Of course it probably makes no difference what the Ukrainian people want to our armchair warriors here. War fatigue, though, has been reported for some time by both civilians and those fighting on the front lines. But, those wanting the war to continue slam anyone, looking for an off-ramp to war, as a Putin stooge. So, I guess 52% of Ukrainians now join the coalition of Putin stooges.

and the lesson here is in a statewide election in PA, if you are the Republican, you better be ahead by 50,000 votes on the Wednesday morning after election day. If you are not, they are going to try and take it away with spurious late and undated ballots.

One small detail – Casey conceding the election does not stop the recount. It is automatic because of the margin. Casey opted to not stop the recount when he had the chance. I guess he did not count on the PA Supreme Court actually ordering counties to stop finding votes.

This is a reminder that the greatest obstacle facing the incoming admin will not be the Democrats. GOP senators derailed Matt Gaetz’s confirmation. They do not care about “ethics.” These are some of the most unethical people on the planet. These senators put petty personal gripes over the agenda and should face electoral consequences from the voters they betrayed.

I’m not surprised that Gaetz had to withdrawal. In fact, I would not be surprised if that wasn’t the plan all along.
In fact, I posted on here after he was nominated, that he was probably a throw away pick by Trump to take the heat off the other nominees, so they would have a better chance of getting confirmed.

I doubt that Trump had a plan to nominate Gaetz so that other nominees would make it through. He nominated Gaetz because he was wanted to break things.
The R senators want to give Trump what he wants. But, Gaetz is not a serious person. They would not give Trump such an unserious pick for an important job.
The big question is whether Gaetz will be back in the next Congress.
