  3. The discussion yesterday trying to make Trump into a conservative and McConnell into.a liberal was hilarious.

McConnell of course has ALWAYS been a principled Republican AND conservative for what, 50 years, while Trump borrowed the R label about 5 minutes ago in political terms and was never and will not ever be a conservative.

    Enough said.

There is no way Dems will ever lose an election that close, especially in CA.

The USA is 4% of the world’s population, and even if all the dire warnings were true, and 4% of the world’s population took action by ending all pollution, lived in caves and ate only grains, living off the land, it would never make any dent in what the rest of the 96% of the world’s population is doing.

Did the same in CA-45. R was up by thousands after election day, now down three weeks later

  16. Chicon, that is not retribution. It is needed. Election reform is needed. There is no way that 21 days after an election they are still “finding votes” and waiting until they find enough to steal an election

Hopefully the lady in Iowa withstands the inventible finding of votes, though she has an 800 vote lead which is going to be hard to overcome (last election she won by 6 votes!!!! Amazing that the Dems counted wrong) so well end up with 220…a one seat loss in the House, which of course will be touted by the left media as an R loss

Vic, I believe investigating and prosecuting those responsible for using the powers of the Justice Department for political purposes is also needed. Badly, imo.

The Democrats are clearly trying to knife Kamala so she can’t run again. That’s why they are revealing that she never led in the polls and why they let her do that drunk video last night

  19. Chicon. Maybe I wasn’t clear. I do believe that the government/Congress should use its investigative powers to look at these election irregularities and clearly loose standards of some states.

Limited Government doesn’t mean no government at all. We have 320M people (that we know of) in this country. To think we could just get rid of the Federal Government altogether is ignorant and dangerous.

    Zzzzz…

I thought Rs were against “federalizing” elections.

Nothing is going to happen to the way CA runs its elections. The only way that could happen is if Rs get a R governor and legislature, which I don’t seen happening any time soon.

    “Investigate” away.

Same with NV. It is less than a one party state than CA but even so the R governor has little power, the Dems have a supermajority, or at least did until this election.

  31. The election bill the Dems proposed, luckily killed because Sinema and Manchin refused to end the filibuster, would have pretty much ensured a one party state. It prohibited any type of voter ID or eligibility verification and instituted VBN nationally along with a federal holiday and a bunch of measures to ensure Dems could cheat at will.

Rs opposed it because it “federalized” elections, which constitutionally is supposed to be regulated by the states.

So when you advocate for the feds intervening in state run elections, the hypocrisy is evident.

In my view, the election rules must be up to the state legislatures, and violations addressed by the courts, not by congress or the executive branch.

Good, they could go live in the Aralkum Desert, which is the heavily polluted former lake bed, dotted with ships that sunk when it was the Aral Sea. The entire area is heavily polluted and toxic for humans that live there.

  33. According to wiki: “The sands of the Aralkum and the dust that originates from it contain pollutants. The desert’s location is on a powerful west–east airstream that carries its polluted dust around the globe. Aral dust has been found in the fields of Belarus, the forests of Norway, and in the glaciers of Greenland. Pesticides in the dust have been found in the blood of penguins in Antarctica.”

But somehow the UNITED STATES has to be to blame, and we, 4% of the worlds population, must take drastic action to stop environmental disaster.

  40. The Congress decides who it seats as its members in both houses. The equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment (passed by a Republican supermajority) opened the door for some Federal involvement in the elections process. States should also be free to run their own elections as they deem fit. That said, if they run their elections poorly, it affects the federal legislature as well as the executive branch by way of the Presidency. All this can be true in the same universe.

Ergo, the Feds can tell states in what manner the Feds expect their officials to be chosen. If individual states want a sh*t show to select their local officials, that’s their problem, and they are free to run their own brand of local elections by not pairing state and local races with the constitutionally mandated federal election on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November in even numbered years. This is not a liberal or conservative position, it’s plain common sense.
