Rumors in NC among GOP grassroots is that Tillis will not run for re-election to the senate but will run for NC governor in 2028. These predate the election this year. We shall see.
Additionally, I believe that President Trump needs to remove from ANY governmental position he can as well as actively campaign to defeat in the primaries in 2026, ANY GOPer who is not loyal to him, worked for Biden or Harris or who didnt actively seek to help in this election.
Also, he needs to expand party funding for those party committees who focused on early voting and elevate the Charlie Kirks and Scott Presleys of the world. There are a number of elections in prior years that we could have won but resources were wasted on the establishment’s favored consultants or those candidates who played ball with McConnell and especially Paul Ryan, both of who publicly supported Trump but worked behind the scenes or withheld resources from candidates who were MAGA.
I do hope that Trump makes room for people who arent MAGA but who did actively help him and especially some with differing views from him. He can rebuild the party and our country by avoiding pandering to leftists, globalists, and big corporations who dont give a crap about our nation.

firing everyone in government because you don’t like them is not the responsible thing to do. The chaos that ensues would have devastating effects on the country. Trying to fire Powell would a. Trigger a fight b. Ensure that every time a new President comes in they will fire the old Fed chairman and c, cause markets to collapse and cause an economic meltdown that will inflict massive pain on every day Americans.
this is not a REVENGE tour. He needs to act like an adult, and put his mark on the country in an orderly fashion.
Powell turned down the idea of leaving his position and when asked at a press conference Thursday whether he thought he’d be required to leave if the president asked him to, he said “no.”
Firing Powell from his role as chairman is a bit of a legal gray area, according to American think tank Brookings, which noted there is no statute that includes details about whether a president can remove a fed chair and that other presidents have determined they lacked the authority to fire someone from the position.
No president has ever attempted to remove a Federal Reserve chairman from their role before, though, so the authority to do so has not been legally tested.
An unnamed senior Trump adviser told CNN that Trump will likely not try to remove Powell during the rest of his term, which ends in a year and a half.
Federal Reserve experts also do not expect Trump to try firing Powell, according to MarketWatch.
If putting a team in place who shares your mission is considered revenge, then bring on the revenge!
As far as Trump being a RINO, RINO stands for REPUBLICAN in name only. Bitter and others who hold to the idea that Trump is a RINO are stuck in a former self-understanding of the party that the party no longer has. It is like the Democratic party used to stand for working people and family values. That party does not exist. The party of the Bushes, Cheneys, Romneys doesnt exist either accept in the stubborn memories who are clinging to the past.
I was the first Republican in my family. Ancestral hatred of the GOP for what they did to Southern whites after the War for Southern Independence was still a thing. Reagan changed that.
Trump has changed the GOP as well. Adjust or not, that is the GOP future. Trump bringing in working class and global-skeptic Americans will keep the ideological neo-con globalists from getting our nomination. Hybrid MAGA/More Hawkish candidates may have success. But you will never see a Romney, Bush or Cheney-type candidate as the GOP presidential candidate again.
Trump is the mother of all RINOS by any definition of the word.
He is not a conservative, was a liberal Dem most of his life, and was contributing to Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer just a few years before becoming President. If that doesn’t constitute being a RINO then you true conservatives better rewrite the definition.
If anyone can think of ONE conservative principle Trump has ever made a compelling case for in speech or in writing I would be surprised.
using terms like neo con and globalist churns up Ron Paul type policies.
no politician in America is more anti America and disastrous than Ron Paul. Worse than any Dem, so let’s get away from using those terms.
we live in a global world, especially now that the barrier to information is gone with this digital age therefore we can not ignore our place in the world, or our responsibility in it as a leader.
war – were not involved in any war and haven’t been for some time. I am confused as to this continued Paul term “endless war”…since we haven’t been involved in one for awhile.
as a former soldier I certainly think we should have true justification before sending troops into the battlefield, and that means a strong strong military, peace throigh strength should be our motto
LOL, just because you associate opposition to neo-con, Wilsonian style fight for democracy around the world wars as conjuring Ron Paul imagery doesnt make it so, it just means your images are very myopic.
I support blowing HAMAS, Gaza, Iran, etc. out of existence if they attack Israel or harbor those that do. I, however, do not support funding wars against Russia or Ukraine or however you understand it, Russia didnt attack us, Ukraine is the money-laundering cesspool for every anti-American globalist alive.
And I do not support Ron Paul for anything. Never did. Never would.

Well for sure stoner will be fired. Trump said within 30 seconds.”
Smith is not staying around to be fired. I think he will dismiss the charges.
The guy is a partisan hack.
If you look at his X account, it all Dem talking points.

He can put Bob Barr back.
Barr was really good with the Mueller clown show, but dropped the ball on the Hunter laptop, probably because he was lied to by the FBI.
But he has made clear he thinks all the Trump indictments are political and they need to be dismissed.

In my opinion.
