An incredible career. My top 2 movies for him are Mississippi Burning and Hoosiers. Crushing the Klan and letting Jimmy Chitwood take the last shot are quite a legacy.

I thought Hackman was great in The Quick and the Dead.
The Hack could play a jackarse very well. I thought he’d be perfect as Jason in HHR – The Movie. Oh, well…

Better night with pain. Therapy is hard as it is mostly forcing myself to get up without passing out and using the walker. Back at it today. Thanks for asking.

Bitter, nice job on pushing through the therapy. As I previously mentioned, a close friend had a tib/fib fracture with an erector set installed like yours. I went with her to followup appointments, and I recall the surgeon saying “your leg is successfully repaired, it is now up to you to get the most use of it by kicking arse in therapy.” This encouraged her because it gave her some control/ownership of the outcome.
This is a good time to apply the Polaris 30,000 foot view. In the moment the therapy sucked, in the long view it was worth it.

I am more concerned on who will portray Lupita in HHR – The Movie.
That white llama in the commercial last year could be a good candidate.
I will volunteer to write the script for the movie.
Opening scene should be dawn breaking over Amish farms in PA. It zeroes in on an isolated house where a man pushes away from a huge breakfast table and tells a woman churning butter that “It’s time to feed the llama”, and the camera follows him trudging to the barn as the sun begins to rise in the East.

I just watched Crimson Tide a few days ago. Hackman was great aside Denzel Washington. My favorite is as Sheriff Little Bill Daggett in Unforgiven. What an amazing movie. He was a national treasure.

I agree with the first part, not the second. Cabinet secretaries must have input on what happens to their departments
But going back to Congress is like asking them which military bases to close.
Everyone is in favor of closing bases outside their district, not any in their district.

Anticipating the increased costs of providing energy under the governor’s oppressive climate initiatives, companies like NYC’s main provider Consolidated Edison have proposed shocking rate hikes of 11.4% for electric services and 13.3% for gas – this would increase the average New Yorker’s energy bills by about $154 per month than what they paid in 2020.
Regardless of how its advocates try to sugar coat it, this new $3 billion per year tax will be paid by the people of New York. RIP Gene Hackman. One of the greatest actors of our time. Best movie-Hoosiers. Worst-Superman 2. But many, many great movies in between. Best older movie-The Gypsy Moths with Burt Lancaster. Most underrated movie(s)-the John Grisham movies-The Chamber and Runaway Jury.
Kevin Costner said Hackman was the greatest actor he ever worked with.
Investigations ongoing into the death of Hackman and his wife. Police said both were deceased at least a day.
