This is why data analysts continue to see big problems for Harris in the election and the electoral college — huge margins in Blue states mask this problem in polling numbers.
From Ruy Texiera's latest column —
The latest New York Times/Siena poll has Harris trailing Trump…
As a Catholic, I think Biden should be excommunicated for his enabling and pushing abortions. But the Bishops, Cardinals, and Pope won’t do it. The priest scandal undercut their backbones.
Scooter just arrived and instead of just basking in the glow of all the accolades and welcomes while he settles in, he already started contributing with a poll.
Personally, I think the site was handicapped by a low ratio of A-holes to non-A-holes. Basically we only had 4 active A-holes. With Scooter’s return, the ratio has improved and I think that will be reflected in the quality of the blog. I might be biased, but a strong A-hole presence is essential to the fabric of HHR.
For somebody who allegedly grew up in South America, Jason knows surprisingly little about the Catholic Church. Let me know when the next elections for Bishop, Cardinal, and Pope are held.
So Bitter’s contention is that Catholic parishioners have zero power. In other words, the people who attend church and fund the church through their donations and activities have no say in anything. According to Bitter, the 1.4 billion Catholics in the world have zero say on anything to do with the church.
I guess as Winston Churchill would say, never had so many wielded so little power and were subjugated to so few.
Actually, Jason should know that Popes are only elected by Cardinals. Bishops and Cardinals are appointed by the the Pope. Parishioners do not elect Priests, Deacons, Nuns, Eucharistic Ministers, Bishops, Cardinals or Popes.
Not sure what Jason would have me do to change the structure or policies of the Church.
Zzzzzzzzz. The Church alone sets Doctrine. It is not a democracy or republic. Parishioners can donate or not. They can stay or go to another church or religion but Doctrine is set by the Pope.
Actually, growing up in SA did teach me quite a few things about the Catholic church. Parishioners CAN influence the selection of priests and can protest the content of homilies. I remember as a kid the bishop was replaced because there was an outcry that he was was being visited by hookers.
Make no mistake. The reason Catholics have a Communist as Pope was not an accident. The fact most of the Cardinals that elected him are far leftists is not an accident. The fact leftists control who is being appointed throughout the church is not an accident. The power these people yield would only be possible with the support of the parishioners who fund the church.
It was obvious from my comment that I was referring to parishioners not voting. Unless you are a second tier A-hole and just feel a need to challenge a Founding A-hole, of course.
The Franciscan priests in my parish pretty much said that Biden and Pelosi were not following the Church’s teachings. The pastor recommended that we read the Epoch Times. So, some of the clergy will speak out. But, the bishops haven’t been.
Catholics have voted with their feet and wallets. In Texas, there have been non-diocesan Catholic schools set up. Those schools are more conservative than many of the diocesan schools.
Good Grief, the left had a meltdown yesterday when the news came out of a whistleblower that would show the truth. I mean, I love how accounts such as Meidas Touch, Pete Heinlen and others call me a liar when I have not ever printed a false story and they have printing hundreds. I mean, how hard is it to believe that Kamala’s best friend would give her aid in a debate? How hard is it to believe that they would fact check only Donald Trump? Well you losers, you better go back on my timeline, because everything that happened in the debate I had already printed it partly based on the affidavit that is going to rock your world. So, when the attorney for the whistleblower sends me back the affidavit, I will be putting it online, you can do all the examinations you want. It will hold water.”

jason knows that.
He is using his usual parsing of what someone says to imply something disparaging and jump u[ and down and say the other person is wrong about everything. He just wants a fight.

How about this novel theory:
jason, I was wrong when I wrote Popes are not elected. They are indeed elected, I should not have included the Pope when I said there are no elections for priest, nuns, bishop, etc.
How hard is that?
Instead, you would rather double down on being wrong.
I said the reason for how the moderators behaved in the ABC debate was simply because they were not going to let happen to Kamala Harris, what happened to Joe Biden and here she is admitting ithttps://t.co/8uwshNkQl7pic.twitter.com/x48TIQrz18
Next time I am wrong on something I will say “hey I once posted something where I was right on this same topic” or “you know what I meant, I didn’t mean what I actually wrote”.
Here is what I expect will be Trump’s response to reporters asking his what he thinks about Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala.
*********************
“Well, Swift is a horrible, horrible person. Probably a communist. She may be pretty, but she sings bad. I draw bigger crowds than Swift. By the way, my daughter is prettier than Taylor. And I sing better too. You ought to hear me in the shower. And by the way, I LOOK pretty good in the shower, too. The brain dead idiot fans of hers should just not vote. They are all like 15 years old anyway. They are barely old enough to wipe their own little liberal behinds. And speaking of sh!t, they don’t know sh!t about shinola. Or the world, or economics, or closing the border or anything about government and high taxes. Or about illegal immigrants eating cats and dogs in Springfield. Her fans are all a bunch of liberal idealistic, narcissistic fools. If Taylor really loved America, she would be going around the U.S. giving FREE concerts–like I do with my Trump rallies–instead of traveling around the world…overseas… (not putting America first). She doesn’t care about the little people. She should not be charging thousands of dollars for a ticket to come see her. Swift is a price gouger.”
********************
Now some unsolicited advice from me to Trump on what he SHOULD say:
_________________________
“Taylor Swift is a great entertainer and performer [ED note: resist the urge to day ‘like me’]”
“I admire Taylor as a performer and a successful businesswoman.
Unlike the huge MAJORITY of Americans and American FAMILIES, Taylor IS one of the few people in America doing MUCH, MUCH better financially and is MUCH better off than she was 4 years ago. Ed. Note: resist the urge to say ‘you know she first became famous when I was president…’]
Unlike most Americans, Taylor is a rich billionaire. She has taken optimum advantage of the great opportunities and freedoms we have in America. I support continuing those freedoms and opportunities. Oddly, Taylor is endorsing candidate Kamala who wants to limit those freedoms and opportunities. Kamala wants to increase government taxes and power over people and go to war against rich people. Kamala wants to put huge taxes on their wealth and income and seize the wealth of people like Taylor Swift. If Taylor stops to think about the choice we have to make in November, I think she will actually be voting for me.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But I think, more important than the opinion of gifted entertainer Taylor Swift, is the opinion of my plumber, electrician, auto mechanic, house [painter, construction worker, neighbor, armed forces veteran, factory plant worker, store clerk, retired person trying to live off social security during double digit inflation, young person struggling to find the money to go to college, families of those have been injured or killed by illegal aliens, people who are victims of crimes, families of those whose sons and daughters died at Abby Gate in Afghanistan during the botched Biden/Harris withdrawal, THEIR opinions and endorsements of me are more important. In considering the opinion of TAylor Swift, people really need to ask themselves are they better off now than they were 4 years ago.”
I am skeptical about the affidavit, mainly because usually the results don’t match the hype and it is unclear to me why the whistleblower would use this outlet for the story. Also, despite precautions against doxing, there are a limited number of ABC employees who would have had access to this information, so they have to know ABC will know who it is and that there will be consequences. Imagine being in ABC news and outed as a Trump supporter.
But this blogger does have some credibility, he is not some fly by night poster, he is followed by some big conservative names and has been around for awhile. If he doesn’t come through, he will be finished as a credible poster on X, something he has cultivated for a long time.
Regarding the “sorority sister” meme, not sure they were at the same college at the same time, there are probably several hundred thousand sorority “sisters” in any given sorority.
Trump thinks he draws bigger crowds than Taylor Swift? Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Does he try to make absurd statements or do they just happen? Focus, damn it. Stop trying to impress the Jans.
