Snow! Not sure how much we will get. That’s what I have for today.

My wife could sure use Bitter’s fancy $5000 Radnor Limited Edition snow blower right now. She is not in a good mood, I was trying to be helpful by pointing out some patches she missed when shoveling but she indicated with a rude gesture she didn’t appreciate my help.

And Bitter claims nothing ever happens in York.

Don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging, when the investigation is complete I will post the results.

“YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are investigating a Saturday night crash in which a car reportedly struck a York County mechanic shop.

According to an officer of the York County Regional Police Department, on Saturday, January 4 at around 10:40 p.m., a car crashed into Mastertech Automotive on 2746 South Queen Street.”

Ukraine cuts off Russia’s last pipeline to Europe, essentially ending Europe’s long standing dependence on Russia for energy.

    HHR Putinistas hardest hit.

    From Instapundit:

Claims that Asia could replace Europe as Russia’s primary gas market ignore several crucial realities. The Asian market remains a distinctly inferior alternative, even as a stopgap measure. Several factors make this evident:Logistics heavily favor Europe – most existing infrastructure points westward, making European delivery both cheaper and faster than Asian alternatives.European market dynamics historically yielded higher prices, as competition and environmental regulations made Russian imports particularly attractive.Russia’s self-inflicted reputation damage through political manipulation and warfare has severely limited its negotiating position for long-term contracts in both Europe and Asia.Asia enjoys abundant alternatives with shorter supply routes – China, the prime potential customer for Russian gas, has diverse options from Qatar to Turkmenistan, Iran to Southeast Asia and Africa.

Heckuva job, Vlad, losing gas revenue Moscow had enjoyed even during some of the tensest years of the Cold War.

I am sorry this is happening to the Putinistas.

“This shift represents a profound political and economic setback for Putin’s Russia. The implications are far-reaching:

    • The financial impact of losing the European market will significantly reduce foreign currency earnings and exacerbate budget deficits
    • Russia has surrendered one of its primary tools for influencing European politics through corruption – explaining the anxious reactions from figures like Fico and Orbán
    • Europe’s aggressive pursuit of alternatives, from American LNG to Norwegian and Algerian supplies, makes Russia’s return to the market improbable even after the war

This situation perfectly exemplifies how Putin sacrificed a crucial instrument of economic stability – originally designed to sustain the USSR and later Russia – for short-sighted political and military adventures. It stands as testament to his place among Russia’s most strategically inept leaders, rivaling the missteps of Nicholas II.”

Polievre, hopefully the next Canadian PM:

“First they were communists, and then they became socialist, and then they became social democrats, and then they became — they stole the word liberal, and then they ruined that word. They changed their name to progressives, and then they changed their name to woke. And now they claim they don’t want to be called woke anymore,” he said

Yep, that is why I always call Marxists Marxists, I don’t care what THEY call themselves.

A look back on a day turned into infamy by the Dems in order to retain their progressive power. The prosecuting DA, in the meantime, is continuing to hunt down and arrest J6 civilians right up until he leaves office this month.

  12. If Democrats do the exact things today that were done on 1/6/2021, Jan would demand firing squads.

It was not an insurrection. It was a riot. Many were overcharged and oversentenced. Review the cases on an individual basis. No blanket pardons or commutations.

‘GOD BLESS THE TRUCKERS’: Scott Jennings says the Canada truckers who protested Justin Trudeau’s draconian COVID policies are the real winners amid the PM’s incoming resignation. “There’s a direct line from those truckers to what’s happening today [to Trudeau]. Good riddance.”

  16. If the exact same scenario occurred, with Dems protesting real fraud (having thousands of civilian affidavits swearing having personally witnessed it) in a presidential election, and were judicially mistreated like the current J6ers have been, my sentiments and advocacy would be the same. Injustice is injustice, having nothing to do with party affiliation.

  20. Of course you don’t believe me Bitter. You rarely believe anyone who doesn’t either agree with you regarding issues or policies, or who doesn’t fit into the pigeon-hole characteristics you frame them, in order to personally degrade them for having differing stances from your own. Consequently, those seeing the circumstances in Ukraine needing peace negotiations rather than more war are labeled Putin supporters. And, those seeing the J6 event as a political set-up, no matter which party was involved protesting a fraudulent election, is not to be believed. I guess the concept of justice being equally applied is just too much for your judgmental mind to wrap its head around.

The war in Ukraine will eventually end and benefit Putin. I expect Trump to F it up. Both can be true. Once he said he would resolve the war in 24 hours I knew he was not serious regarding Ukraine’s survival.

  25. An ex military man, Timothy Hale, went to DC in 2021, not to protest, but to hear Trump’s speech. He was caught up in the Capitol chaos, and after a slew of civil right violations sentenced to 4 years in prison. He served 3 of that 4-year sentence, one year being in solitary confinement. A few weeks ago his entire sentence was overturned. When asked what his main takeaway was from that protest his answer was how many people had infiltrated the protest to act as provocateurs, orchestrating an environment of entrapment – from Antifa, FBI agents, and others representing various Intel departments. Hale called it a “set up” just as I have. However, what he seeks is “exoneration” for the J6ers for all the injustices suffered by them in lost freedoms, time, businesses, families and so on. Eventually, when more details are exposed, I wonder how some will be able to explain their immediate condemnation of the J6ers, and/or lack of curiosity to know what was behind stalking people to indict and torment for 4 long years. Instead these same people’s sympathies and strong words seem to primarily stand behind injustices in Ukraine, rather than the ones experienced here by the American people.

Here is janzam’s alternate universe vision of what happened on j6.

“Thousands of peaceful rally attendees were walking around the Capitol enjoying the views and fresh air when half the evil Deep State government agents started attacking them and the other half started inviting them to smash through barriers, attack police officers with flagpoles and bear spray, break windows, destroy public property, and steal public property and private property.

The peaceful rally attendees, faced with being brutally attacked while at the same time being told to commit various crimes, were left with no alternative but to comply. “

Unlike both Bitter and Jason I read and look at a complete picture, not just the half that agrees with what I want to believe. Have you two ever heard or read testimonies from any of the J6ers – how they were kept in lengthy detention, how their misdemeanors were twisted, how fighting off Capitol police harming old women and children were written up as “attacking” them, how those removing barricades, unlocking Capitol doors, waving people inside, taunting people to go inside, or planting bombs were never identified, arrested or sentenced for anything. I actually feel sorry for the blinders you two wear.

  38. Tina, an analysis of crowd control and police tactics was done by outside police sources saying there were multiple mistakes made as well as brutality exhibited by the Capitol police dept, via video footage shown in an Epoch documentary. One of the more vocal J6ers, with no prior criminal record, is Jake Lang. He has been in the DC Gulag, called out for its inhuman conditions, for 4 years without a trial or bond. Those imprisoned for indefinite periods of time have been denied religious/medical services and the right to see a lawyer or their families. And, yet Jason and Bitter delight in mocking these political prisoners, rationalizing their punishments for the crime of protesting an election and going thru open doors of the people’s house.
