  4. Good guess; I’d have probably needed a shipwreck or two in the sand to make that connection.

  6. I have no idea how he guessed that. The knee-jerk reaction is to say Arizona, given the desert look to the landscape. But you can also see that it would not pass coding standards here in America to have a building so close to a limited access freeway like that.

  7. Bill needs to explain how he did that. I would never have gotten that one.

  8. I didn’t look at it closely because it had already been answered, but one clue is that you can see that traffic moves in the opposite direction, so that really limits how many countries do it the British way and ALSO have a sandy desert topography.

  9. That would have been my search cue, and when you pull this up, Namibia is the ONLY country that makes sense; I’ve seen the Australian desert, its look different, and Rhodesia (or whatever the heck they call it now) does not have that type of sandy desert, more Serengeti style Savannah.

  20. Some good news, for a change, coming from S CA.

    • A new deep-sea desalination technology is undergoing testing in Southern California. Water managers hope it will offer an economical and environmentally friendly way of tapping the Pacific Ocean for fresh water.
    • The CEO of the company that developed the technology calls it a moonshot to revolutionize how California — and the world — can transform seawater into drinking water.
    • If the system proves viable, the company plans to build what it calls a water farm anchored to the ocean floor several miles off the coast of Malibu.

NEW: Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says he sold 1000 immigration Gold Cards (priced at $5M each) in one day this week. The development means $5 Billion was made to help pay off the national debt. “There are 37,000,000 people in the world who are capable of buying the card… The president thinks we can sell a million.” Lutnick says Trump got the idea to sell a Gold Card during a meeting he had with investor John Paulson.

It’s crazy: 98% of diabetics could be cured in 24 hours! But no, Big Pharma would rather trap millions in a lifetime of meds like metformin and insulin.

All to keep their profits rolling in. Disgusting, right?

  32. Sorry about the hit and run on the picture. I had to leave the office early and just turned my computer back on a minute or so ago.

This was my process. I saw people driving on the left side of the road, so I figured – not the US. I then looked up ‘Four Season Sign’ company and saw that there was one in Namibia. I checked and found out that they do, indeed, drive on the left in Namibia, so I made my guess.

    Almost pure luck.

What I would like is a better structured immigration program that would incentivize legal vs illegal immigration. I would also like to see more work permits allowing migrant workers to come here temporarily for agricultural work. Additionally, I think those renewing their DACA status, have worked and paid taxes with no criminal record, should be granted a green card and pathway to citizenship.

The US could easily feed 100 million new residents just by putting idle farm land into production. I’m not sure what they would do for jobs, but I’m sure we could figure it out eventually. The US has never had any problem finding productive activities for our immigrants – both legal and illegal. (Of course, if each of the 37 million people brought at least $5 million, they could employ themselves.)

  40. Bitter, there was no link to open. It was a comment posted on X. Tantalizing but not authenticated. I do think there will be a cure – if not one already – however, lots of money is made off of insulin and that will not incentivize pharma from cooperating with a cure.
