Below are four separate quotes about Ronald Reagan’s belief he had been spared from the assassin’s bullet by God. It is clear Reagan had the same reaction as did Trump. Will Bitter also believe that Reagan was “arrogant”? It is easy for Bitter to believe Trump is an idiot for his belief he was spared by God. Will he also consider Reagan an idiot?

Both Trump and Reagan believed they were saved from assassination attempts for a higher purpose (which may well be true, I actually tend to agree). It doesn’t mean I think God is a Republican like ssq does, but I do believe things happen for a reason.
But does that means Trump = Reagan? No.

The J6 committee destroyed a large number of documents that could have been used in the J6ers’ defense, Brady material, that is.
So the defendants were denied all exculpatory evidence in preparation for trial and considering a guilty plea.
This violation of constitutional rights necessitated pardons.

Most J6 trials and convictions happened before the j6 committee destroyed any documents.
I think Trump was wrong to pardon violent J6 offenders, and wrong in not letting the AG review it case by case.
It is a horrible precedent that will one day come back to bite us, bet on it.

That is why a racist xenophobe scumbag like NYC doesn’t get a pass for opposing it.
You can bet the reasons he opposes it is for racist reasons.
The same reason that he thinks he is a better citizen than citizens not born here and why he thinks I should “go back to where I am from”.
There IS no legitimate reason not to accept people born in the US as citizens. I don’t care if the baby was born 5 minutes after the mother climbed over the wall. That baby should be as American as anyone here. That baby is as American as any direct descendant of people on the Mayflower.
If you want to restrict births by illegal foreign nationals the way to do it is to secure the border.

I think both memes are wrong.
You didn’t fail your niece. Despite reading every post you have written about her and her situation I have never seen a compelling argument that anything you did or didn’t do would have changed anything. Sometime model parents who do everything have children who are criminal and murderers. Sometime people in loving supporting families commit suicide anyway.
And why did Trump turn his head? Couldn’t that be the hand of God? Who are we to state otherwise?

I was listening to Julie Kelly this morning. She was reporting that J6 prisoners are being released from federal prisons all over the country. Many of these men and women (most having no criminal record) were imprisoned for minor infractions, for years along side hardcore people incarcerated for hardcore crimes. The DC “gulag” though is dragging their feet because of “paperwork having to be signed.” Unfortunately the select committee had the temerity to destroy taped testimonies and other evidence that had exculpatory information which would have benefited those being tried, erroneously sentenced and sadly imprisoned. It all seems that what happened to these J6ers are narratives belonging more in Russia or China jurisdictions, not in America. However, once covers are pulled, indecent political maneuvering is exposed, human right violations are tabulated, and prison abuses documented I hope accountability and shame will accompany this unacceptable slice of history.
