  4. As a Catholic, I think Biden should be excommunicated for his enabling and pushing abortions. But the Bishops, Cardinals, and Pope won’t do it. The priest scandal undercut their backbones.

  5. Wow, Bitter creates a little backbone himself and actually criticizes the woke commie Bishops, Cardinals and Pope?

Of course, he won’t actually do anything about it. After all, according to him, the people who attend church and fund it are powerless.

With Scooter’s return, the ratio has improved and I think that will be reflected in the quality of the blog. I might be biased, but a strong A-hole presence is essential to the fabric of HHR.

Actually, you would think Bitter would know this, but Popes actually DO get elected.

    Like

  18. So Bitter’s contention is that Catholic parishioners have zero power. In other words, the people who attend church and fund the church through their donations and activities have no say in anything. According to Bitter, the 1.4 billion Catholics in the world have zero say on anything to do with the church.

I guess as Winston Churchill would say, never had so many wielded so little power and were subjugated to so few.

  19. Actually, Jason should know that Popes are only elected by Cardinals. Bishops and Cardinals are appointed by the the Pope. Parishioners do not elect Priests, Deacons, Nuns, Eucharistic Ministers, Bishops, Cardinals or Popes.

Not sure what Jason would have me do to change the structure or policies of the Church.

  21. Zzzzzzzzz. The Church alone sets Doctrine. It is not a democracy or republic. Parishioners can donate or not. They can stay or go to another church or religion but Doctrine is set by the Pope.

  22. So what does Jason want me to do about the Church? This should be good.

    Like

  23. Actually, growing up in SA did teach me quite a few things about the Catholic church. Parishioners CAN influence the selection of priests and can protest the content of homilies. I remember as a kid the bishop was replaced because there was an outcry that he was was being visited by hookers.

Make no mistake. The reason Catholics have a Communist as Pope was not an accident. The fact most of the Cardinals that elected him are far leftists is not an accident. The fact leftists control who is being appointed throughout the church is not an accident. The power these people yield would only be possible with the support of the parishioners who fund the church.

  59. Here is what I expect will be Trump’s response to reporters asking his what he thinks about Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala.

    *********************

“Well, Swift is a horrible, horrible person. Probably a communist. She may be pretty, but she sings bad. I draw bigger crowds than Swift. By the way, my daughter is prettier than Taylor. And I sing better too. You ought to hear me in the shower. And by the way, I LOOK pretty good in the shower, too. The brain dead idiot fans of hers should just not vote. They are all like 15 years old anyway. They are barely old enough to wipe their own little liberal behinds. And speaking of sh!t, they don’t know sh!t about shinola. Or the world, or economics, or closing the border or anything about government and high taxes. Or about illegal immigrants eating cats and dogs in Springfield. Her fans are all a bunch of liberal idealistic, narcissistic fools. If Taylor really loved America, she would be going around the U.S. giving FREE concerts–like I do with my Trump rallies–instead of traveling around the world…overseas… (not putting America first). She doesn’t care about the little people. She should not be charging thousands of dollars for a ticket to come see her. Swift is a price gouger.”

    ********************

Now some unsolicited advice from me to Trump on what he SHOULD say:

    _________________________

“Taylor Swift is a great entertainer and performer [ED note: resist the urge to day ‘like me’]”

“I admire Taylor as a performer and a successful businesswoman.

Unlike the huge MAJORITY of Americans and American FAMILIES, Taylor IS one of the few people in America doing MUCH, MUCH better financially and is MUCH better off than she was 4 years ago. Ed. Note: resist the urge to say ‘you know she first became famous when I was president…’]

Unlike most Americans, Taylor is a rich billionaire. She has taken optimum advantage of the great opportunities and freedoms we have in America. I support continuing those freedoms and opportunities. Oddly, Taylor is endorsing candidate Kamala who wants to limit those freedoms and opportunities. Kamala wants to increase government taxes and power over people and go to war against rich people. Kamala wants to put huge taxes on their wealth and income and seize the wealth of people like Taylor Swift. If Taylor stops to think about the choice we have to make in November, I think she will actually be voting for me.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But I think, more important than the opinion of gifted entertainer Taylor Swift, is the opinion of my plumber, electrician, auto mechanic, house [painter, construction worker, neighbor, armed forces veteran, factory plant worker, store clerk, retired person trying to live off social security during double digit inflation, young person struggling to find the money to go to college, families of those have been injured or killed by illegal aliens, people who are victims of crimes, families of those whose sons and daughters died at Abby Gate in Afghanistan during the botched Biden/Harris withdrawal, THEIR opinions and endorsements of me are more important. In considering the opinion of TAylor Swift, people really need to ask themselves are they better off now than they were 4 years ago.”

Also, despite precautions against doxing, there are a limited number of ABC employees who would have had access to this information, so they have to know ABC will know who it is and that there will be consequences. Imagine being in ABC news and outed as a Trump supporter.

But this blogger does have some credibility, he is not some fly by night poster, he is followed by some big conservative names and has been around for awhile. If he doesn’t come through, he will be finished as a credible poster on X, something he has cultivated for a long time.
