winners also correct the wrongs of the past- particularly if we have to live with the consequences of those decisions in the current. This is an interesting move by Trump. He obviously knows autopen usage is legal. However, he also knows that Brain dead Biden didn’t make those decisions. In order for them to remain, brain dead Biden and his administration will have to defend them and insist Brain dead Biden was fully aware and consented to each. Imagine having to defend cop killers, child molesters and some of those other ridiculous pardons. It’s a win win for Trump. Even if the courts ultimately disagree, making the Dems defend those decisions will kill them publicly. That’s a winning strategy and move to me.
So the next Dem President should void all of Trump’s pardons from 2017-2021 and 2025-2029? If that is what you want, own it.
In case you did not notice, Trump has from now until the midterms to accomplish major parts of his agenda. After that, who knows? So wasting time and effort on his enemies seems counterproductive. But you seem to want that strategy.

NEW: Judge Boasberg, who tried to get Trump’s recent criminal deportation flights to “turn around” mid-air, attended Trump’s criminal court proceedings in 2023 – CBS
Bitterlaw-Trump is only voiding or challenging those pardons that were signed with autopen. I like it. That takes no time away from him going after his agenda.
With regard to EO’s he should state the law that supports it, which he is doing, and in addition the SC case/ruling that allows it. He should then state that any ruling that does not comply with the SC ruling/case will be ignored.
REPORT: Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller secretly orchestrated the Venezuelan gang members’ flights to El Salvador to get the criminals out of the country before an activist judge could take action. Brilliant. According to Axios, the Trump administration *ignored* the court order demanding that two planes filled with Venezuelan gang members turn around. The Trump administration says the flights were already over international waters, therefore the ruling didn’t matter. “Miller ‘orchestrated’ the process in the West Wing in tandem with Homeland Security Secretary Kristy Noem. Few outside their teams knew what was happening,” Axios reported. A senior White House official told Axios that the Trump admin is looking forward to winning the case at the Supreme Court. “This is headed to the Supreme Court. And we’re going to win.”
Doesn’t matter if he was incompetent or not. Signing another persons name without their knowledge or consent is fraud. It is not wasting a minute of Trumps time.
Yep, that is the key. He has not been declared incompetent and the argument that “he didn’t know what he was signing” can be easily countered by his own statement saying yes that was my intention.
When the next Dem president comes up with a bogus reason to void Trump’s pardons let’s see if those that are excited by this BS will be onboard.
Why wou,d judge bozo even issue a tro on a future rule change? The illegals were declared to be terrorists. Does the judge bozo know that usc code permits removal?
Why would a judge purposely break Federal law and grant rights to 5 unnamed illegals?
BREAKING: Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) now demands investigations into Biden’s pardons of Adam Kinzinger, Liz Cheney and other J6 committee members declared null and void by Trump over the use of auto pen. “Now that we know that their pardons were illegitimately signed by autopen, rendering them legally invalid, an investigation into the actions of every single committee member should be launched immediately!”
The best way to prove all the Dems’ attack ads that Trump was only running for retribution and had an enemies list is to do what Trump is doing. Brilliant.
Plaintiffs in a legal case against the U.S. government on March 17 urged a federal judge to seek answers from the government regarding compliance with President Donald Trump’s orders on deportation flights.
“Plaintiffs remain extremely concerned that … the government may have violated the Court’s command,” lawyers for Venezuelan immigrants told U.S. District Judge James Boasberg in a filing.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement over the weekend that the order from the judge “had no lawful basis” and that the order was also issued after gang member illegal immigrants had already been removed from U.S. territory.
“The Administration did not ’refuse to comply’ with a court order,” she said, adding later that “the written order and the Administration’s actions do not conflict.”
Leavitt also said that judges do not have jurisdiction over the president’s usage of the Alien Enemies Act or the president’s conduct of foreign affairs.
“A single judge in a single city cannot direct the movements of an aircraft … full of foreign alien terrorists who were physically expelled from U.S. soil,” she said.
Under pressure by the media, Biden DOJ finally charged J6 agitator Ray Epps in Sept 2023. Despite conduct that resulted in felony charges for other J6ers, Epps pleaded guilty to a single low-level disorderly conduct offense.
Biden DOJ recommended 6 months in prison–knowing he would never get it. Judge James Boasberg gave him 12 months’ probation while sympathizing with Epps. “While many defendants have been vilified in a way unique to Jan. 6, you seem to be the first to have suffered for what you didn’t do. You were hounded out of your home. You were hounded out of your town,” Boasberg said at sentencing. Boasberg also claimed Epps “had to live like a fugitive because of lies others spread.”
Bitterlaw – the issue about voiding pardons is only an issue because the former President, Joe Biden, is probably unaware of 90% of the pardons he made, because of the use of the autopen. Either Biden will say that he knows about each pardon, and if so, he will have to defend it, as will the Democratic Party, or he will say that he doesn’t know about a specific pardon, and maybe it would become null and void. As for Trump’s pardons, I bet you he could explain each one that he granted, so there is ZERO chance his would be voided or even become an issue.
There is no downside on calling out the ridiculous numbers of pardons, and there is no downside to having the American public see the details about a lot of them, which they most likely did not hear about in December and January.
Either Biden will say that he knows about each pardon, and if so, he will have to defend it, as will the Democratic Party, or he will say that he doesn’t know about a specific pardon, and maybe it would become null and void.”
Zzzzz….
He doesn’t have to “defend” a damm thing.
There is nothing in the Constitution that says the pardons need to be “explained”.
There is no downside on calling out the ridiculous numbers of pardons, and there is no downside to having the American public see the details about a lot of them, which they most likely did not hear about in December and January”
The downside is it is a waste of time. The American public has no say on any of the pardons. They have a say on who they elect as President. That’s it.
There is also no requirement for Presidents to explain or require approval for pardons. Auto signatures are valid. Do you think that a person hand signs all the tax refund checks every year?
“But the reality is, there’s good policy here, and it’s popular too. Like, think about Project 2025. This summer, Project 2025, which is basically all this stuff Trump is doing, right? Disassembling the Department of Education. Ending the national oceanic, you know the weather.”
If pardons are auto-signed without a president’s knowledge, or his understanding about who the pardons are going to, it may become an issue of illegality.
The illegal aliens (Venezuelans) were not picked up because of this act. Trump should not announce anymore removals. Just remove and announce after the fact.
If pardons are auto-signed without a president’s knowledge, or his understanding about who the pardons are going to, it may become an issue of illegality.”
Making Biden and Democrats defend their decisions to pardon child molesters, embezzlers of public monies, family members and congressional representatives/aides not convicted of anything is a bad idea.
Bitterlaw – Trump is using the issue about the autopen to make several different points about Biden’s tenure as President plus the ridiculous numbers and nature of his pardons
The legality of it all also should be decided as well. I was not aware that any President made use of an autopen for such unique occurrences and powers.
I see both sides of the argument, Autopens are perfectly legal. They are also meant to be used when signing/authoring hundreds and f not thousands or more of the same documents daily (like the IRS refund checks noted above; those are auto signed by direction of the executive).
Pardons are specific documents pertaining to specific individuals with details that go far beyond a simple tax refund. I don’t know what the answer is, but getting a firm opinion from SCOTUS (one way or the other) is never a bad thing, even if we don’t like the ruling, Certainly is far superior to nuance and gray areas.

