Yesterday, just a few days before a new administration, Joe’s FDA decided to ban red dye #3. It had been banned in makeup several decades ago, but remains ok to eat. I pointed this out this unusual discrepancy to The Ostriches a few weeks ago, and they reacted, well, like Ostriches.
Today, the FBI decided to shutter it’s DEI unit. Another case of interesting timing. I’m sure the Ostriches will find their heads in the sand again.

The government screws up a lot of things. That does not prove there is a Deep State. In fact, your post proves there isn’t. You think the same people who are screwing up the government can also conduct an all powerful secret cabal? Which is also terrible at being secret?
I expect Trump to be better than Biden. Pretty low bar. Trumo was a good but not great President. If I agree with him, I will say it. When I don’t, I will say that, too. I don’t expect him to change my life. That is why I will never be in the Cult.

Can’t even entertain the question of why a substance can be in the food you eat, but isn’t allowed in skin cream or makeup. That’s no surprise, and illustrates Ostrich behavior.
Also, RFK is gonna tell people what to eat? Right. Trump loves Diet Coke, McDonald’s, and pizza; and RFK is gonna tell people what to eat. Sounds like logic from The View.

talk about living on Soda….welcome to my world, especially when travelling overseas. At least I have an idea of what I am drinking…whereas when I am offered a glass of water in a country where 6% of the people have electricity and Ebola was prevalent, I politely decline.
BTW – I know nothing about red dye #3, or why it was used, and why it was banned, so I can’t comment on whether this is good or bad.

I have been a diabetic for 42 years. I have never followed a diet, counted carbs or calories or looked at labels. If my blood sugar is high I take more insulin. Low? I drink soda. I am not going to listen to a flaming liberal environmental lawyer on what to eat.
Personally, I like medications and antibiotics. I like pesticides and preservatives so my food doesn’t rot.

Somebody please help me here. Wasn’t red dye #40 banned in the US about 50 years ago? Is there any relationship to red dye #3? An old professor on mine in my college days in product marketing said that red dye #40 was banned in the US because of ‘cancerous’ cells found in M and M candy back then.

Isn’t it strange how it seemed to take a while for the helicopters and airplanes to start fighting the Palisades fire, especially when it was a red flag day and they had been preparing for it ahead of time? This is the news about 40 minutes after the fire started saying that they couldn’t fly their helicopter near the fire because it was restricted air space. Biden was in town to see his granddaughter give birth, which ended up happening the following day. We will probably never know if the fire response was delayed was because of Biden, but it looks possible. Seemed very strange that they wouldn’t have been all over that fire in the first hour.

Trump and a Republican Congress should be able to make sure he sticks to doing what he also says he wants to do – open up all avenues of information so that citizens, aka consumers, know what they are putting into their body.

I am saying I do not care what goes into my food and medicine. If something I eat tastes good but there is a chemical in it that might cause cancer, I am still going to eat it rather than a cancer free alternative that does not taste the same.

Regarding the medicines, in particular legacy or long term ones, I think we need to ensure that we don’t encounter any shortages. So, we need to ensure that they are produced here and not by the Ccp.
