Trump has been bought for $1 billion by Big Oil. Just a payoff to kill the IRA and the Green New Deal. We know what will happen. More fires, more climate disasters, more death. The LA fires are preview of coming atrocities.
Not sure what IRA he is talking about. The terrorists in Ireland or my investment account.
DEI and wokism is no longer just a nuisance. It is actually causing death and destruction.
What caused the dry fire hydrants? The new CEO of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Janisse Quiñones, told reporters on Wednesday that there was just too much demand on the system.
Quiñones was hired by Bass in April to run the city-owned LADWP at the eye-popping salary of $750,000 plus a housing allowance. She “has the skill set and leadership experience to advance the department into 100% clean energy by 2035,” the mayor said at the time.
“It’s important to me that everything we do, it’s with an equity lens and social justice,” Quiñones told a radio host in July, “and making sure we right the wrongs that we’ve done in the past from an infrastructure perspective.”
Even the terrorists got tired in Ireland. They probably just sit and drink Guinness now and tell stories- “Remember that hunger strike? What were we thinking?”
Before you go full conspiracy theory on the fires, consider that having the wrong leaders with the wrong priorities gets you everything we are witnessing this week. If no one had predicted DEI leads to total system collapse, maybe you could rule it out. But as I often say, the closest we can get to understanding our reality is making accurate predictions. DEI system collapse was easy to predict. As I and many others did.

LA’s $750,000-a-year water chief who allegedly oversaw the emptying of the Santa Ynez Reservoir, previously said the “number one” thing she cared about in her role was “equity.” No wonder why LA is burning. Every leader is a DEI hire
“During a recent podcast, Janisse Quiñones, who was hired by Mayor Karen Bass in May, said that everything she does needs to be done with an “equity lens.” “It’s important to me that everything we do is with an equity lens and social justice and making sure that we right the wrongs that we’ve done in the past.” The Daily Mail now reports that since Quiñones was hired at LADWP, she took the reservoir offline to “repair a tear” and ignored broken fire hydrants.”
JD Vance says….”I think it’s very simple. Look, if you protested peacefully on January the 6th and you’ve had Merrick Garland’s DOJ treat you like a gang member, you should be pardoned. If you committed violence on that day, obviously, you shouldn’t be pardoned….”
“You’ve had Merrick Garland’s DOJ treat you like a gang member, you should be pardoned. If you committed violence on that day, obviously, you shouldn’t be pardoned…”
Sounds good to me, I am glad JD is following my advice.
The Delta smelt is a tiny fish that environmentalists claimed was an indicator of the health of your ecosystem. The argument was that low populations of Delta smelt meant you were in trouble – but after years of allowing water to run into the ocean , there was no significant change & essentially it meant farmers were denied water they paid for – for NO GOOD REASON.
I need a fact-check on my current assumptions about rebuilding after the fire: 1. It can take years to get anything approved in normal times in California. The backlog from the fire could push it out a decade. 2. The cost of building a custom home in California is roughly double the market value of the home when done. 3. The new home will get a property tax step-up to become unaffordable for anyone who owned the original home for a decade or more. 4. The fire risk will return once everything regrows, and insurance companies will not come back. Here I assume continued state incompetence. 5. There are not enough qualified builders to rebuild. 6. Owners would be rebuilding in the midst of unchecked and growing crime.
Nice Gateway link, Tina, to Neo Newsom’s Meet The Press interview this morning. Loved how he ultra praised Biden, saying nothing how his visit to LA restricted air flights around the burning areas.
“Dear Democrat Judge Juan Merchan: Q. If you really believe President Trump is a 34-time felon, why aren’t you sentencing him to prison?” asked Mike Davis, an attorney and founder of the legal reform group Article III Project. “A. Because you know this was Democrat lawfare and…
Vance’s quote regarding the pardons for the Jan 6 folks not only was exactly correct, but is exactly what President-elect Trump said all last week. No MAGA person is attacking either of them.
Patel was right about Merchan’s daughter. He should STFU until he is confirmed. Both can be (and are) true.
“The waste of life in this conflict is exponentially larger than the public has been told. In December of 2024, President Zelensky claimed that only 43,000 of his nation’s troops had been killed in the war so far.
In truth, upwards of 600,000 Ukrainian soldiers have likely died. On paper, the Ukrainian army is over one million strong. But across the line, foxholes are empty. Where are all the soldiers?
Russia has likely lost at least 100,000 soldiers KIA as well, though they haven’t released any specific numbers.
When the truth about this war comes out, it will shock anyone who is still paying attention at that point.”
Overall, good comments here. However, I am not sure what he means by garbage trial. All j6 trials resulted in convictions. Are all trials then garbage? No jury of your peers?
First of all, I donated to the to the J6 political prisoner fund and got ROASTED for it during my senate race. I’ve been defending these guys for years. Second, there were federal informants in the crowd. Do they get a pardon? I don’t think so. The president saying he’ll look at each case (and me saying the same) is not some walkback. I assure you, we care about people unjustly locked up. Yes, that includes people provoked and it includes people who got a garbage trial.
baseball player compensation could be really easy for position players. Pay them every month during the season, and just take the batting average, drop off the leading decimal point, and add three zeros to the end. So if you batted .285 for the month you get paid $285,000. Then for every fielding error, lop off $10,000.
Girls won 28-18 despite not having 3 starters today. Boys had a big lead in 1st quarter but ended up losing by 3. Both teams are 1-1 to start the season.
