I found a story that said the PA recount has stopped because of Casey’s concession. Casey asked to stop it. If he had not done so, it would have continued.
Pennsylvania requires automatic recounts if the margin of victory for a statewide office or ballot question appearing on the ballot in every election district is less than or equal to 0.5% of all votes cast for the office or ballot measure.[2] Such a recount must be ordered by the secretary of state no later than 5:00 p.m. on the second Thursday following the election. The recount shall begin no later than the third Wednesday following the election and must be completed no later than 12:00 p.m. on the following Tuesday.
The recount did start because it was in the .5% margin. However, PA Department of State stopped it Friday.
From the article:
The Pennsylvania State Department said Friday that it halted the commonwealth-wide recount that began Monday “because Sen. Casey withdrew and continuing the recount would not be in the best interest of taxpayers.”
a million would be a good start and I’d be shocked if we got that many.
deporting 11-20m that came in during Biden’s “come and be citizens and vote D” policy is untenable. The cost would be monumental, not to mention the task of identifying and catching them all.
if Trump does deport 1M I would consider it a success and not levy negative comments against him for not making it more. It sends a strong message to deport 1m already here
Deport all criminals except convicted murderers and rapists serving terms (if you deport them you run a risk of them coming back, let them rot in jail).
Deport as many as the 1.3 million with deportation orders already in place as you can find. Deport as many as the recent arrivals living on the streets or being sheltered by cities and states as you can find.
That would be a good start.
To create good will, offer work permits for the Dreamers with a path to citizenship for those gainfully employed, crime free or that serve in the military in 5 years. These people are not going anywhere anyway.
Do not raid homes and businesses, the videos will turn public opinion against the effort . Do not deport people with American wives and children the MSM will use the videos to their advantage, they will run endless stories of children screaming Daddddyyyy as the father is dragged away.
The Pennsylvania State Department said Friday that it halted the commonwealth-wide recount that began Monday “because Sen. Casey withdrew and continuing the recount would not be in the best interest of taxpayers.”
Ok so maybe the SOS has that power. From the wording of the law I didn’t think Casey had that power.
If they close the border and deport the criminals and gang members and everyone with deportation order in place (and those that get deportation orders in the interim) I would call it very successful.
Of course the immigration deadenders will be unhappy but if they deport even a million I would be very surprised.
Jason. Spot on. Your comment should be the EXACT blueprint for this administration, though I would not offer citizenship that quickly. 15 years minimum unless you serve in the Military, then anyone who is in for ten years its automatic, 1-4 years (5 year wait), 5-10 (3 year wait).
As long as the dreamers category does not include 30 year olds that went to online dodgy certificate programs, I would be ok with five years, though warning, those “dreamers” are more likely than not to vote D and have been radicalized by the educational system.
Dreamers who are gainfully employed, pay taxes, have no criminal record should get green cards and be processed immediately for citizenship. These people have to reapply every couple years to continue their dreamers status, and are usually very lawful, cream of the crop people. After 4 years of seeing people illegally coming across, getting undeserved benefits, dreamers should be put in line with other immigrants trying to access citizenship legally.
Jason. I didn’t mean to imply that there should be a litmus test. Just warning that some, especially the younger ones are radicalized, especially in CA where the atzlan movement is big with college “dreamers”
I think we need to clearly define what a dreamer is. It’s a young person, not a 35 year old, who was brought here by there parents and is in school, or just recently graduated, or a trade school. Etc. something that demonstrates they intend on contributing to society.
”The robot operates with minimal human intervention, scanning rows of crops using 12 high-resolution cameras that detect weeds in real time. Its onboard AI system processes this information, distinguishing weeds from crops with incredible accuracy. Once a weed is identified, carbon dioxide lasers target and destroy it instantly, leaving the surrounding soil undisturbed. This approach eliminates the need for chemical herbicides, reducing environmental harm while preserving soil health. It also alleviates the physical burden of manual weeding, offering farmers a more efficient alternative.
Beyond its functional benefits, the introduction of robots like the Autonomous Weeder marks a significant shift in the agricultural sector. These machines demonstrate the potential of integrating AI into farming practices, enabling farmers to achieve more with fewer resources. As the capabilities of such robots continue to expand, they are not only solving immediate issues but also setting the stage for a future defined by sustainable and technologically advanced agriculture.”

”A top US Navy admiral has warned this week that the recent move of Washington to give advanced long-range weapons to Ukraine is depleting US missile stocks.
Adm. Sam Paparo, Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command, told a Brookings Institution audience earlier this week that earlier in the war the US was shipping less valuable weaponry to Ukraine, which didn’t deeply impact readiness for big global threats like China. More advanced defense tech is currently being shipped, and this presents a serious problem for the United States’ long-term defense needs.”
Jan. Your zerohedge anti- US military site article actually proves my point.
the one admiral out of how many clearly states we’ve been sending equipment that is out of date and non essential to help a people rebuff a brutal invasion.
the idea that a few long range missiles are going to affect our current readiness in the case of an absolutely non-existent chance of war with China in the near future is just pure hyperbole, and designed to mask the real reason some don’t want us to aid the innocent people against an invasion who are clamoring for our help.

