Lots of non/anti Trump angst today on social media and everwhere.
Lets focus on why the American voters fairly convincingly voted to return Trump–with a HUGE train load of HUGE flaws–to the white house?
By the numbers nationwide, I submit that had the R primary voters used their brains and chosen, say DeSantis/Haley combo as their team of candidates (with NO TRUMP baggage) they would have also won VA, MN, and Illinois and possibly NJ and other states to make an even LARGE Republican blowout.
Why the people opposed to Trump are more upset today than they should be nd why they ARE that way today:
–Bad (corrupt?) polling that was pulling for Kamala and led many down the rainbows and unicorns path.
–Bad MSM coverage which was 78% Positive for Kamala and 80-some % negative regarding Trump, leading to real concerns about a fair press.
–Biden was TERRIBLE as president–for Pete’ sake please admit that!: He and his policies ran the country into the ditch big time. Biden’s EOs war on fossil fuels and big spike in gas and energy prices; Afghanistan debacle withdrawal, Ukraine/Russia, Hamas/Israel war; massive inflation brought on by massive federal spending; wages and saving being eroded by inflation; massive ushering in of 9-11 million MORE illegal aliens and all the THAT forced federal, state and local spending to accommodate these illegals at the expense of providing for American citizens as well as big strain on the healthcare system; Biden push for the LBGTQ transgender nonsense and being pro boys in girls bathrooms and in girls sports; Biden made a bad choice for VP; a series of things that showed the federal government was simply not working the way it was supposed to–(highlighted by the poor federal response to the hurricane and flooding damage in western NC); Post-2020 election real news that the Hunter Biden laptop was real (another case of Americans being lied to and for a while snookered); Biden minions and press absolutely lying about Biden’s mental and physical decline and inability to lead or handle duties as president; Kamala switcheroo after all primaries were over; Kamala was a terrible candidate–no plans; Kamala bad VP choice; Kamala had over a BILLION dollars but ran a bad campaign with lots of ads that absolutely distorted the abortion issue and other issues.

I think Trump being the top of the ballot will cause the good R Senate candidates to lose in MI and WI, possibly VA. PA and AZ are out there too.
Why? Voters splitting votes and saying to themselves Biden/Harris/Walz is looney toons awful and definitely wrong path and hjuring me and my family, so have to hold nose and vote Trump. But they don’t trust Trump so will vote to send Ds to Senate to check Trump’s power.

–Kind of surprised Justice was at 69%. I thought he would be about 10 points lower. He will not last 6 years in the Senate. Bad health.
–Morissey win bigger than I thought. Had heard there was lots of behind the scenes opposition to him in the R party.
–Most races appear to have gone handily to the Rs. No surprise there
The person who fairly narrowly won the State House of Delegates race in the district where live….He is pretty far, far right and has made public statements about how he is opposed to public education, does not believe in compromise on anything and instead promises if elected to bring constant controversy.

Different groups of voters vote funny ways and for reasons that to them make sense. looking at just numbers does not tell the whole story. When you did deeper, if an R Senate candidates loses by 4,000, can you find 4,000 voters (or 2001) out of 3,000,000 who voted Trump but also voted for the D Senate candidate? I think you can, and will.
I stick by my theory.

Just musing over last night’s decisive results it seems to me that not only did Trump win, but the cancel culture, leftist media took a big hit last night. Also, with Harris’s big money advantage, it was the ragtag novices, grass roots, volunteer groups representing “the people” who really won. Identity politics also was overcome by all classes, ethnicities, genders voting on issues rather than skin color and nationality differences.

Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA group was a big component in aiding and abetting a Trump/Republican win. Kirk’s focus on the youth, going repeatedly to campuses, made definitive inroads in compelling young people to at least listen to and consider republicans as a political choice. As it turned out Trump won the white youth demographic – something earlier unheard of.

Kamala tonight at 6 p.m. SHOULD give a conciliatory speech, concede and wish Trump well, denounce any violence, stress that her side is 100% behind a peaceful transition of power and urges everyone to be peaceful and work to get over their differences, she pledges to work together with Trump to solve the myriad problems facing Americans and do her part to unite the country.
Sadly she won’t and will instead blame lack of understanding by the voters and hint at racism and sexism as contributing to her loss. And a late start… Probably saying things, like “the election shows that America is, sadly, not YET ready for a female president, especially one of color.” There by stirring the race card pot. And that she hopes Trump will work to ensure fairness to all minorities (race, women, illegal aliens, transgender, LBGTQEIEIO, etc. )and as president that Trump works within the confines of the sacred constitution [that she herself does not believe in]. I think he has much more pressing issues than J6 trespassers, to be honest. I think he should pick someone to review sentences, and commute those who were over sentenced, but if they committed a crime, they deserve to be punished. Entering the Capital that day is a crime.
It’s time to put J6 to bed…on both sides. This should not be a retribution Presidency, Trump has a very unique opportunity in history to make a difference, and find some sort of uniting message. He reached a group of people that were not traditionally Republicans, he needs to help make them permanent, while stopping the alienation of traditional conservatives and Republicans. There’s space for all, we just have to get rid of the “100% of my agenda or you’re my enemy” mantra.

Finally, sending swat teams around the country to terrorize and prosecute people, years after the 1-day protest. is more of a Soviet tactic not an American one.