Jan – What law requires an original signature on pardons?
My post had nothing to do with parsing original signatures. The question is if Biden consciously knew who he was pardoning, and was it a staff member making such decisions and not the president. If Biden was the one making these decisions then these pardons are legit. This question was raised by an attorney who had previously clerked for the SC.
In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime.
Following up to the report we saw last week about LA County Republicans adding 30-35000 new registrants, statewide, the party has netted 126,000 on the Dems. Only 4.6 million to go!
Without trying to read too many tea leaves (since we lack precinct data), LA County has about 1/4 of the state’s population, and roughly 1/4 of the new GOP registrations. Do we think it’s more likely that the party is adding voters proportionally around the state, or, aside from the fire fiasco nudging LA numbers a bit, that Republicans are doing better in their ancestral strongholds and SoCal swing areas?
In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime.“
LOL
Where did you read all this claptrap?
Even if it was true, there is no way to prove it.
Plus, I doubt Biden would not want to pardon ANY of the people he pardoned. Not one.
Sean Davis @seanmdav · 3h At this point, it’s probably necessary to remove any security clearances Boasberg has and investigate in-depth any financial ties he has to the foreign terrorist organizations at issue in this case.
As the DOJ letter notes, Boasberg—who was deeply involved in the Russiagate conspiracy to overthrow Trump—certified a foreign terrorist organization as a class for the sole purpose of blocking military action against it, and did so within minutes and without any evidentiary hearings.

Why? Why I subsidize California screwing you on your state taxes with my payment of my Federal taxes.

Again. How do you prove Biden, who was legally competent, did not know what he was doing if he says he did?

Maybe Republicans can wave the smoky shirt in the next election. “Democrats burned down your homes and businesses. Not our fault.”

Not one.

he question is if Biden consciously knew who he was pardoning, and was it a staff member making such decisions and not the president.”
Zzzzz….what a crock.
There was no diagnosis on Biden that he was incompetent. None. Zero. Zilch.
Without that you can’t claim anything about what he did “consciously”.
This is garbage being spoon fed like it is caviar for morons.

At this point, it’s probably necessary to remove any security clearances Boasberg has and investigate in-depth any financial ties he has to the foreign terrorist organizations at issue in this case.
As the DOJ letter notes, Boasberg—who was deeply involved in the Russiagate conspiracy to overthrow Trump—certified a foreign terrorist organization as a class for the sole purpose of blocking military action against it, and did so within minutes and without any evidentiary hearings.