Russia invaded Ukraine and there’s no rational or excuse that can warrant the invasion and subsequent innocent life loat
we will not stop supporting Ukraine until a treaty is reached

Zelensky does not own yachts paid for by Dollars diverted from the American border
like it or not we will play an important role on the world stage
we do need to also focus on our border and the economy
There is more than one military man asserting how we are creating a self-imposed vulnerability, by giving away armaments, that will take a long time to re-supply, when trying to defend multiple hot spots popping up all over the world. I realize Vic has some kind of inside edge in the weaponry business, however, as more people come forward with reservations about this war, you are seeing stories getting thru filtered news that counter ones we have been told for years now.
Jason, I bet a year from now, when more is revealed about the war, the orchestration of the Capitol riots, your bravado will take a hit by the realty you’ve skewed others for posting about.
The tantamount reason there have been so many threatening gambits thrown at Trump is he has refused to join the “good old boys club,” taking bribes, offers of power etc., making him more beholding to the real power brokers of the world. Consequently, he’s been vilified, prosecuted, impeached, shot at, attempted bankruptcy and yet still was not deterred in seeking an unrealistic run for a second term presidency. I don’t know if he’ll be able to fulfill his goal of reforming our government, bringing back accountability and justice for all the injustices committed for decades now, but his more controversial cabinet, one in tune with his agenda, is a good start.
those who entered committed a crime. They deserve to be punished according to the crime. Were most over punished and over prosecuted. Yes. Should they be seen as heroes for breaking the law. No
Democrats wasted 4 years talking about J6. MAGA wants to waste 4 more years talking about J6. 8 years wasted on something that would not have happened if people had just stayed outside.
Of course, if Dems do the exact same thing on 1/6/2025, Jan will call for firing squads.
To orchestrate means to “arrange”…if barricades were removed, if national guard was deliberately delayed, if Pelosi refused Trump’s authorization for National Guard, if police used unnecessary kinds of crowd control, agitating and beating people up (as was confirmed by outside police experts watching films of the riot), if pipe bombs were planted and FBI lied about their follow up, if reports about the number of police informants in the crowd were refused to be issued before the election, if a hangman’s noose was erected before crowds congregated around the Capitol but were blamed on Trump supporters….then the J6 event seems subject to being “orchestrated” in order to prevent House members from going through numerous complaints regarding election irregularities before Biden could be certified.
None of what you wrote above, not one single thing, dictates that any J6 “protestor” should have entered the Capital. It was a crime. It was trespassing. Any conscious adult, and even those semi-conscious knew that it was against the law to enter the Capital.
No excuse for what they did. No excuse for being over prosecuted and punished either.
Kamala received 2M less votes in California than Biden did, Trump stayed about the same (6M votes)
With his vote totals in PA, WI, AZ, NV, GA, VA and MN he would have won all those states against Biden in 2020, and lastly, with his total in this election, he would have beaten Biden by 12,000 votes in Michigan in 2020.
Re j 6. It needs to be looked into for the reasons I noted/discussed here.
Why did Biden’s Beotch and Piglosi (knowing a large crowd was in dc) keep security personnel/capitol police at a low #. Was this due to Covid, bad planning, or a combo?
Why were fib and cia embedded? To embed takes planning.
Why did capitol police fire tear gas on a windy day? It blew back taking out large numbers of security/police resources. How did firing tear gas violate a rules of engagement?
Why did they miss the bombs at Rnc and dnc hq? Quemala was present at dnc hq around the time. Did the secret service miss it? How the terrorist was not arrested?
Who built the “noose” to hang pence? Why was that person never arrested?
Tina. I get all that and some of those are legit questions that should be asked. But you have to be honest. They shouldn’t have gone into the capital building. They knew it was wrong. I’m sure no one here would have done that
Scott Bessent understands tariffs as a negotiating tool to get a leg up against America’s adversaries, and he’s unafraid to stand up to China. He’s also very open minded about the role innovation and technology will platy to bolster American prosperity. I think the pick is solid.
If the capitol was properly secured, j6 would, not have happened.”
Brilliant logic.
This is like saying if a bank has poor security, and the bank robbers steal the money, they shouldn’t be prosecuted.
Saying the rioters were entitled to attack the Capitol because the security was poor is typical of people who think anybody they agree with should not be responsible for their actions.
The allegations made about the Monterey encounter involving Hegseth is a lie. The sequence of events and her own conduct lead to the pretty unremarkable conclusion that she engaged in an extra-marital one-night stand with a TV host she found attractive, and then regretted it a few hours later. Her “excuse” for being gone from 2:00 am to 4:00 when her husband went looking for her — “I fell asleep in a friend’s room” — was not likely to hold up because she would need to enlist a friend to support her lie and there was no way for her to know if that would work. So she made up the story about her memory being fuzzy — implying but not claiming she was drugged. Then claimed the sex was not consensual. The video does not support her claim. The statement given by the hotel worker does not support her claim. The descriptions of her conduct the next morning at the event does not support her claim. She made a choice she regretted. She made an innocent guy pay the price.
