Haleprin is going to come out this election looking either like a sage/genius, or he will be totally discredited.
Props to him, though, for trying to get rank and file Dems on his platform to come down off the ledge and engage with Republicans and learn “peace, love, and understanding.”
”I think Cahaly got a little blindsided by the 2022 results and is being more careful this time around with his samples and weighting. Still, two and a half points ahead in GA is fine, it’s still a closely divided state that will rely partially on reduced AA turnout to win. We’ve know that going into the GE.”
all I can say is one side is going to be totally blindsided. Republicans really think Trump will win, though I think they are more cautious than Dems, Dems are totally lockstep in believing it’s going to be a blowout…at all levels.
I have never heard of Halperin being a sexual predator but he has always been a fair reporter. I have watched him for decades. He is more D than R, but he is honest.

Donald Trump will be having his 1939 Nazi event at Madison Square Garden where he will attempt to showcase his love for Hitler. I can't believe this is America in 2024.

Zzzz… you really are a stupid moron.
I didn’t say they were the same issue.
I said he has always been a highly partisan leftist hack who was fired for being a sexual predator and admitting it.
And “gossip” my ass.
Mark Halperin:
I am profoundly sorry for the pain and anguish I have caused by my past actions. I apologize sincerely to the women I mistreated.
The world is now publicly acknowledging what so many women have long known: Men harm women in the workplace. That new awareness is, of course, a positive development. For a long time at ABC News, I was part of the problem. I acknowledge that, and I deeply regret it. As I said earlier in the week, my behavior was wrong. It caused fear and anxiety for women who were only seeking to do their jobs.
In recent days I have closely read the accounts of women with whom I worked at ABC News. I have not read these accounts looking for discrepancies or inconsistencies. Instead, in almost every case, I have recognized conduct for which I feel profound guilt and responsibility, some involving junior ABC News personnel and women just starting out in the news business...
I now I can never do enough to make up for the harm I caused.
I only listen to Halperin regarding his political analysis. I dont care about someone’s holiness when it comes to the singers, political analysts, actors, etc. Sexual harassment doesnt have an agenda when it comes to politics.
And I have been watching the man for decades. He is left of center but hardly a leftist hack. You are just a belligerent loudmouth looking to provoke. Go to bed.
“On August 18, 2019, publisher Regan Arts announced that Halperin had signed a new book deal. The book, entitled How to Beat Trump: America’s Top Political Strategists on What It Will Take, was published in early-November 2019. Contributors to the book include David Axelrod, Donna Brazile, and James Carville. Both CNN and NBC declined to promote the book”
What a great guy, Albertus Idioticus has some great role models!
More “gossip”
“Ater news broke about the upcoming book, there was widespread criticism and outrage, with Gretchen Carlson calling the deal “a slap in the face to all women.” Rebecca Katz, a political strategist said on Twitter, “you can beat Trump without supporting the career rehabilitation of Mark Halperin.” CNN political commentator Karen Finney called Halperin “a predator” and denounced publisher Regan Arts. Eleanor McManus, who had written of being sexually harassed by Halperin as a 21-year-old, commented: “He leveraged his position as a prominent journalist to prey on women… Giving him a book once again puts him in a position of authority and that is a slap in the face to all the women that he has victimized.”
So I didn’t hear the supposed Puerto Rican joke that was told at the rally tonight, but it’s getting a lot of play on X. Even some Republicans are trying to distance themselves from it. Pennsylvania has about a half a million Puerto Rican voters. I know it was a comedian and not Trump who said it, but hope this doesn’t come back to bite Trump in the azz. Probably wasn’t the best timing for it.
When I search on YouTube using “joe rogan trump interview” it’s the third one down the list after the “top news” banner of irrelevant videos. Surprised it was that high.
All the Dems must have gotten their talking point orders. Almost everyone on X is tweeting how racist the Madison Square Garden event was. That’s all you are going to hear about on every newscast for the next week.
WTF would you bring a comedian on stage. I too also hope it doesn’t bite him in the backside, but…thats the difference between us and Dems. They can say anything and not worry it will affect them with voters.
someone makes an off the cuff joke, a comedian, and we are worried it will sink the entire election.
In my opinion it was just stupid to give the Dems even a tiny opening. Repubs have all the momentum going into the last week. Now this is all we are going to hear about until Election Day, and puts Trump campaign on defense. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out, but to me it was an unforced error at the worst time possible. I understand it was just a joke made by a comedian, but that’s not the way it will be reported.
The comedian was a dork, not popular with the audience at all. In fact most of his jokes fell flat or were just inappropriate for the venue. Someone is going to be grilled for hiring him.
Rick Scott: “This joke bombed for a reason. It’s not funny and it’s not true. Puerto Ricans are amazing people and amazing Americans. I’ve been to the island many times. It’s a beautiful place. Everyone should visit. I will always do whatever I can to help any Puerto Rican in Florida or on the island.
Most of the speeches were great from an A list of speakers. This is what will be remembered from such an iconic rally, not some flat footed jokes from an unknown comic. The press, of course, will do all they can to distort its success by doing their Hitler smear. But I actually think their verbal abuse will backfire on them, much like the orchestrated indictments did.
Late Sunday Nevada update….GOP lead has now grown to approx. 33500 despite that the only two urban counties were open and nothing in the rural counties.
Statewide the GOP is over 5% (5.2). This is more and more looking like a Trump pickup.
The one state that concerns me the most is Pennslyvania. I mentioned this before with Trump going everywhere in that state to campaign and this is the state that Dr. Oz was leading all the way up to election day only to lose.
From what I gather from all of the early votes, mail in, absentees and such the D’s have a 57-43% lead. I know the R’s had a huge upswing of registrations while the D’s lost many but the D’s still have a 385,000 advantage after all of the registration changes.
