This guy was one of Amoral Scumbag’s favorites to quote, so you know he is not a Trumper.”
The context is that the Kamala campaign is worried about PA, and that Walz didn’t really do anything for MI like they had hoped.
Walz violates the do no harm meme, contrary to Vance. I think they were both bad picks, but I don’t really think Vance is costing Trump any votes where it counts. Walz, on the other hand, brings no “moderation” to the ticket, while Shapiro brought what I would call “fake moderation”.
I view the Vance pick as an opportunity cost, a wasted opportunity to name a VP that brought some votes to the table.
Walz, however, is so radical and controversial that he could be costing Kamala some votes.
In my view, Shapiro would not have “nailed down PA”. He is not that popular and where he is most popular are areas already heavily Democratic. He claims he can “talk to rural Pennsylvanians”, but I doubt any would vote for Kamala just because of him, a bridge too far. But he wouldn’t cost Kamala any votes in PA and WI and MI and NH like Walz might.
In the end, Kamala’s best pick was probably Beshear, more by default. He didn’t have Shapiro’s “Jewish baggage” and he is not viewed as a far leftist like Walz.
very astute analysis Jason. I think you’re spot on, and I think that if the debate does not go well for Que Mala (lol) next week, she’s going to have a difficult time winning. I still think she will. I don’t think Americans are being fooled by the “forward” slogan…since she’s had four years to move us forward. I also think the border wall thing is a HUGE negative for her because instead of owning their positions, she is outright lying about wanting to build a wall.
Hunter Biden offered to plead guilty in his federal tax case on Thursday, Sept. 5, seeking to dodge a high-profile Los Angeles trial on the day that it was scheduled to begin, multiple outlets report.
Thirty minutes before jury selection kicked off, Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell said that the son of President Joe Biden would like to submit an Alford plea, which is also known as a “best interests plea,” per Cornell Law School. The plea means that Biden would accept a conviction on all nine of his federal tax charges while simultaneously maintaining his innocence.
U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi has not yet decided whether he will accept Biden’s new plea offer, calling for a brief recess so that prosecutors can form a response and suggesting that jury selection may continue, according to The New York Times.
I do not handle criminal cases. However, it may be an attempt to avoid the trial during the campaign and get the Judge to impose a lenient sentence. If sentencing takes place before January 20, 2025, Biden can pardon him on his way out the door.
I read where the Alford Plea, if accepted by the court, would allow Hunter to sue his critics for defamation when they call him a convicted felon, which he could not do if convicted normally. Seems like this is main hope, to not have to admit to his chronic lying and other underhanded schemes over the years, and then use lawfare against anyone who says otherwise.
Biden can pardon on 6th NOV as long as the race looks like it’s been decided or it’s not going to a very close count in the EC where rogue electors could affect the final result.
Of course, Dems don’t allow for rogue electors, they’ll make sure of it in the states they control. Only Republicans allow for that to happen, just like how they didn’t properly redistrict NE-2 to be GOP leaning.
One note about Georgia, as well as other states where Republicans are in majority power – I do believe that those in power would (not “will”, as I have no proof at this time) collude with Democrats to maintain whatever level of position/power they happen to hold at the current time. I do NOT trust any of them.
“Last week, one of our members, a member of the GOP, stole our database under the direction of the assistant head of the GOP in Georgia. And he refuses to give it back. The GOP want us to stop. We have to get along, we have to trust, we have to shut up…..””
““In our recent primary in Georgia,” Kim says, “not one elected candidate won fairly. We have the wrong people running. Votes were manipulated in all of Georgia’s 159 counties.””

Contrary to the Deep State, which is so secret everyone knows about it, at HHR secret missions are truly secret. In fact, only DW knows what it sis.

Pretty clever actually, if Tina invented it.

Aren’t you entitled to “maintain your innocence” even if convicted?
I read where this plea usually means the defense thinks the evidence is overwhelming but the accused is innocent.

The judge accepted the guilty plea but not the Alford.
Hunter must figure on being pardoned, because the judge says he faces 17 years.
Evidently the prosecution was going to call all the hookers and drug dealers to testify, a real horror show for the family.
So if the can avoid a trial AND jail, this plea is win win.