Erik Prince on Sunday Morning Futures: The US has “No Means” to Shoot Down Russia’s Mach 9 Hypersonic Ballistic Missiles that Were Just Fired on Ukraine
”Putina and Jan don’r care about the murder, wounding, rape of Ukrainians. Let them own it.”
It’s you who doesn’t care about the suffering of the Ukrainian people – the very ones who want a quick negotiated peace. All you want is war. Own it yourself!
Poor ignorant Jan. The Ukrainians just won’t die or surrender fast enough. I want a peace where Putin orders Russian troops out of Ukraine and then is executed as a war criminal. Probably won’t get that but I have hope.
Sorry Jan. Take a trip to Kiev or any of the other cities in Ukraine and ask the people if they want to repel the Russians who invaded their homeland and killed their people or if they prefer a quick negotiation because some Trump followers think that Zelensky is getting rich from old weapons.
Bitter, with all due respect, neither of those is going to happen. There will be peace soon, but Russia will keep some territory, and Putin is going nowhere. It’s not what you want to hear, but is reality.
The estimated million people at the Eclipse to hear Trump speak January 6th 2021 were peacefully congregated. No skirmishes broke out. Documentation from attendees showed how courteous even “loving” the crowd was. It wasn’t until the speech was over, people were leaving the area that the fracas at the Capitol was encountered, initially started by police shooting rubber bullets and throwing flash grenades disorienting and wounding some in the crowd. For people not to acknowledge the cause and effect of what went on that day, how the environment around 100 House members primed to speak about state election irregularities, was deliberately set up to encourage security vulnerability and breeches, mislead protesters to enter the Capitol Building, causing the abandonment of House testimonies and a hasty confirmation of Biden as President, is incredulous.
Tina, I actually don’t think people like bitter even care about the fate of the People in Ukraine. It’s more about winning and being right for him, like a game being played. And, yes, what is worked out, after so much blood and chaos has happened, will be far less equitable to the Ukrainians than the deal created years before and tossed aside by the UK and US.
Vic, the Gallup survey conflicts with your assessment that people want to keep on fighting. Also, what stories do make it out of Ukraine describe war fatigue , and more soldiers being killed than can be replaced. The conditions seem bleak, almost inhuman for those Ukrainians actually around the war zones. Kiev, OTOH, has felt the effects of the war far less than other areas where villages have been razed or even erased.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph. There was no deal. It was a demand by Putin for Ukraine to unilaterally surrender territory and Ukrainian citizens as well as Ukraine’s sovereignty over its defense to Russia. There was nothing equitable about it. I truly pity you for embracing so many Putin talking points. Putina was a Federal employee so I don’t expect much from her. Jan is a nurse. I thought nurses were intelligent and compassionate. Apparently not. At least one is neither.
I can’t believe I saved HHR just to see it become a conspiracy blog. Jan and Tina discredit the excellent work by DW to make HHR the best it has ever been with their nonsense.
Look, Jan. I ve been there. Ive helped contribute to the defense. The things you are reading are from people who are vested in this anti-US, globalists are ruining the world movement. It does not reflect reality, and it does not reflect sentiment within Ukraine, both in Kiev and in the outskirts. They want to be rid of the Russian invaders who have killed so many. They have a right to want to defend their nation, and we, the international community, have an obligation to help them defend it until a peaceful resolution can be met.
This blog is about so much more than fighting over Ukraine and J6. I have tried over and over and over again to diffuse the arguments over both. We all know where everyone here stands, so why continue to bring it up. NO ONE IS CHANGING THEIR VIEW. PERIOD!!!!!
It’s like the abuse victim that keeps going back to the abuser. Jan. We don’t agree with your take on the Ukraine, the constant stories from heavily biased sources won’t change what we believe. Bitter, you won’t change others view on the Ukraine either.
LETS…..MOVE….ON
We have just, collectively, won a huge victory defeating (for the time being) a Marxist and gaining the Senate as well, staving off far left Judges and potentially SC Justices. Can we all just be happy about different ends of the Republican Spectrum coming together to win.
The country wants peace, they want an end to chaos and they want a great economy. Let’s concentrate on that, and less on retribution, fighting about our differences and who’se to blame for what.

So not clear to me how he can stop the recount.

So in the end, Trump received 3.000.000 more votes than in 2020, and Kamala received 7,000,000 less votes than Biden.

More interesting tidbits

Why did capitol police allow a gallows/noose to be constructed on Capitol grounds and ever arrest anyone.

Tina. I get all that and some of those are legit questions that should be asked. But you have to be honest. They shouldn’t have gone into the capital building. They knew it was wrong. I’m sure no one here would have done that

If the capitol was properly secured, j6 would, not have happened. Sadly, it was not even though they knew 1 million would be in attendance.
The noose, not protecting the capitol, the use of tear gas on a windy day (blow back), and the planting of bombs are especially alarming.

Scott Bessent understands tariffs as a negotiating tool to get a leg up against America’s adversaries, and he’s unafraid to stand up to China. He’s also very open minded about the role innovation and technology will platy to bolster American prosperity. I think the pick is solid.
