I actually think Vance, contrary to Kamala, who usually dug Biden a deeper hole, will be able to “clean up” after Trump effectively.
What happened during the campaign was that the MSM tried to “Sarah Palin” Vance, but he wasn’t having it. I still don’t think he earned Trump any votes, but he did what most VP nominees try to do, not cost the head of the ticket any votes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Walz didn’t cost Kamala some votes.
If Trump has a good Presidency, I think Vance will be hard to beat for the 2028 nomination. No, I won’t support him for the nomination if DeSantis runs, but he starts out as a strong favorite.
