that he didn’t acknowledge Crimea would not be part of a peace deal? Perhaps he can explain his previous thinking and how it has “evolved”.”
My view here has been clear and has not evolved. The occupation of Crimea is illegal and in a just world the US and Europe would fund Ukraine with whatever it took to expel the Russians from every square inch of sovereign Ukrainian territory, which includes Crimea. That would be my preference going forward, punish the Russians enough on the battlefield so that staying in Ukraine is politically, militarily and economically unfeasible for Putin.
We don’t live in a just world, so I said an acceptable compromise that might end the war was a cease fire where Russia keeps Crimea and part of what they gained after the war started (but not all, they would have to retreat from most of it) in exchange for security guarantees for Ukraine so the Russians would not just invade next time they felt like it.
I think this outcome is a victory for Putin and defeat for Ukraine, the US, and the West. We are rewarding Putin for his invasion and subsequent war crimes. Putin will not forget it.
But considering that Trump and Vance don’t really want to support Ukraine, it might be what is possible.
Bitter and Jason were probably part of the nuclear unilateral disarmament crowd in the 70’s/80’s.
Zzzzzzzzz What happened to me being a warmonger? I supported what Reagan did – spend the Soviet Union into collapse with the U.S. military buildup. Reagan also believed in a strong NATO, unlike Trump who bows to Putin.

One of my favorite bumper stickers for that time was “Freeze now, fry later”. The unilateral disarmament crowd at that time were idiots. Reagan was right “trust, but verify”.

Zzzzz… nobody opposed the lawfare against Trump here than I did. Nobody. I remember when JeffP went wobbly and declared the bogus indictments were “credible” or whatever word he used, I pegged him for his stupid TDS here for months.
But these cases are over. Not sure what Chicon thinks should be done now. Retribution of some sort?
Now if he means lawfare as the TROs, nobody here advocates doing “nothing”. The cases should be appealed. Congress or SCOTUS should limit the scope of decisions by district judges.
But ignore judicial orders? No. Impeach judges you disagree with? No.
“The Biden regime’s illegal invasion is real. And while President Trump works to end it, the left’s activist judges are working overtime to block all serious efforts to stop it. We’ve reached the point now where MS-13 gangbangers are treated like victims, and Americans who demand security are smeared as “extremists” and “racists.” Our judicial system has been hijacked to protect illegals, not American citizens—and now, more people are asking the question: what can President Trump legally do to stop it.
Well, here’s the good news. He has a mighty weapon at his disposal: Habeas Corpus.”
On a more serious note, they need to fast track appeals of these lower judges to higher court on a lot of these key cases. Should be decided by higher court in matter of a day or two.
Looks like the ACLU lied to the courts. There are steps for removing the illegal criminal under APE. Notices given in Spanish, etc. steps for removal appear more generous than Title 8, Expedited Removals.
Does anyone have any cite for stats on how many vehicle accidents are caused by illegal aliens drivers, or drivers from other countries who cannot speak ‘English?
I have heard long reports about this problem discussed by National truck drivers groups.

No doubt negatively impacts everyone’s car insurance payments and costs as well….
Radio news this morning said three young guys from Belgium have been arrested in South AFrica (I think that is the country the radio said). They were staying at a B&B in that country and had in their possession 5,400 ants.
The authorities said it is against the law to traffic ants collected there. The authorities said that people are taking the ants from there and selling them to people in Asia and elsewhere as PETS, or to put in ant colony boxes to watch them tunnel and do ant things. They authorities said it was about $9,700 worth of ants–and this trafficking of their ants has become a big problem there.
MY IMMEDIATE question was “How did these boys think they were going to get 5,400 ants through customs?”
