I just read the Adams indictment. I am not overwhelmed about the evidence, it seems like he got a lot of “discounted” benefits, that he pressured the FDNY to allow a building owned by Turkish nationals to open before all inspections, and that he gamed the matching campaign donation system by getting straw donors to make the initial donation that was matched later from public funds.
“In October 2016, ADAMS and his domestic pattner (“Adams’s Partner”) traveled to India. Adams’s Partner purchased economy class tickets for herself and ADAMS on the Turkish Airline for approximately $2,286. Two days before their flight was scheduled to depart, ADAMS accepted upgrades for himself and his partner by the Turkish Airline to business class at no cost. Business class is the highest class offered by the Turkish Airline. Had ADAMS and his partner purchased their business class tickets, the tickets would have cost approximately $15,000 total.”
The defense can say people, especially VIPs, get upgrades all the time, where is the crime is he paid $2200 for the ticket.
The indictment is full of stuff like this, expensive suites that cost $15k a night, he “only” paid $600. A jury might think $600 is already a lot, so what if he was upgraded.
In general, I think he charges are going to be difficult to get a conviction with a NY jury.

On 9/26/16 Trump was at 44.3% in the RCP Average versus Hillary, and finished with 3 points better on Election Day.
On 9/26/20 Trump was at 43% in the RCP average, and finished almost 4 points better on Election Day.
Trump is currently at 47.2% in the RCP average today, which is also 9/26. Which means despite this being his unprecedented (for the mass media era) third run for the presidency, he has managed to actually become more popular than he was before.

I predict that the Nov. 2024 vote will be an even bigger sheot show than 2020, with lots of state showing a very narrow popular vote margin between who won and who lost. I had a dream some years back where I had started my own company.
The name of the company was “Research and Marketing Strategies.” The firm (RMS) was located in Lexington KY. We started off doing marketing strategies for higher Ed institutions and other government entities throughout the country. Like doing research on whether or not a state should legalize weed, the financial pluses and minuses and what positives and negatives came from legalization in other states.
About 50% of the people who worked for me were native West Virginians. My other three partners were good friends from high school and from college. We dipped into the political polling market in a couple of states and were amazingly successful and accurate. We carefully selected our demographic and paid the people who participated in our polls $10 cash and also provided them with about $100-$200 in coupons from various restaurants and national retail stores. The people we used in the polling felt like they kinda worked for us and were truthful in their responses. We used a small small samples of only a couple hundred people in each state–but were amazingly accurate to final results. Political polling became our biggest revenue source. We even had a department that cut radio and TV ads.
Our first political polling efforts were only off between -.3% to +1.7%, while other pollsters were off big much bigger margins. We became the premier polling company–the gold standard. And quickly expanded our market to dozens and dozens of states as people started beating down our doors to hire us.
Then I woke up.

Harriet Hageman of WY was interviewed today, saying that half the Ukraine aid goes to officials, over $300 million goes for their own border protection, that every dollar given to them is a dollar borrowed which we are paying interest on – a trillion dollars a year of interest. I think the real “morons” are those who blindly want to keep the war funded and more people killed.
