  1. The general consensus is that the Dems have few viable options to run in 2028. I have never voted for a Democrat and never will. 2 Questions.

    1. Who do you think can win the 2028 Democrat nomination?

    2. Is there any Democrat you could support in 2028?

    Like

  2. Kamala Harris got 75 million votes. That is terrifying to contemplate. She is the 2028 nominee if she wants it. As incompetent as she is, she can pretend to be whatever is needed to win the nomination. No doubt others will run, and there will be three or four far left loons who will cancel each other out. Then there will be a few Beshear types who will cancel each other out, and so Kamala will emerge as the comeback kid and win the nomination. The only candidate in the 2028 Dem primary who has been as high as veep.

I would never support a Democrat in 2028.

  3. I might see the percentages coming out of the DEM Iowa caucus this way:

    Harris 38%

    Newsom 9%

    West 1%

    AOC 3%

    Bowman 1%

    Whitmer 4%

    Walz 19%

    Cooper 5%

    Beshear 12%

    Shapiro 8%

Of course we don’t know who will run, and some of these names are merely representative of the kinds of people who typically run. But assuming Harris runs, this is what I would expect out of Iowa.

The Democrat party has gone so far left, there is no room for perceived moderates like Beshear, Shapiro or Cooper to make any headway, even if there was only one of them running in that slot.

#BREAKING: ABC must pay Trump $15 million, settles out of defamation lawsuit and will publicly apologize to Trump – Fox

Top anchor George Stephanopoulos had claimed Trump was “liable for r*aping” E. Jean Carroll, prompting Trump to bring the lawsuit. That statement was false.

ABC will also pay $1M to Trump for attorney fees.

  6. If Harris runs, she will get it. This time, because the Palestinian issue will be behind us (thanks to Trump’s full-throated support of Israel), she will pick Shapiro as her running mate…if he takes it. If he doesnt, she will pick Roy Cooper of NC.

There is not a democrat that is even talked about running that I would vote for.

I strongly support Vance in 2028 and the only potential GOP nominee that would cause me to vote for the Constitution party or write in someone else would be Haley…no Haleys, not now, not ever.

  7. IMO Kamala Harris’s chances to be the presidential nominee in 2028 are zero. She has burned too many political bridges and donors to make any kind of come back. Her high percentages only reflect a party’s inability to have any names available to attract enough voter support. If Harris does run for another public office it will most likely be for governor of CA (ugh).

Who do you see emerging then? On paper, I would tend to agree that historically, someone who has performed as poorly as Harris is going nowhere. Her career is over. But our current culture cannot be measured against past patterns with Wokeness and DEI here.

Dems have no bench partly because they pushed Tulsi Gabbard and the like out of the party. Even if Bashear or Shapiro ran and somehow got the nomination, either would be DOA in the general election because the loonies on the left would go nuts and run third party, and a loon would get 15% of the vote, dooming the democrat.

And so without being able to nominate a perceived moderate, and without being able to nominate a squad member or other loon, they are left with Harris, or maybe Walz. I am all ears to hear your list of prospects.

  15. I’ve been listening to a streamed J6 forum involving attorneys for J6ers, people imprisoned for J6 and recently released, family members, and active networks supporting the J6ers. I’ve heard personal stories of how minor charges were hardened into felonies, how abused J6 prisoners were while incarcerated, how standard police practices were not followed during the protest, how the prosecutions were faulty from the beginning, how prisoners were threatened if they talked to the media with being thrown into isolation or transferred to a maximum security prison having “real” terrorists to mingle with. Mind you, most of these people had no criminal records, many were war veterans or small business owners.

The attorney representing some of the defendants felt all J6ers should have their sentences commuted, followed by pardons. Mathew Graves, the DC prosecutor should be immediately replaced, and Lisa Monico and Merrick Garland – the top DOJ instigators of these injustices – should be investigated. This same attorney stressed J6 was a permitted, legal protest with no intention of overthrowing the government, and was improperly labeled an insurrection. The real purpose of the government, hunting down people for 4 years after the event, turning misdemeanors into felonies, making sure prison environments were harsh, refusing medical attention or having bibles (the Koran was permitted) was to crush the people, sending a message to never rebuke/protest elections or a government regime again.

  16. I do not think Harris will be the nominee, or even run. She will be 64, and had her backside handed to her. She’s going to have lost the general by more than 2M votes, no way she overcomes that.

The problem for the Dems is the primary. The “centrists” like Bashear, Shapiro, Cooper and there is someone from the Big Sky country Im missing, will cancel themselves out as the DNC gears the early primaries towards those states with large populations of people of color, then you have the Polis, Pritzker, Moore (MD), Booker, Whitmer, Grisham, Buttagig, Newsome, one of the Co Senators, maybe Warnock if he doesn’t lose in the next election, and do not count out shifty Schiff running, he is an egomaniac who thinks the people support him. That will be a battle of the Liberals. I don’t know what woman of color will run, I would not count out a run by Stacey Abrams (provided they close the Buffet in time).

It’s going to be a gaggle, and I don’t see how the “centrist” wing of the party wins, since women of color are pissed off their candidate didn’t win.

  23. Jason, you know little about the J6 event except what the legacy media reports. You haven’t listened to the side of people who were actually there, nor have you followed the time line of events. It was mainly the officers who attacked the crowd – one beat Rosanne Boyland to death when she was helpless on the ground. When a man intervened trying to take the night stick away, he was charged with “attacking” the officer. Another woman standing in the crowd outside miscarried when a flash grenade exploded near her. Capitol police, who said they had been injured, proved to have faked injuries after videos showed them to be uninjured. Just stop with inserting yourself into something that you have little knowledge of fueled by your big uninformed ego.

Repeating this canard over and over will get you kudos from Goebbels but it doesn’t pass the smell test.

There is no “like Trump” here.

Reagan was an influential conservative DECADES before he became President. He was a conservative in the corporate world. He was a 2 term conservative Governor of California. He campaigned as a conservative in 1976. He spent years touring and writing as a conservative. Not to mention the Democrat party he was associated in his youth was very different from the Dem party Trump supporte.

Trump was contributing to Chuck Schumer as late as 4 years before he became President, as well as to other Dems. He was never a spokesman for conservative causes, much to the contrary, most of his positions were associated with a Dem agenda.

So saying “they were both Dems who became Rs” without the appropriate context is intellectual dishonesty and attempt to use to use a correct fact to arrive at an incorrect conclusion.

  42. Just a comment here on Reagan. Sure, I voted for him. He was THE CHOICE in 1980 and again in 1984. The alternatives were unacceptable. Reagan was obviously a great communicator, a pragmatic, and offered an uncanny ability to compromise. But he did not walk on water.

His signing a bill that gave amnesty to 3 million illegals (1986 Immigration and Control Act) and then extended it ‘to another 100,000’ would fly over today.

Reagan raised the debt ceiling an astonishing 18 times. The Reagan Administration was basically silent about and during the AIDS epidemic. These are just a few of the issues that I had with Reagan. Again, I voted for Reagan, would do it all over again, but he did not walk on water.

Final note….every president has pro and cons. Some of the pros are overblown while some of the cons remain hidden….Lincoln, who is considered by many as the greatest POTUS had disturbing feelings about the black race in his many letters.

But he had a successful Presidency, despite all the attempts to derail it. He had some remarkable achievements, like SCOTUS judges, federal bench judges, energy independence, taxes, deregulation, employment including for minorities, anti-wokism, to name a few.

Against all odds, he has gotten himself elected again. Incredible resilience at his age. He has convinced half the country to vote for him against all odds. He is positioning himself for another successful Presidency, with a little luck needed of course.

    2. A bunch of Deep State agents, FBI plants, ATF agents, etc. started inviting the bystanders to come up into the Capitol.
    3. When they responded to the invitation, all of a sudden the agents started attacking the innocent bystanders with clubs, rubber bullets, pepper spray and some secret Deep State compounds.
    4. The bystanders then left peacefully but the agents started breaking windows and doors and after that they invaded the Capitol, broke into offices and the senate floor and stole private and public property.
    5. The innocent bystanders were then charged with crimes that were actually committed by the government agencies.

  90. o think that J6 was nothing more than a pre-planned set-up,”

    LOL

The rally was called for and organized by Trump. He told the attendees to go to the Capitol, albeit peacefully and patriotically.

Thousands of the attendees then broke through the barriers and police line and trespassed into the Capitol, destroyed public property, attacked police officers, and stole private and public property.

The people who say this was a pre-planned event are the Democrats.

And of course, it doesn’t matter if the “believed they were defending their country from a fraudulent election” that is no justification.

If that was a justification, we would have to give a free pass to the George Floyd rioters, I am sure they believed they were “defending the country from racism”.

    I oppose anyone unjustifiably imprisoned.

Not all the J6 rioters were unjustifiably imprisoned.

    Both can be true.

That was the point of view of the people who stayed outside. What was the point of view of the rioters?

  95. Looks like Trump is not going to be issuing a blanket pardon, but instead look at it case by case.

That is the right approach. I don’t think anyone who didn’t engage in violence, destruction or theft should have gotten more than a fine.

Have you decided yet whether you’re going to pardon all of the January 6 defendants?

    Yes.

You’re going to do all of them?

I’m going to do case-by-case, and if they were non-violent, I think they’ve been greatly punished. And the answer is I will be doing that, yeah, I’m going to look if there’s some that really were out of control.

So you will not include those who committed violent acts?

Well, we’re going to look at each individual case, and we’re going to do it very quickly, and it’s going to start in the first hour that I get into office. And a vast majority of them should not be in jail. A vast majority should not be in jail, and they’ve suffered gravely. And I say, why is it that in Portland and in many other places, Minneapolis, why is it that nothing happened with them and they actually caused death and destruction at levels not seen before? So you know, if you take a look at what happened in Seattle, you had people die, you had a lot of death, and nothing happened, and these people have been treated really, really badly. Yeah, it’s an important issue for me. They’ve suffered greatly, and in many cases they should not have suffered.

    Too many RINOS at 48.

Better whittle it down to about 25 purebred, 100% litmus tested, guaranteed to vote the same way 100% of the time.

No, they won’t have any impact on anything, but it will SEND A MESSAGE.
